Do you want to sell or buy? I can help perhaps - I am selling BTC for SEPA at Mt. Gox rate
Edit: Oh, sorry, didn't notice you said SELL.

Yours probably would be worth a bit more, since you have the box. But the problem is I already have this one.

Apologies for the off-topic. Bitcoin was the subject of today's Derek Mooney's show on RTE Radio 1! I was tempted to give him a call, but it was quite short. Anyone listened to it? I wonder who was the Irish woman he was talking to.
EDIT: Just to confirm I am up for the meeting and I don't know Dublin too well either.

I've had a couple of replies. One from Derry, one from somewhere, and I'm in Cork. The most logical place to hold it would be Dublin - it's the de facto centre of the island's transport web.
How about the last weekend in April? We could meet in some city centre location for lunch on Sat. 27th, then chat all afternoon, and finish off with dinner and say goodbye. And then finish off for real with a pint or two.
Would we want something so formal as a meeting room, maybe with a projector, or will it be enough to occupy the corner of a public house, or maybe a hotel lounge? I'd go for the hotel lounge.
So far we have: bowen151 blazr mahkul dublinbrian fergalish
Any additions?
I guess there would be no need for a meeting room; a hotel lounge would be perfect I think. I simply would love to see who else is into Bitcoin here and what we could do together to promote it in the country. Also, 27th of April would be okay for me.

Howdy. With the recent bump in price, I'm seeing that there's gonna be a lot of people and alot of companies curious about bitcoin and wanting to try it on for size. Anyone fancy a meeting? I'd suggest aiming small and soon, maybe mid-April. There's lots to discuss:
1. Promoting bitcoin in Ireland 2. Organizing an (inter) national bitcoin conference (we'd need funding) 3. Law & taxation
and more?
I would be very interested in discussing how to legally accept coins in Ireland as a business in exchange for services (and perhaps even goods). I am available for a meeting any time really, just need to know about it a week or two beforehand. Anyone else? Any other people running business interested in accepting BTC? EDIT: Also, if anyone is looking to buy some coins for cash I am at your service.

I can buy for skrill eur. Sign up to www.skrill.com, withdrawel to Euro bank account costs like 2eur (for any amount) so its incredibly cheap. Can buy up to 10k eur From what I see on the Internet it is run by Moneybookers, thus reversible and also, in order to withdraw any money you need to provide a lot of documentation to them to proof your identity. I think I will stick to the bank transfer (or cash in person if you're in Ireland by any chance).

Want to sell GoxUSD for my GoxEUR?
Not sure how this works if you want to withdraw EUR? I would prefer a bank transfer to be honest

which bank?
If you mean Ireland then AIB or Bank of Ireland.

I will sell Bitcoins at the current MT Gox price. Cash also accepted if you live in Ireland.
Please note that as a long-time member of the Bitcoin community with flawless reputation I will require payment up front (unless we successfully traded in the past). PM me if interested.

I still own bitcoin.ie.
If I were to sell it, I would have to make sure it's going to someone who has a plan, skills and time to make some good use of it. Some may say that anything would be better than just sitting on the domain, but I had already set up a website and a forum in the past (two years ago or so) and there was no interest whatsoever, so I took it down (the only users of the forum were Russian bots).
If anyone is interested please PM me with your ideas on what to do with the domain.

OKay guys, how about a Bitcoin meeting in Ireland? Who's up for it?

Hi all,
During the last few months I have come to realise that I do not have enough time anymore to remain involved in running the BitMarket.eu website efficiently. Some of you probably noticed that some of the emails waited for at least few days (sometimes weeks) to be answered, not to mention verifying of new users (and not for the first time). I don't want to ruin all the hard work we have put into this project.
I have been co-running BitMarket for nearly two years now, free of charge and dedicating a lot of my spare time into it. Unfortunately I have no time anymore to provide an acceptable level of support and service. I got real busy with my full time job and also my wife is now expecting a child so I will even be busier. I would also like to focus on promoting Bitcoin in Ireland. Therefore I have decided to step-down and transfer the ownership of the bitmarket.eu domain, hosting, SSL certs and all other associated services onto my trusted partner M4v3r (who has always been a co-owner of BitMarket anyway and is responsible for its robust code). Thus, from this very moment M4v3r becomes the sole owner of BitMarket.eu and also becomes responsible for the maintenance, support and security of the site. I know for a fact that M4v3r will be able to dedicate far more time into development of the site from now on and some new features are coming up soon.
It has been an amazing journey for me and I am proud that we have provided a robust and trustworthy service and unlike most of our competition, never experienced a break-in. Your coins have always remained safe with us and that’s all thanks to M4v3r’s coding skills. I would like to thank all the people who decided to use the site and put their trust in us. I myself have been and will keep on using BitMarket as my main BitCoin trading platform.
Please note that I no longer have access to the BitMarket admin email or the admin panel, so please do not contact me anymore regarding any BitMarket issues.
Regards, Mahkul

Ive stopped promoting bitcoin since then, because Ive got other things going on but I hope to resume my marketing activities around the end of this year.
Same here, I just got fed up with lack of response and interest. I was nearly banned from boards.ie for mentioning bitcoin, they closed the thread and said it was a "Pyramid scheme". Similar kind of thing happened to my friend April. Would be great if we could organise some sort of a meet-up and see how many and what kind of people are really diggin' it. I live around Wexford and I am open to any suggestions, can travel to Dublin or Cork no problem. Where are you guys from?

Sure, fair point. I haven't been involved in here for the last year or so, thus I don' really know how popular (if at all) Bitcoin got in Ireland. Judging by your nick, BitcoinTraderIE, you probably have a better idea.
