When we can trade on Bittrex or Poloniex

In the early stages on Bittrex or Poloniex, only those coins that are promoted in big money come out. BTCZ is a pure coin, without prema, there is not much money behind it, they will come later. Those are three questions: 1) I don't think devs are lying ... there isn't a dev per se, but the will of the whales is there. 2) There will be a swap 3) Depends what you call near future - a) less than a month? - No chance - b) Between 1-3 months - ehh .. perhaps - c) In the next year - probably If they miss 4th anniversary in 5 months, it will be a missed opportunity to remind people there was a FUNK coin in early 2014. |

I'm still hanging around on vacation (or held hostage by a well overpriced hotel like I would call it) but at least I was able to have a good look into the wallet / node code. The upgrade needs to be done in 2 steps, first one to sneak in BIP65 and BIP66 as they are still following Bitcoin's isSuperMajority rule and it wouldn't be worth the effort to change those to BIP9 as well IMO. The required hard forks can take place there as well. Second, we could simply upgrade to the latest version whatever this will be but I guess Litecoin 0.14 codebase is the way to go.
I also agree that the new specifications need to be fixed and frozen before actually getting some code out in the wild. There for feel free to discuss them and get us on thinking, coding and testing ;-)
Hi Mike. After discussing everything with our devs, we have decided not to do any hard forking. The only option for a long term project is to create an ETH token, most likely using the ERC223 token standard. Right now we are working on a killer web design, and our devs are now looking directly at the project. TSP Will there be a swap from FUNK coins into said ERC 23 token? I bought alot of funk because I thought you guys will revive it, I hope there is a swap in place. That swap has been in the works since ETH came out ... oooh two years ago now I vote to fork into current LTC Core while ETH boys do their ETH thing ... just think of the news twice ... ya know ... the whole point of crypto is open sauce .. which should mean if you can do it, you should do it .. or something like that. Is not an easy coin to buy, but sure is cheap. Something has been happening for a while, just devs need more manpower, which unless I am mistaken is going on right now. This is another story of a central authority gone wrong Powa to da Peepol .. fork it real goodFUNK will be easy to fork up to the current level of development on LTC Core. The hash power is low and community (as in coin whales) will update their wallets swiftly so we could do a 75% adoption in a day or 2 max once code is deployed. As an ex-EMC2 dev, I saw it first hand and Hashunlimited did the wallet, the syncing process went up 10 fold and so did the price. |

I talked to Nele and Alex, and they share Mike's vision. We would like to coordinate between ourselves how best to address the coding issues before there is any tampering with the code. We have some devs that helped build GameCredits, and we should hear their opinion this week.

there's prolly quite a few holders that don't like recent changes to Zeitcoin Code, dumping ... might be a short while, but i think it will turn around Hey Groggin, I thought I saw you somewhere where I hang out ... ZEIT PoS is over so there aren't new coins being made and it will just take some time to hoover up the sellers. BTC spike is taking it's toll on many alts. |

I was checking around a little after Varvarin was pointing his finger here... probably I could be of some help.
Basically the codebase is 2014 which is not a big issue to get it pulled up to date in 2 steps. But what I do see are some critical hard coded issues which could be hard forked out:
- KGW: That thing is actually creating nothing but problems. It is killing performance and opening the door for hoppers.
- re-target time: adding some more issues to the problem above. Miners can just collect coins until the next re-target, jump out and wait for the diff to go back down
Thing is, even if those 2 issues can be forked out, one major problem can't: The KGW part needs to stay and validate blocks during IBD. Due to the extensive calculations and well known C++ performance, blockchain downloads would remain incredibly slow...
There are some more minor issues which are creating additional work when it's ported to new standards, but that should be OK.
I've done one or two migrations from this codebase to latest standards (up to LTC 0.14.2), having mining infrastructure available and always willing to support if friends of my friends are in need ;-)

Hi Mike, That codebase is as old as moldy crackers now! What you are suggesting is definitely needed. If we could solve some of those serious issues, it would help the whole project incredibly. The dev said something about retiring. I can't blame him, but I hope he was joking... Guess this is the end of EMC2? EMC2 is not dead, this is not the end. Don't know which one said that but we still have devs working on EMC2 projects I said about retiring ... but that applies only to me for various reasons. Mostly as I left a fairly cushty accountancy job in London after 17 years to lead the manhunt for developers and to spread the crypto word in Serbia and wider. It was a resounding success ... for everyone else who got involved, but for me ... it's time to go back to work. I made a critical mistake of believing programmers have brains and understand what they do ... How could one be so wrong? *pro tip:* Hire engineers, not coders.... joking aside ... EMC2 is in a better position than it has been since the fateful 37BTC bet back in 2014 sank it along with original devs. However, as with every project, there are differences in thinking and this being a PvP online game (MMO?) there has to be some fighting. I can vouch for the uberness of one of Blue Lab coders, Vlada. If he wasn't in the team I would honestly have doubts. So .. Kudos Vlada! You are the star! |
