21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 mandatory update to 0.18.1 on: March 06, 2020, 02:31:30 PM
Ok, I will prove that I am not a boss and that I am not personally interested.
My suggestion to the community:
to invite an independent dev, not ChekaZ , not MooncoinCore devs.
This dev had to be experienced, responsible, trusted, and with respect to decentralisation,
with respect to Mooncoin history and looking into the future,
and not affiliated with current devs, and not affiliated with agswinner and me.

He will start his own Bitcointalk ANN thread, Telegram channel and will unite the community.
I will not participate in important questions when I see that Mooncoin development is in trusted hands, and Mooncoin will remain decentralised with volunteers.
There will be another Bitcointalk ANN thread, and I will be just a topic starter of inactive thread obviously.

Of course, I am still responsible, if coins of normal members were locked by mistake in 0.18, but it had to be proved with research. No one, except Michi, reported it before, or show me a post. After the research and comments from ChekaZ we will know the truth.

In my previous comment I had suggested that, only a new and independent dev should resolve this situation.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 mandatory update to 0.18.1 on: March 05, 2020, 05:35:43 PM
No, you ignored my several questions. For example,
is mebagger2 part of your team or not?
Did you plan to burn 62 B coins and how exactly?

Everyone knows Mebagger is part of our team. For clarity, it's not MY team, I am part of Mebagger's team, of Michi's team, of the other members' team just as they are part of my team. We in this together, nothing is done by an individual, we use real consensus to go forward.

And yes, we do/did have plans to burn the 62B, everyone is aware of that, specifically stated to Agswinner on numerous occasions.

The how was to be sorted AFTER we finished the work on the wallet as part of long ranging plans. We did discuss the way it could be done, again Agswinner was made fully aware.

Mebagger also told me in PM that you wanted to start a company behind Mooncoin and also move Mooncoin to Proof-of-Stake model. When do you plan to do it exactly?

No plans for a company.

Agswinner was notified of ALL of our plans In March 2019.  I'm surprised he didn't tell you of them?

He was also told that any plans of such nature would be put to the community, along with detailed explanation as to why we propose such plans so they can be openly discussed then voted on.  As I said, we work on consensus, not on individual instructions.

can you remember what “All of our plan “is?  and what has been done?

My wallet 0.18.1 working well Grin
It is good to remember that "barrystyle protection" is on big cryptsy addresses; the 62b are only a part of them. To understand it is necessary to know the address of Michi and where your "blocked coins" come from.

Is there a mobile wallet for Mooncoin?

I've not been able to fine one. Being limited to desktop wallets is a drawback and more and more people operate from mobile devices only. A mobile wallet would open the project up to more users.

Newbie at the bitcoin talk forum? But She’s not an impostor, I got to know her in the telegram lion arena. You told me you were here from the first page of the old MOON forum. I assume that’s Markus' or Mr Palmer’s account instead. We know that Doge is our sister/brother, born as copy and paste of Titan’s Luckycoin, our previous dev/consultant. I want to remind  that are part of MF those who hold more than 1b here. In renewing my esteem and all my trust in MF, he will be able to clarify your comments on time. As an investor, not nice to see groups or teams fighting, censoring and mocking for a bad English. In any case we go ahead, we are human, we can also go wrong, I vote for the proposal of MICHI for a release of the v 0.18.5. (my vote = 1). About the v 0.17 experienced technicians told that it was full of bugs. Here we ask for two years security, Mword and SL, exchanges, mobile wallet. They said “soon”, but does “soon” mean two years in English? I can only say,  that the “reborn” group is a “death group” .

Your concept of moon has “no investors”, is a your personal opinion, you’re talking to a banker, financial analyst. If you do a little research you will see that banks offer btc and others as an investment. Doge also has venture capital investors. You have chosen to be a non-profit entity.

I do not think it is appropriate here to discuss whether moon is a securities, liabilities or asset, currency or commodities.

All the solutions to be adopted in a constructive way for the future of MOON are appreciated, also with the advice of other independent expert devs.

I think that there's been a lot of misunderstanding all around.

If 0.13 follows the 0.18 chain after the validation restoration then I've offered to issue a patch for 0.17 to get it on the same chain as 0.13 and 0.18. Then everyone can be on the same chain again. What is not wanted to a split in the network and the community, it will only ultimately be damaging for all involved.

Thank you so much Peter
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 built in 2013 with future in mind on: February 21, 2020, 07:53:46 AM
I read the conversation in this forum and Telegram. With all estimate about all teams and devs, I ask a communication and a dialogue between them because we need one solution, one chain and unison of course. In my opinion, we can do Moon one of the most useful coins only with this way.

We are here to discuss democratically, ChecaZ has been banned and all our info censored in Telegram Channel.

Iam happy to announce the new 0.18.1.L Mooncoin codebase.

This version comes with the new feature LIKES as well as a whole new codebase based on Litecoin 0.18.1. - This version has several improvements over the old 0.13.9.

The 0.18.1.L release is a mandatory upgrade, the HardFork Block is set to 1.801.000 until then 0.13 and 0.18 wallets are compatible, afterwards only 0.18 will be accepted by the network.

