321  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project idea: clone Paypal API(s) on: March 30, 2011, 11:26:00 PM
I think this is very important. How about starting a bounty for that?

322  Economy / Marketplace / Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Light, Fanta, Sprite cans for Bitcoins on: March 30, 2011, 10:52:01 PM
I have access to cheap cans of any drinks made by Coca-Cola Company (no, I don't steal them from their warehouse Wink). If anyone wants to buy some just give me a shout; if you're in Ireland that's even better. It is a limited quantity, so I wouldn't be able to do any wholesale. Smiley
323  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project idea: clone Paypal API(s) on: March 30, 2011, 10:46:21 PM
Is something like that a lot of work or pretty simple?
I'm talking about changing it to work with BTC not writing it from scratch.

To change it you would need the source code, which I believe is not open sourced? Smiley Probably writing a clone from scratch is required.
324  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Pledge for DOSBox donations (97 BTC so far) on: March 30, 2011, 10:42:22 PM
@Holy-Fire: Did you manage to send that email? Smiley
Yes, email sent, but still no response. Undecided

Still no word from them? It's strange, when I wrote them the last time they replied within a day or two. :/
325  Other / Off-topic / Re: OpenLeaks accepts Bitcoin on: March 30, 2011, 10:40:46 PM
Any news on that? I WANT to start donating!
People are waiting until the site is updated with an official bitcoin address for donations (that advice is not specific to sending Bitcoins; with any charitable donations you only want to send donations to official addresses provided by the organization).

That's what I meant by this question: it's been a month now since this been announced and still no official address on the site. :/

327  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitLotto - the Bitcoin lottery - UPDATE 1 on: March 30, 2011, 05:53:04 PM
So that's 4BTC in the pot so far? I'm gonna be rich!

I'm going to predict final May 4 pot will be 246 BTC. That would be worth winning.

Or running away with.  Cool Wink
328  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn 34BTC or 20-21BTC for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin on: March 30, 2011, 05:42:25 PM
Sent Hermel my first payout - 5 BTC for getting Wuala to accept Bitcoin. Nice job. Smiley

I think it would be a good idea for Persuaders to post the message sent to the entity that caused them to accept Bitcoin.

Very good idea

Btw, I called them the Persuaders as a tribute to the old series with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis.

I am in as well.
330  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Get paid 5 BTC for joining Dropbox on: March 30, 2011, 05:10:01 PM
If I don't end up receiving anything im just gonna simply report his dropbox account and have it suspended, i suggest everyone else does too

You sound like my secretary when some customer has been late with a payment for one day. Smiley

No offense, but this ad sounds a little bit stressful. Wink

Okay guys, I have put up the spreadsheets containing sponsors and persuaders. Smiley

http://www.editgrid.com/user/mahkul/Earn_BTC_for_promoting_Bitcoin

Let me know if you see any mistakes in it - or, even more importantly, once the status should be changed from pending to complete. Smiley

Also, please let me know your bitcoin addresses I should put in there.

1PwoVg3CxMkF7uVuAn3gcCp4SAtXwyxKuR <- my persuader address in case I get any bounty.

Corrections for your spreadsheet:
  • I wouldn't count queeky.com as an organization. it's not a shop yet either, but they will sell premium accounts soon, so I'd put it as shop.
  • the german privacy foundation is an organization that also has a shop (for their cryptostick)

Thanks, I updated the sheet.
334  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn 34BTC or 20-21BTC for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin on: March 30, 2011, 10:39:31 AM
Hooray!

Bitcoin payments are now accepted at wuala.com on a dedicated page: http://www.wuala.com/bitcoin

They'll improve the purchase process once there is some volume (i.e. they are tired of manually processing the payments Smiley ). I think they are also going to publish a bitcoin post on their blog.

Disclaimer: I work for Wuala, I hope that is no problem for the rewards. My Bitcoin address: 1PL3NcnckFgseafeRbGhUYbSGeWV7vMj1r

That's great. However, as said in the OP Bitcoin has to be mentioned as a payment method here:

Quote
Which payment options are supported?
All payments are performed using PayPal's secure online transaction system. PayPal accepts all credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). A PayPal account is not needed.

How else would people know about it other than by reading this thread? Unless I missed something?
