21  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Antminer S21: Bitmain’s Game Changer in the Bitcoin Mining World. on: January 11, 2024, 12:07:09 PM
Have you seen the new power connector for new Bitmain S21 ASICs?
I hope the cable comes with the ASIC.

Why is Bitmain inventing new connectors? New ASICs have the same power as the old s19 series. If you lose such a cable, you won’t be able to quickly buy it in a store.

no i think they are a 3500 watt miner.

which is not the same as the s19 series.

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020231212155051379R2N3JfQc065A

below is the highest power s19 3247 watts

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020230626114337330962EtM9r0640

so 253 watts more.

after running a lot of antminers I know some are better and some are worse.

So a rated 3500 watt unit will sometimes do 3650 watts.

Absolutely, we got and Sample unit few days ago and couldn't get nowhere near 3500w Cheesy @200ths.
Power usage 3800-3900w.
Best Efficiency got on low power mode 160 th/s @ 2600w what is 16.4 j/ths which very efficient
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ethas + ZIL - Jasminer X16-P review. on: January 07, 2024, 07:39:31 PM
A New Benchmark in Efficiency and Performance
The crypto mining landscape is continuously evolving, with technological advancements leading the charge. A prime example of this innovation is the Jasminer X16-P, an Ethash ASIC miner that is redefining efficiency and power in the mining world. Our recent experience with a sample device from Jasminer revealed a remarkable performance that exceeds its initial specifications. The unit achieved an impressive 6000 MH/s at 1800W, surpassing the previously advertised 5800 MH/s at 1900W. This translates to a substantial 10% increase in performance upon delivery, setting a new standard in the mining industry.
Ethash Mining: Diversified Opportunities
The Jasminer X16-P’s capability extends beyond just Ethereum Classic (ETC), as it can mine a variety of Ethash coins, including Zilliqa (ZIL). As of 2024, some of the most popular Ethash coins include Ethereum Classic (ETC), known for its significant market cap and daily emission of coins.

Balancing Noise, Efficiency, and Power
While the Jasminer X16-P offers outstanding efficiency and power, it’s important to note that the unit is slightly noisier than initially advertised, operating at around 60 dB compared to the initially stated 40 dB. However, this noise level can vary depending on the miner’s mode and the ambient temperature, as hotter chips will cause the fans to run at higher speeds. The miner provides flexibility with different mining modes such as Balance, Efficient, and Performance, along with various overclocking settings to meet specific needs.

Comparing Jasminer X16-P with Other Models

The Jasminer line also includes the X16-Q model, offering 1960 MH/s at 600W, demonstrating Jasminer’s commitment to quality and efficiency. However, these models come with a higher price tag compared to competitors like the Bitmain Antminer E9 Pro, which delivers 3680 MH/s at 2200W. For those with lower electricity costs (below 10 cents per kWh), the Bitmain E9 Pro might offer a faster return on investment, generating approximately $10.5 USD daily in mining revenue. In contrast, the Jasminer X16-P, though quieter and more suitable for higher electricity cost environments, generates around $17 USD daily.

Investment Considerations: High Risk but High Reward
Investing in ASIC miners like the Jasminer X16-P carries inherent risks, particularly due to the limited number of large-market-cap Ethash coins available for mining. The two largest options are Ethereum Classic, with a $2.9 billion market cap and daily emissions valued at $325,000 USD, and Zilliqa, with a $400 million market cap. This limited scope highlights the high-risk nature of such investments.
Jasminer: Focused on the Retail Miner
Jasminer’s focus on the retail miner market is evident in the quality and practicality of its products, suitable for use at home or in an office setting. However, potential buyers should be aware of production and delivery challenges. The company has faced difficulties meeting production targets and has experienced delays in the past. The next batch of the Jasminer X16-P is scheduled for release at the end of February, but delays are possible.

Conclusion
The Jasminer X16-P stands out as a powerful and efficient option in the world of Ethash ASIC mining, suited for those prioritizing efficiency and lower noise levels. While the investment is high-risk, the potential rewards are significant, especially for those in environments with higher electricity costs. As with any investment in the volatile world of cryptocurrency, potential buyers should conduct thorough research and consider their specific circumstances before making a decision.