Source: https://github.com/MooncoinCommunity/wallet

Default branch is set to 0.18 which is the newest version available for Moon.

Release has been drafted, all binaries are available ( Linux 32/64bit, Windows 32/64bit, MacOS )

https://github.com/MooncoinCommunity/wallet/releases/tag/0.18.1.L

Kind regard,
ChekaZ

Just a note from Altilly Exchange:  We will not be installing this wallet as an update at this time as it was created by an unknown person we know nothing about.
We have not been informed of this update by Mark and we value the mooncoin community and have always supported it from day one. Installing an unknown update that
could contain malicious coding would not be a wise choice.

We are waiting to hear an official announcement from Mark or the Mooncoin Team about this before proceeding.
I highly suggest everyone do the same.

Greetings agswinner,

The use Mooncoin_Foundation pointed me towards you.
I see mooncoin is an active community that isn't listed at many places and I would like to list you on our exchannge.
A couplet days ago we opened up a public beta on our exchange at www.altilly.com and are looking for coins with communities such as yours to add to our trading markets.
Basically the kinds of coin communities that we are looking to start with have the following qualities:
- A dev or community leader who is active in the forums, discord, etc.
- A coin that is only listed at a handful of exchanges and a community that is seeking to be listed at more exchanges
- A coin that is NOT an ICO, and has been around awhile.
If you guys are interested, then you can find me on telegram: "MrMike_O" or you can reply here.
MikeO”

I informed MIchael at Telegram Channel about new codebase but strangely he hasn't answered me yet...

About unknown person, ChecaZ is a great dev with great skill (CEO of Coinkit.de, and founder of Trezarcoin) which is involved in the Moon community to carry out our ideas for eexempla Moonword and Smart Likes.
Mooncoin comunity is waiting for these features  since 2017.
As a main investor and supporter, as well as an Altilly user, I would like to know if I should leave my funds with Altilly exchange.

Yes, Altilly will continue to support mooncoin.
However, we are waiting for an official announcement from Mark before proceeding to update our wallets.
This is for security reasons which im sure you can understand.

It looks like you are misinformed about this update and about the situation with Mooncoin development.

This is how i was informed:

I was unaware of any fork OR update. The first I heard about this was when somebody who himself said in our main exchange group:

"Iam not affiliated with Moon, Ive just updated their code according to the communtiy request.
I'll just update you guys that a HardFork is upcoming and it would be great if you could update."

From there he insisted we update and he began private messaging me asking us to do so.

Then he made a threat to post something on BTCT about our delisting policy (for whatever reason that was). At that point i blocked him from messaging me.

So put yourself in my shoes.  You tell me.  Would you take the word of somebody you dont know, who came into your public group wanting you to update a wallet
on your exchange who has no altilly account or actual affiliation with mooncoin and who then tried to threaten you with posting something negative on Bitcointalk
and was trying to push you very hard to update?

Mark is just a closed Telegram channel administrator .. he is not an official technician developer . Maybe Altilly want some fee to audit the new Wallet?

Mooncoin devs currently complete their work on new Mooncoin wallet 0.18.1.L.
When it is released, all Mooncoin users and services, including pools, exchanges, block explorers, online wallets will have to update.
Current 0.13 codebase is outdated. The 0.18 codebase is well tested on Bitcoin network and has been already implemented by Litecoin.
The new 0.18.1.L wallet will contain unique Mooncoin features, smart Likes and MoonWord.
The community has been waiting for these features (especially for Likes) since 2017.
Mebagger2 and ChekaZ will post more details in upcoming days, please stay tuned and be ready to update soon.

I’m ready  Grin

looks like moon coin on unnamed.exchange now. happy trading. new year new fun.

If that is true why would they bother listing there? That exchange has nothing on its terms and conditions to protect the end user in the event of a scam and the owners have put no information about who actually owns it.

Very sad to see this type of situation happening

we would like to see Mooncoin in many exchanges as doge, but we do not have a company behind us, we are completely decentralized, not a legal foundation, we are all volunteers, and unfortunately we do not have Elon Musk like doge to list on binance to bypass the strict compliance that only favors  centralized tokens. However some prefer centralized exchange others decentralized those who want kyc insurance and aml asset insurance, etc, is beautiful, but it has a cost and should help us with contributions. I know Binance ask 10/20 Btc to donate to charity fund.

What do you think about hotbit exchange? https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/hotbit

coinsbit is major scam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5192497.0

The super scammer from Ukraine that owns and operates various scam exchanges including whitebit, coinsbit and p2pb2b is called: Valerii Solodovnyk

Thank you Jolly for reporting. I invite everyone to indicate in which other exchanges MOON can be listed, obviously Binance is not within our reach, fees are too high.

Altmarkets.io is offering a discounted price (0.01-0.02BTC) for listing projects that suffered from Novaexchange closure.
Mooncoin community could use this opportunity.

very low liquidity and no evidence on coinmarketcap
I suggest coindeal, only the votes of the community are enough. It has a good volume (15m).
