It's closer to a $250,000 premium at current rates. That's more in line I think with what the market would expect for these. Even with a $50K premium though, there are a lot of Casascius coins I'd sell for that... The only ones I wouldn't are probably the 10 BTC coins. When you're discussing fiat sales though, everything is dependent on the Bitcoin exchange rate. If BTC goes to the moon then obviously this would be a dumb sale, but if it drops a lot then the seller would look like a genius. In the end, the premium is so dependent upon Bitcoin's price, it's almost like the coin doesn't really matter at all. At least in today's market. Technically the premium is actually less than $50k. BTC price at auction end is the best comparator to market demand value. As the auction ended on 11/14 with BTC at $66k based on auction end time and not 11/19 BTC at $58k, though could argue whales know where price is going Auction house conveniently includes the bitcoin value at auction end as well: https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/1053185/2011-25-BTC-Casascius-Bitcoin-Gold-Plated-Coin-PCGS-MS-67Forks were not calculated in the valuation and on a large denomination this is give or take $20k. Assuming you don’t butcher the label when you peel, you’d probably get $5k, so with shitforks and peeled value, you’re looking at a $25k premium which is very unfortunate given how incredible an unpeeled 25 Cas is when it comes to rarity and diamond hands. Meanwhile I would love to see these coins from scarce city that are “selling” for 75% premiums go up on these auction houses LOL I’ll bet the house on the under. Until then, hopefully we can see more Cas here and legitimate websites to determine value with BTC in this price range.

Hey eod, I think 4k has the right idea and definitely a first mover advantage outside of this forum. Wanted to share some constructive feedback after reviewing the site and comments above: - NFTs and fractionalized ownership: my assumption is that the goal of this is to minimize the risk of product loss in transit during transfer of ownership and to allow participants to invest without paying the entire cost. My initial thoughts are that Casascius maintain value due to the value of being able to in fact hold a tangible good, though the NFT aspect replaces this which I am not quite sure is a good thing though NFTs even with recent mainstream auction success. In order to properly crowdsource an item, take Rally for example which has perfected the model, the pricing would need to be reflective of market value to properly sell out to individuals which leads to my next thought. - Current pricing and use of ERC20 platform: I believe we can all agree on this forum the asking prices are nowhere near the market rates over the last 2 years at any point. While the "make an offer" feature may appear to remedy this dilemma, I personally would not move my decentralized native bitcoin to a wrapped centralized version for the sole purpose of making an offer on this without knowing my offer would be taken into serious consideration. As someone who uses altcoin platforms daily and interact with contracts just to degen and mint the newest NFT, I feel like this may be an even harder sell for those who are bitcoin maxis. I noticed when I attempted to make an offer that the "spend amount" was my offer +10% which is interesting. My guess is the current price is intentionally marked high so a true market value can be found via the make an offer feature which I think may need changes to be successful such as requiring payment within x hours after a signed offer is accepted rather than requiring depositing funds ahead of time. If deposited funds are required, I would suggest allowing multiple options on expiration time similar to OpenSea's model if at all possible as 1 day on USDC could be catastrophic on some days ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) - Continue to gain interest: the pictures and authentication are flawless and I think brings added value to the service so kudos to the team. I think this does a great job of catching the attention at first glance as it did for me and more so then when I went to greatcollections.com to look at the 25BTC Cas on auction. So my feedback here is really just they have a real gem and should expand off other aspects to capitalize on this. I actually considered NFTs and Cas which is why I minted the ENS domain casascius.eth, but due to my thoughts above I chose against pursuing it. Glad to see it being put to the test nonetheless and wish the best to the entire team. If successful this time next year, they can have the domain from me for free if wanted ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Best, Rx

Just for transparency: I’ve received a handful of offers for ungraded at 1.4 which I would say is the market buy price for an eager buyer. It’s pretty cool to see the premium fiat value today is now more than the entire fiat value of a Cas from a year ago

I’ve got a graded silver I would consider parting with, but it’s not gilt. Thanks for the offer, unfortunately I have my eyes/heart only set on a gilt for now ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Assuming brass id say anywhere from $100 to low $200s depending on condition of hologram and coin based on recent auctions relative to their fiat value at time. Of course if silver or any higher denominations you’d expect significantly more. Hope it helps.