Unveiling the Efficiency King: Whatsminer M60S
In the dynamic world of cryptocurrency mining, efficiency and quality are paramount. The Whatsminer M60S, the latest Bitcoin ASIC miner from MicroBT, is making waves as one of the most efficient and well-built miners in the market today. With Bitcoin’s staggering 190% price increase last year and the lucrative rewards from BRC-20 transactions, the M60S stands out as an optimal choice for both new miners and those looking to upgrade their mining farms.
Advanced Technology and Build Quality
Built on the newest chip technology, the Whatsminer M60S boasts remarkable efficiency, making it a top contender in the world of Bitcoin mining hardware. The superior build quality, as attested by numerous customer testimonials, ensures reliability and longevity – key factors when considering the operational lifespan of mining hardware.
The Silicon Lottery: A Range of Models
Whatsminer offers a range of models based on the ‘silicon lottery’, where some variants deliver slightly higher efficiency and performance. Notably, the M60S includes an option for immersion cooling, enhancing its operational capabilities and durability.

Focused Review: The 186 TH/s Whatsminer M60S Model
Our focus today is on the 186 TH/s model of the Whatsminer M60S. This model not only meets but exceeds its advertised efficiency, delivering stable performance of 191-192 TH/s at 3500W. This translates to an efficiency of 18.22 J/TH, a commendable feat for an air-cooled ASIC miner.

Setting Up the Miner
Setting up the M60S is straightforward, akin to most ASIC miners. The initial step involves locating the miner’s IP address, for which we recommend the Advanced IP Scanner (download here). Upon accessing the miner via its IP address, use the default login credentials (username: admin, password: admin). Then, simply navigate to the miner configuration tab to insert your pool address and worker ID. For our review, we’re using the ViaBTC mining pool.
Performance Insights
After a few hours of operation, the M60S consistently performed at 191-192 TH/s. The chips’ temperature, though on the higher side, remained within acceptable limits, peaking at 80°C in a 10°C ambient environment. The pool’s recorded hash rate aligns with the miner’s panel, indicating accurate and reliable performance metrics.
Price vs. Quality: A Balanced Perspective
While the Whatsminer M60S comes with a higher price tag compared to Bitmain’s Antminer S21 (200 TH/s version), it compensates with its superior build quality. This factor is crucial for minimizing downtime and potential extra costs associated with warranty repairs. Although not the most cost-effective in terms of price per TH/s, the M60S is undeniably one of the most efficient air-cooled ASIC miners currently available for Bitcoin.

Conclusion: A Worthwhile Investment for Serious Miners
In conclusion, the Whatsminer M60S may not be the cheapest option, but its efficiency, build quality, and performance make it a compelling choice for serious miners. Its ability to operate efficiently and reliably could mean fewer disruptions and lower long-term costs, making it an
excellent investment for those looking to make a significant impact in the Bitcoin mining scene.

Large and high-quality server heatsinks for 3 chips on the board.
There will be no overheating or loud noise from such an ASIC, but the hashrate is not large. And the price of this device does not fall, despite the fact that there are no good coins for mining.
These still seems to be quite demanded devices, factory cannot meet production targets , new batches availible now in only February.
And the worst part prices keeps increasing.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / This KASPA Asic miner Will get you Bankrupt. on: December 24, 2023, 03:52:07 PM
When venturing into the world of cryptocurrency mining, choosing the right ASIC miner is crucial. This review focuses on the WindMiner K9, a Kaspa miner that promised much but delivered little, and contrasts it with more reliable alternatives like the Antminer KS3 and Iceriver KS3M.
A Closer Look at the WindMiner K9
Specifications: The WindMiner K9 was launched in November 2023, boasting a hash rate of 10.5 Th/s and a power consumption of 3300 W. It featured four fans, a voltage range of 165 to 300 Volts, and measured 305 x 185 x 290 mm, weighing 14800 g.

