He guys,

i m trying to setup a masternode but i have the "you must set masternode=1 in the configuration" problem when i try to start the masternode. I followed TAOs How to step by step. I ve doublechecked that the .conf files are no .txt files. Do you have to install an absolut fresh wallet or is it ok if u "get address 0" in an existing wallet and then send the 1000 DRK within the wallet? I m a bit desperate, maybe someone could help. Thx in advance.

Uhm, you cannot make a withdrawal of your Blocknet Tokens from Bittrex? Or is it just me?

me too.

I think it has to do with the 800 BTC they will claim. If not you get refunded.
Pretty cool idea.
Bittrex's Statement for the ITO

Bittrex will be hosting the BlockNET ICO. As a reminder, we are providing escrow for the development team. We are not endorsing this coin or any others on our exchange. Please do your own research before trading. Below are the FULL and DEFINITIVE terms for this ICO; no other conditions are required.
* We will review the wallet before initially adding it.
* Bittrex will host 3,400,000.00 of 10,000,000 total coins at a price of 0.00025 the ICO will value 2500 BTC across all exchanges.
* The ICO will run for 7 days beginning October 29, 2014 at 5am PDT and ending on November 5th 23:59:59 PDT
* The ICO must raise 850 BTC total across all exchanges to be considered a success.
* If success conditions are NOT met, all BTC invested will be refunded through a buy wall.
* Once the ICO is over we will verify there is working wallet, blockchain, and block explorer.
* ICO payment will be in a lump sum to BlockNet within 7 days after the ICO ends.
* No trading of the coin will be allowed until the ICO ends and escrow is released.
* ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS - by participating in this ICO, you are agreeing to the above terms.

I have read this statement. Where exactly does it say that you cannot withdraw your coins from the exchange?

Somebody has an answer to this that actually helps? While others can already stake their Blocks, i cannot withdraw from Bittrex. Is Bittrex staking for themselve?
It is not mentioned anywhere that Trex was to keep the coin and staking as I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, that ONLY 20% of the block will be sold for 10% discount using the participant coins, and also nobody mentioned that to each participant coin will be allocated a part of the block depending on the market cap of each coin.
So this is just BS preparation for launch.
People had to dump their participant coins because they found themselves with a lot of coins not being able to buy shit from coingate.
Or they bought coins in order to get the 10% discount and then they had to sell them at lower prices. Just crap.

that s fked up, i bought these tokens and i want them in my wallet to stake. synechist?

Moonchaser, read the OP FAQ and also the ITO document (which is also in the OP). The info is all there.

Sfc, if you bought on Bittrex you'll need to wait until the end of the ITO (max. one week) before you can withdraw and stake. At 3% per year, this won't amount to much.

I'm an early supporter of XC and i totally love the blocknet idea. But this wasn t part of the deal. I bought these tokens so i should be able to withdraw them. If you or Dan could at least try to talk to Bittrex to unlock the wallet that would be fine as there is absulotely no reason they should keep them.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: October 30, 2014, 12:31:52 PM
Strange, the volume of blocknet yesterday pm 2200 on bittrex was almost 200 btc.
Now the volume dropped to 129 btc.

It should stay at 200 btc or only gaining right? Because no one can withdraw the tokens!
Or bittrex member can do that?

Can someone explain, because I bough at bittrex?

+1 for noticing it.

I'm glad I didn't buy it yesterday. How can volume drop on bittrex if no one is selling it besides the Dev team? It should increase or stay the same. It decreased by 100 BTC since yesterday Trex.

What is going on?

Please explain. Roll Eyes

It's the 24h volume, not the overall volume! Decreasing volume simply means that people bought less tokens.

I'd still rather see him focus on making private transfers work for everyone first as it's a core feature of XC before further reviewing other coin's code. But my bias is obvious being that it doesn't work for me. Dan and I are going to do some testing later this afternoon so hopefully we narrow down why it's not working the way it should.

