okok it ist selfminig smartcontract token, in base of ethereum. Mining is for original holders only. I am not tecnical enough to understand all, but what can you do with minereum? What is his purpose? Can it be cloned?
Someone can give me an answer? Everybody is talking how good ist Minereum, but nobody can explain why and answer my questions Are you serious?  its purpose is to be used as a coin like bitcoin or eth, and to use for the exclusive services that will be created, like the Automatic creation token service, smart minereum lottery, faucets, etc. the point of this coin is that there are no capitalist whales investors that mine the token perpetuating, the rate of creation is fixed. thank you for explaining... I am not sure about the automatic creation? what will it be? And the smart minereum lottery? |

I think the lack of anything from the devs is affecting the price. A team of "70" should have produced the white paper and then some by now.

Regarding the unclaimed stskes, has anyone suggested a dutch auction with proof of burn? Or equal distribution of them to all holders of nem on a specific date and time.
These are the only two fair distributions imo.
Yes, those two options have been suggested but for various reasons been rejected. An equal distribution would create tons of problems (how to handle those who've sold on the NXT AE etc.) and the stake holders already have enough NEM (NEM need to be spread). Burning the NEM is in my option still an acceptable solution but it has also been rejected. Is the NEM auction going to be like an auction. Maybe I just don't understand.
I was thinking it was going to be like an auction where if your bid made, and someone bids more, then you can outbid them until there is a winner.

What you describe is the popular Ebay style auction. This auction is more like a blind (sealed bid) auction because while you can track the bids in blockchain.info, it is not easy to know the winning bid in one glance. Hence, there is a bidding recommendation of making one bid at the highest price you are willing to pay. My choice of auction style depends mainly on logistic + security reason. However I do prefer this more quiet and deliberate style of auction. Multi unit sealed bid auction is the standard auction style for U.S Treasury - so we are in a good company here. Why not on ebay? HOW ? Ebay has a cryptocurrency section now. NEM value will be more accurately established in an eBay style auction IMHO It is mathematically proven that both style of auction gives optimal price.