User Experience and Build Quality: My experience with the WindMiner K9 was fraught with issues from the outset. Not only did the hashing boards fail upon receipt, but the build quality was remarkably poor. The machine’s power supply was dislodged, most likely during shipping, due to inadequate packaging. Additionally, the hashing boards were not properly secured in their rails, raising serious concerns about the overall assembly quality.

Interface and Usability: Further complicating its use, the WindMiner K9 comes with a GUI that seems outdated, reminiscent of last century’s technology. The included tutorial, written in Chinese, does little to aid non-Mandarin speakers, making the setup process even more challenging.

Trustworthy Alternatives
Given these significant shortcomings, let’s explore more reliable options:

Antminer KS3:
A trusted name in the ASIC mining world, the Antminer KS3 offers a stable and efficient mining experience. Its reputation for quality and reliability makes it a far safer choice than the WindMiner K9.

Iceriver KS3M:
The Iceriver KS3M, while having its own minor issues, stands out for its overall decent quality. With a relatively low issue rate of about 4-5%, it proves to be a more reliable option compared to the WindMiner K9’s 100% failure rate.

Conclusion
The WindMiner K9’s combination of hardware failures, outdated interface, and poor build quality make it a risky choice for anyone serious about cryptocurrency mining. In contrast, the Antminer KS3 and Iceriver KS3M offer more reliable and user-friendly experiences. Investing in ASIC mining equipment is a significant decision, and it’s imperative to choose machines that not only promise high performance but also deliver reliability and ease of use.

32  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best bitcoin asic miner to buy before halving , Antminer S19K Pro: A Comprehensi on: November 07, 2023, 12:33:04 PM
The problem here is that the purchase of such an ASIC will be with the miner’s confidence in the rise in the price of Bitcoin, otherwise after the halving at 4-5 cents per kilowatt, the payback will be very long.

33  Bitcoin / Mining / Best bitcoin asic miner to buy before halving , Antminer S19K Pro: A Comprehensi on: November 03, 2023, 03:05:35 PM
Is the Antminer S19K Pro Mining at Advertised Rates? ✅
After rigorously testing for over few days, I can confirm it’s churning out an average of 120 to 122 terahash. Quite impressive and efficient, especially when pitted against giants like the S21. Let’s dive into why the S19K Pro might just be the mining juggernaut you’re looking for.

Power Efficiency and Real-World Performance 💡
While the S19K Pro devours more power than advertised (by about 100 Watts) 23j /ths, it’s a small price for the efficiency it offers. Remember, your mileage may vary based on your local climate since these miners can be quite sensitive to ambient temperatures.

Comparing Antminers: S19K Pro vs. S21 🥊
Before the much-anticipated Bitcoin halving, one might ponder whether to invest in the S19K Pro or wait for the new kid on the block, the Antminer S21. Priced at 1799euro, the S19K Pro seems like a steal compared to the S21’s hefty tag of $3,499 listed on mineshop.eu.

The halving will slash rewards from 6.25 to 3.125 BTC, which means efficiency and cost per terahash are more crucial than ever. Although the S21 is projected to be more efficient, the S19K Pro allows you to start mining immediately, providing a potential head start before the halving reshuffles the profitability deck. 🕒💰

Potential Firmware Upgrades 🔄
The stock firmware works fine, but there’s buzz about specialized firmware that could boost efficiency even further. Stay tuned for a follow-up review where I’ll delve into Luxor’s firmware, promising improved thermal design and potentially longer lifespan for the miner. 🛠️

Mining Profitability: The Numbers Game 🧮
Right now, the profitability hovers around break-even, especially for home miners with higher electricity costs. However, buying mining hardware during bear markets can be a strategic move, allowing you to mine and hold crypto, banking on future price increases. 📈

Final Thoughts: Is the Antminer S19K Pro Worth It? 🤔
While the S19K Pro is no walk in the park price-wise, it’s competitively priced against the efficiency it brings to the table. As the halving approaches, remember the golden rule: Buy hardware when it’s less profitable, mine and hold the coins, then sell the hardware during the bull run. 🐂