I think he learned from keycoin and will execute it a little differently. also not all devs are as shady as keycoin and don't give credit.
Perhaps finally people will realise that its a wise idea to buy the coin of the dev everybody is running to for validation.
Arlyn should look over it since its a public statement and he really knows how to find a middle ground of objective review and still showing superiority of the own project without sounding arrogant.

I'm not talking about previous execution with keycoin, I'm talking about making our coin work 100% before peer-reviewing other coins. If there is available time to help others, great, but it shouldn't come at the expense of neglecting existing bugs with our own coin.

There should be some things that are up to the dev to decide, don t you think? Let s not become too demanding, neither concerning Dan nor the market situation.

Considering on multiple occasions of previous testing attempts with Dan he has had to delay or push back our testing period because he didn't have the time, I would say if he has the time available to test someone else's code, he should have the time to test with me to resolve an issue that affects 100% functionality of the coin he, himself, is developing.

I see your point, but i think the team has earned enough trust so that we can be more than confident that they will find the right way and balance. Sometimes it s a thin line between a justifiable demand and the screaming of a spoiled brat.

It's about time XC releases some exciting news, I'd say.  Grin

The chance to get a TOR Stick before anyone else isn't exciting?

["No," RW-Stott might reply, "the undisclosed Rev 2 privacy feature is exciting."]

;-)

Wink it could also be some real world adoption type news. What ever happened to our two guys from the XC foundation? What are they doing? We haven't heard from them since that one day they were introduced...

Yes, would be interested in this too. Are they actively working for the XC project, if yes, what are they doing, or are they supporting just by their names and their influence in ATM related stuff? I mean, not that this wouldn t be enough, but scott is right, they have never been seen again since introduction.

He guys, after some time now i decided to give this bot another chance. I m trading altcoins. So when i tried to trade XC on Cryptsy the sell went through but it keeps getting timed out when trying to buy. I m quite disappointed. I searched for this issue in this thread and saw that it wasn t really answered by stephan or krach or someone else. Can someone of you guys please adress this issue as it is impossible to use it that way. I spent 0.9 BTC on this bot and i could happily live with a few bugs or some babysitting. But I m really getting annoyed about the fact that it s still not executing simple orders like it used to be a few month ago. Please HELP!
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 27, 2014, 10:03:10 PM
Taking into consideration the low volume of trading on mintpal, do you think it would be worth maybe delaying the really big news until consumer confidence recovers in the Altcoin world? I was thinking in regards to maximising the growth of XC so its true value is reflected in the price it should reach.

For example, if REV 3 was released tomorrow along with huge PR, I'd estimate there would be a struggle to break 180k simply because of the low trading volume.

Just want to get a few thoughts on the matter.

The market will react to innovation, XC should not and does not need to conform to or chum up with short term interests.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 11, 2014, 11:33:19 AM
This coin has nice team, development and potential. All can agree on that.

The problem is elsewhere. It was picked early by greedy cheap whales who pumped and dumped it heavily. Now everything to do with price and market action is a consequence of that. Many people got burned, some still baghold, observant traders/investors are very cautious to touch this coin.

What's worse to "celebrate" rev.2 these bunch of greedy whales decided to make another pump and dump. Now I expect them to kill the price again when the hype fades and rinse and repeat in the future.

So this project is great but XCoins as an asset do not reflect it's development. It looks more like quick buck for some greedy individuals. Not shares in a serious company like many would want to believe. Sad

So what. It's clear that this game will go on until (venture) capital from the outside of cryptoworld flows in. If this happens the playground for what you now call "whales" will be much more risky and soon most of them will become small fishes. Until then we will experience these ups and downs a few more times. XC will stay a punching ball and having followed this awesome team and its unmatched achievements it's sometimes painful to watch and not making any obvious sense.

Me personally, i was convinced from the moment i saw devs profile. Also his and the teams constant and reliable workflow has built that kind of trust that i could not find with most other alts. Not only for myself but also for the dev and his team i really wish that investors from outside cryptoworld will soon take this gem to places it deserves. Don't hype it, don't build experiences with cho-cho-pictures, just be patient and thankful to witniss this exciting approach that has got what it takes to change the way we handle money.
