everyone should donate something but i prefer the way that everyone can choose on its own how much he will donate. you should not forget that the 0% FEE is one of the biggest motivations to join this pool.

"donate" and "should" in one sentence is nonsense

What webserver software are you using? Do you have full control of it?

As if wizkid057 would openly transmit what software he was using.  That's a big HACK ME sign if he did.

Besides, I'm pretty sure he's written his own server software that hangs off the pool backend.
I see no problem using any of existing web/app servers. All of them can be secured properly

Alright, well, I've tweaked the stats replication code as much as possible to speed things along, but, seems that the web server just isn't nearly as fast as the core pool DB servers, so, just going to have to wait this one out I guess. Sad

Looks like its running at a little under 2x realtime, give or take, and its ~14 hours behind right now.

I'll check in on it later and see how things are going, but, as you can see the block list is slowly updating.

Can I ask LabRat or whoever is processing dividents to suspend my payouts temporarily? My PC exploded tonight and one of hard drives is inaccessible. So address 1BTC4meNquS83UCEG9TRzT2ai3rGzSprho is not under my control anymore. Will try to repair it...
I'll pass this on and see if I can make it happen.

grnbrg.

Fortunately, I was able to recover my wallet, everything is under control now! Thanks

What are the odds you've lost the private key entirely?

grnbrg.

This wallet contained several private keys and I have a backup dated April 2013. Since then, I imported 3 private keys, and I can restore only one of them (the one mentioned is lost unless I can replace electronics PCB). Luckily amount lost is no more than 2 BTC

Now i know.. But my question is.. can recover that BTC s? Smiley
Provided that
- they clearly state "We do not support generated transactions from pools like Eligius, P2Pool etc."
- they have incredible awfull support (for my several tickets I NEVER heard back anything except automated reply)
I doubt you can recover your money, sorry

Hello.. i used my BTC-E wallet to mine, almost 2 days.. i had the first payout.. (0.04x BTC), and still have 0.0159 BTC unpaided.. There is any way to recover my payout? And this 0.0159 too?

Need to contact BTC-e? Or how i could recover my almost 2 DAY work?

Thanks in advice..

You should NOT use btc-e wallet with eligius. Period.

Perhaps naming the thread [16% world's hashpower] would be more informative than 3100TH ?

Unless partnership suddenly means working for another company and getting paid personally for that work then, no. The only thing that has changed is access to cheaper hardware and getting to share a small section of the coinseed location.

You would think if I was wrong lab-rat or gnrgb would put me straight right?

If this was a partnership with coinseed then share price would have more than quadrupled.

What share price you are talking about - the one you cannot trade?

I worked out the cumulative return 0.021531357 so far if you had from IPO.

Which means that we have paid back the dollar value of the bond.

at IPO BTC0.15 * $100 = $15

payout BTC0.021531357 * $810 = 17.44039917

We got a long way to go to cover the BTC however.

Yeah, like infinity Smiley Also funny thing with LRM - its impossible to get your money back

I vote for Eligius. Zero fee, merged namecoin mining, low variance, high uptime. And you know owners/developers very well

Considering ASICs can't mine scrypt...

Not anymore...
See Gridchip thread, Asic chip hashing at 70kh/s

Tongue

Fine.  Bitcoin ASICs can't mine scrypt.  Smiley

grnbrg.
Actually, bitcoin ASICs aren't supposed to mine scrypt. But you can't prove scrypt and existing double-sha chips have no weaknesses that can be exploited

Is it too complicated to add some more shitforks for merged mining?

I am mining at eligius with BFL 60GH/s miner. Usually (several months, actually) it averages to 60.7 GH/s, but starting last week it shows 59.9 GH/s
Anyone noticed something similar? If it was hardware issue like one core dead, I believe hashrate would decrease significantly more

Did you cycle the power before this happened? In a BFL 65 nm device, you'd  like see a drop of more than ,1 GH/s if you had a blown core. I've noticed that the hashrate can differ by 1-1.5 GH/s after powering it off and on. After several hours, it often climbs back up to the usual rate, but sometimes sticks at the lower rate for several days. I then try cycling the power again if it annoys me, but this can leave me with the lower rate that annoyed me. About the only thing you can try is 1) wait a while, or 2) cycle the power. If it were to drop to a steady 54% you could contact them for an RMA, but for a less than 1 GH/s drop, they would likely say the same thing I am. Coincidently, I got this same suggestion from their tech support several months back due to a similar issue with my 50 GH/s unit. Good luck.
Thank you, will try today. All I need is open window and temperature will be -20C in minutes

Edit: worked like a charm, 1GH/s out of thin air!

http://thegenesisblock.com/mining/ to help figure out costs and return... my question is are the statistics on that site calculated based entirely on the assumption of solo mining?

It does not matter for cumulative return, but in practice - forget about solo mining. No one should mine solo unless you are in control of at least 1% world's hash power. Otherwise it is quite possible you mine your first solo block when block reward will be 12.5 BTC or even 6.25 BTC, or simply put - never

yeah I'd never mine solo, I just had no idea if the numbers quoted on http://thegenesisblock.com/mining were based on solo mining or not(and whether or not it even matters).

basically, all I can seem to buy right now that will deliver in feb is maybe 100-200gh/s miners.... and the thing is, from what I have read, If I pre-order some 2th/s device from cointerra or where ever, I will pretty much have to wait till MAY or later, and everybody says by then the difficulty will be so high that 2th/s will be the equivalent of 200gh/s today.... is that correct?

example product: http://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv-2ths-networked-asic-miner-may-batch/ <-- by may that thing will be crap and will never recover the cost is what I've read in other forum posts... people were saying if you want to get into bitcoin mining that you should just buy off the shelf stuff from ebay or whatever reseller has on hand and just giv'er shit with it.

I'm starting to think the only way I can break into this mining business is if I buy a slow 100-200gh/s miner now and at the exact same time pre-order a 2th/s miner from cointerra for 6000... does anybody have a better suggestion, or know of where a person can even get a reasonably priced beginner miner for somebody not really wanting to drop more than $5000
Just assume the numbers on thegenesisblock are based on the pool mining (notice field "Pool fee, %"). Change it to 0% and you will get what you want

My BTC address is 1Aynx4ZsKoGptWb2Z2aweCDJWduiGUj9DS
My NMC address is 1FGe2AqfRnj3c4JYjWL4etoVBtrXWFib4K

NMC address cannot start with "1", I believe. You should get it from your NMC client