In the game of hashes and watts, the Antminer S19K Pro is a solid player, giving you the flexibility to mine now rather than wait for future models. So, if you’re ready to tackle the halving head-on, the S19K Pro might just be your ace in the hole. 🎩✨

We have sold good few , but not nearly not as much as the Kaspa miners. Problem with Jasminer X-16 they also have manufacturing issue, shortage of the chip supplies, late deliveries etc..
It will still be a mystery to me: who buys an ASIC with a payback of 1000 days?
Kaspa has very dynamic mining compared to this ASIC. My guess is that someone prefers quiet mining, and profit is not their first priority.
this 100% is targeted for retails.
People keeping miner as a heater in office/home etc..

mineshop, this is a great guide, but I still won't buy this ASIC  Grin

If you want to sleep in nights better dont Smiley
I will feel bad even during the day, because the profit falls every day.

What do you think about buying such an ASIC and starting mining yourself? You open the payment statistics, and the ASIC price will fall every day by 70-90% of the profit. With this condition, you will sell ASICs at a higher price, and the buyer will be convinced that the ASIC works without failures.

You will publish reports on your website and other resources and attract more traffic from other miners.
Have a YouTube channel where used to do these kind of videos. Asic miner market is like gambling, First batches of these miners already paidoff few weeks ago , no idea about he next batches as no crystal ball.
Same would say when it was released back in June rereleased.
This is the price on the official website
https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=000202309072106265634vjD33t7065F
Why is there such a wide range in prices for this ASIC?
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-ks3-8-3th
Kaspa Difficulty continues to grow, but the price of ASIC does not fall. But if Whitmain doesn’t sell out ASICs quickly, it means there isn’t much demand.
Bitmain website prices (almost) always will be higher, they sell miners trough sales channels cheaper price. And they have flash deals usualy during the China working hours.

I have a feeling that these miners are used. I always asked in many places why monero hashrate is damn high it is jot profitable with cpu even you have ryzen 9 it pays pennies. Now i got my answer.

It's called beta testing and the beta testers keep the rewards as a bonus. I doubt Bitmain sells used miners as new.

The competition for this miner is well known so it's all about pricing. Considering an equivalent number of CPUs also need
their own PSU, mobo, etc, it will be interesting to see where they priced the X5 in comparison to the cost of discrete CPU miners.

They test the devices 100% before they shipped, how long only Bitmain knows. I called premine ....ha
Seems bit overpriced curently, but the specs are quite nice.

I really like this quiet ASIC for a house or apartment, but I really don’t like the fact that its profit on free electricity is $3.63 per day, and its price is 3000 dollars, and in Europe these ASICs cost in the range of 3100-4000 dollars, but there they are very expensive electricity.
I don't know why this ASIC is so expensive?

The built quality on these seems premium , even probably the parts doesnt cost anything.
Packaging 10/10
I think my desktop is much noisier then the miner itself.
But yes ofcourse as in profit terms , seem way to long payback.
I think its price tag is so high as its the most efficient curently in terms of watt per mhs.
I thought that miners buy ASICs to make a profit from it Smiley maybe this ASIC is the most energy efficient, but its price is very high now. For 3000 dollars it is better to find a profitable ASIC for Bitcoin. This is a completely strange price offer from the manufacturer; it’s better to go all out with the Kaspa ASIC.
You might be saying same thing about KASPA miners in couple of month.
Only if you have crystal ball can tell you which ASIC would be the best choice.
Mine BTC miners, most developed and oldest coin.
I have already spoken about Kaspa ASIC many times. I do not deny the fact that you can make money with these ASICs, but for people with a weak nervous system this can be a big challenge.
Can you tell me how many X16-Q ASICs you sold?
I'm very interested in who buys these ASICs.
We have sold good few , but not nearly not as much as the Kaspa miners. Problem with Jasminer X-16 they also have manufacturing issue, shortage of the chip supplies, late deliveries etc..
