21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080ti still a good buy in 2021? on: February 16, 2021, 01:05:14 PM
200% price is too good to be true, you better stress the gpu first with benchmarking tools because I suspect the seller is trying to sell the graphics cards because they already have issue, watch the temp and also the stability
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx580 overclocking on: February 16, 2021, 01:02:09 PM
Here is my settings on a msi rx580 with Micron memory, 1200 core clock, 2100 memory clock, 850mv ( this will drop the temp ), I suggest you use wattman instead
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Average shares per 30 min on: February 15, 2021, 12:28:30 PM
What are you mining exactly? Eth? And what pool are you using cos that matters the most, also before complaining about shares and job decreases leave your miners be for hours and check, when you start a miner it will have amazing speed at first, assuming you have 30mhs it may display over 30mh on pool and after few minutes it will decrease and after some minutes again it will become stable to the exact amount of hashrate you get, Ive watched this severally on phoenix miner and Trex miner
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can't mine with T-Rex or GMiner through VPN on: February 15, 2021, 12:25:17 PM
Then keep trying other eth pool like spark pool or poolin, why would you want to use VPN anyways? VPN is bad for mining and it will have bad effect on your earnings, watch out for latency
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help getting back into mining on: February 15, 2021, 12:19:55 PM
I don't see any proof of work potential coins coming out this days, if you come across any make sure you do good research on the project first before mining, I used to feel like becoming a whale so I ended up with many shitcoins in my wallet, I would advice you to mine popular coins instead but the choice is yours
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: February 15, 2021, 12:17:26 PM
Of cos, taking profits can be hard if you haven't lose while trying to reach a target, I can boldly say that I've never for once make any reasonable amount of money from crypto when I used to be so greedy, I always want to make the best profits so I kept holding my coins untill they all become useless, I got angry and decide to never hold coins for too long no matter how good they coins look and it changed my life for the better
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / BCH breaks it's long term resistance on: February 14, 2021, 09:46:35 AM
Patience sometimes looks hopeless, I don't blame anyone for that, I knew many already sold their BCH bag thinking it's way below it's ATH but are you watching the market lately? BCH is now 700+, you still think that 1000$ is impossible? I don't think so, many hated this project for different reasons, probably because it's BTC fork? But this project is just better than many altcoins out there, if BCH is that bad I wonder what it's doing on top 10 position anyway, I feel excited about what's coming
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash Benchmark Error on: February 14, 2021, 09:37:31 AM
Same as me!  My computer caught Nicehash Benchmark Error!   Cry
Are you running the latest nicehash mining software? You might want to check that out first, if it's old better download the latest, I'm currently running on nicehash still and no problem since the past 26 hours now
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can driver affects miner performance? on: February 14, 2021, 09:33:29 AM
Most times it's not drivers fault for getting low hashrate when mining, once a windows update crawls into your PC things will start going side ways and it's easier to start suspecting the driver instead of the windows update, but yes drivers do affects performance sometimes
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining from laptop on: February 14, 2021, 09:28:16 AM
Hi,

I need to buy a laptop anyway and i saw an article that says that due to missing HI-END Gpu for regular computers,
Miners start using laptop.

I want to buy a laprop with GTX 1660Ti , And i have few qusetions :

1. In whattomine.com it gives 28Mh/s but is there a diffrance from laptop Gpu model to regular compuer ?
2. if the laptop says "180W AC Adapter" so it is maxed at 180w per hour
3. i calculated on www.cryptocompare.com according to our electric prices localy

Does my calculation and my assumption is correct ?

180 watts power consumption for a single gtx1660ti is way too much, it's like paying 2x electricity fee for the graphic card, a single gtx1660ti max mining power shouldn't exceed 80 to 83 watts, I have six of these cards all none reach 84 watts when mining, the trick is lower power draw to 65% using msi afterburner, you don't need that massive power to mine successfully on a gtx1660ti
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you also mine any of these coins? on: February 10, 2021, 08:54:22 PM
Nope, I'm a Ethereum mining fan boy, another algorithm I tried out was Ravencoin and that doesn't take a long time before I go back into Ethereum, I think it's wise to keep mining big altcoins instead of new altcoins, some do have huge luck with new pow coins but the chances are slim
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin is best? on: February 10, 2021, 08:50:24 PM
Bad projects or coins don't hold a certain position for a long time but USDT keeps topping the rank of the best stable coin, it has the highest liquidity and trading volume as well on many top exchanges, even low exchanges lists usdt, it's way better for me than other stable coins
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in TRC20 tokens on: February 10, 2021, 08:45:19 PM
Tron isn't a good place for smart contract projects because most projects that runs on Tron are either shit coins or bad projects from bad developers, they always end up getting dumped in the end, I think Ethereum smart contract is just better
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this even normal? on: February 10, 2021, 08:41:31 PM
Guys is any of these normal?

1. Admin close down bounty group after bounty ends

2. Admin failed to update spreadsheet and gives stakes to participants and later block access to the spreadsheet

This is what base protocol team did to their promoters, all those that participate in signature campaign aren't rewarded any stakes and they can't even look at spreadsheet, bounty group is closed too so anyone can't complain and yet the team said they will make distribution in the next 42 hours
Every delays and disappointments from base protocol team is noted but in the end they still end up paying their participants, that's all that matters, teams have different ways of handling things you just have to go along with whatever the team decide for the project
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the way forward now. on: February 09, 2021, 02:24:23 PM
You gotta find a way that will favour you, if you have PayPal account then you can withdraw straight to your bank account still, here are other options

1. Binance p2p and other p2p exchanges
2. Paypal
3. Payoneer
4. Ebay ( buy stuffs on ebay and sell in your country )
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Aorus rx 580 8gb unstable, keep crashing on: February 09, 2021, 01:38:33 PM
Strange, every RX580 in the market have different type of memory on them, this is why you can't just decide to use others overclock settings unless you know the type of memory their gpu carries, I don't have problem running my rx580 msi (micron) with stock bios because it gives near 30mhs without any modding, have you try changing drivers?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Ethereum ETH with 470 4GB on: February 09, 2021, 01:31:42 PM
Lolminer got the magic stick for 4gb RX570 and RX580 I guess, some users are reporting up 20- 22 my per second using lolminer, it's working for now but I don't think it will last for a long time, find lolminer and give it a try
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum pay per round has dropped 80% ?? on: February 09, 2021, 01:29:17 PM
I have not experience anything like you guys described here, I'm using Nicehash pool and mining Ethereum with no issue at all, shares are accepted like before and payment are paid as normal, I suggest you switch to another Ethereum pool
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DogeCoin mining profitablity on: February 08, 2021, 09:15:56 AM
Mine ETH because it's the most profitable coin anyone can mine right now, both asic miners and GPUs but if Dogecoin is what you really want you should invest money on the project or buy an asic miner that can mine Dogecoin, like I've said Ethereum remains the most profitable
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin recovery? Can someone please help on: February 08, 2021, 09:02:19 AM
If you have your private key, your coins are safe.

You can redeem them for example in the CoinOMI Wallet which is available on Windows and Mobile. When you add Dogecoin, you can then swipe your private key.

There is different between a private key and recovery seed, don't mislead people, you can't import doegcoin private key into coinomi wallet because coinomi wallet only recognise recovery seeds not private keys

Is there another app that can?
I want to ask you a question, when you opened the Dogecoin wallet do you have do you have your wallet ID and password? I'm trying to figure out a way, maybe you can get your Dogecoin back or something, the only Dogecoin wallet I know will request for backup file to import your coins back,

Check https://Dogecoin.com
