I just received the letter from the developers. They say the issue with fresh start and "bytecoin" folder has been resolved.
There are updated binaries on the website.
Wow, that was really fast! real devs dont just chill on Saturdays |

Major Bytecoin update Bytecoin source code has been largely updated. 1) The block chain has been moved out of RAM, which cut down the usage from 4 GB to 850 MB. In the next releases it is expected to become as low as 350 MB. 2) The block chain file is now unified across all platforms. When you run the new binaries, the daemon will automatically convert your old block chain to the new format. Your "blockchain.bin" file will be split into 3 files: "blockindexes.dat", "blockscache.dat", "blocks.dat". Next week there will be another significant update! P.S. Good news! In two weeks we're "going to see a next significant step in Bytecoin's and CryptoNote's development".  Wow, finally there were news from the developers! How could i miss that? Well, one week is over. Im wondering what that significant step will be. |

Why the price is so low ? only 5 Satoshi - that's too little price for BCN.
Hope devs would add some features to make it cooler.

Great start guys, after having to choose between two currencies, now I can mine two of them at the same time!! I believe I would change them from time to time. I mean my approach is to mine ByteCoin + FantomCoin for a couple of months, than to change it for BitMonero+FantomCoin as I am still not sure about future of BMR  . Any opinion on its perspectives? |
