23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have BALLS for a ROLLERCOASTER!? | HARD FORK - UPDATE!! on: December 01, 2014, 12:37:41 AM

Last 24 hours BALLS has traded 5.0-6.0% of the float versus 0.5% for HYP...
So at the tail end of the "rollercoaster" it has 10 times the liquidity of HYP...
And until recently HYP was the only liquid High Stake coin.

There's a lesson here:

By introducing occasional, short "rollercoaster" periods...
All the low volume high stake coins like HBN, CAP, TEK, PHS, TRK, etc...
Could significantly increase their liquidity... and get more exchange listings...
As opposed to US Govt partner Cryptsy having investors by the balls.

10 times the liquidity at this point in time, come back in 3 months and I'm sure it will be a whole nother story lol

Any working multipools for this coin and would it be worth chucking some sha towards ?

pool.mmxivcoin.com

Yes, it's definitely worth it, especially with prices so low you will get more

prices so low? O.o

what exactly do you think will happen to the price when all the free stakes hit the market?

price is pretty high right now actually lol

Everyone should check out this awesome summary page of ##hyperstake stats that Drew is hosting for us Cheesy
http://www.drew-group.com/hyperstake.html

loving the new stats page, the irc channel is becoming more and more popular over time.. contrary to what happens in most other channels.

diff hit over 6 at one point today, that's a pretty damn secure network lol

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HYP] Let's take a closer look at HyperStake HYPER SCAM on: November 29, 2014, 03:11:08 AM
what you said is on previous pages.. i suggest you re-read what you typed out Wink

And yes i postulated you were Shakezulu and i had good reason i outlined.

since simple reasoning doesn't seem to work with fucktards how about some maths?

top 10 wallets as a percentage of overall coins...

M - (Maieutcoin) top 10 wallets own 56.98% of the total coin supply
XQN (Quotient) - top 10 wallets own  48.11% of the total coin supply
CAP (Bottlecaps) - top 10 wallets own 38.0% of the total coin supply
BALLS (Snowballs) - top 10 wallets own 37.7% of the total coin supply
HBN (Hobonickels) - top 10 wallets own 30.44% of the total coin supply
JPC (Spoetniks oh so great jackpotcoin) top 10 wallets own 28.30% of the total coin supply
HYP (Hyperstake) - top 10 wallets own 22.0% of the total coin supply

I would have done more but TEK don't seem to have a working explorer/richlist and neither does your other favourite maxcoin lol.

so much for your HYPothesis on it being a ponzi pfft.

looks like its got a better distribution model than most, and the top wallets haven't dumped any large amount of coins which can be checked with the block explorer.

It is most likely that we never will hit a full 960k in one day, because everyone will size down there coin blocks so that they won't hit the 1k limit....

What does this mean?
Should I resize my blocks BEFORE they hit 1000?

there is a maximum stake reward of 1000HYP per block, therefore the higher difficulty goes the longer your block takes to stake, and the more age your block grows the more chance you have of hitting the reward cap.

so in answer to your question, block sizes of around 2-3k HYP each are good right now, any more and you will hit the cap more often than not and any less and you risk losing compounding. Do not resize blocks if you see them getting towards the max reward as it will reset the age of them and you will have to wait another 8.8 days for it to be eligible to begin competing to stake.

Nice work on that graph presstab, should help some of the naysayers see the concept behind the long term inflation control
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: November 17, 2014, 01:56:36 PM
Received my first stake. Only 0.20?  Huh

From here on...how long does it take to receive my next stake then next and so on....?

your stake time is dependant on the weight of your block trying to stake vs overall network weight + a little amount of randomness otherwise the person with the biggest block would always stake first.

stake percentage is 1% annual so divide it by 365 for daily interest and * by the blocks age for an approximate estimation of what you will receive. this may be troublesome as the coin control on the wallet is very limited, in the grand scheme of things though the 1% nominal per year is to keep the chain moving with no POW, so it is an inconsequential return as the coin is not meant for big POS rewards.

each block will stake a different amount, because when you get a stake it splits into 2 after adding the reward amount. so a block of 5000 bay with for arguments sake a reward of 100 giving total of 5100 will split into two blocks of 2550 coins and the age of those blocks will begin at 0 again, once they mature after 8 hours they will each attempt to stake again independently and so on and so forth.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopump.com will be having our 10th pump today! NO Prebuy. NO Bullshit. on: November 16, 2014, 03:58:08 PM
lol these guys are a bunch of jokers, do not invest a dime in joining this foolishness.

I witnessed first hand the so called pump on judge coin, it lasted the best part of 30 seconds and the charts quite clearly show there were pre bought coins prior to this.

All that happened is they dumped on noobs, leaving them out up to 2btc. As soon as the complaints rolled in on the public irc, everyone was muted by the OP.

I've messaged them several times but never got a reply, I've also got 0.5 BTC ready for addition to C-Cex but also never got a reply..

Its hard in these days ...

yeah that kinda sucks. maybe you can also use https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

and give polo a try. Probably the best exchange in my opinion.

Tipbot will be ready soon, Nethash is steady and we are looking for a Online Poker Game that can be run with WinterCoin.

If you can run such a thing or know who can set it up for us - send him to us !

Only about 80 Blocks are left until POS kicks in !

I can PM you with someone who can do irc texas holdem to run with it if you want?

While IRC is cool for the "Pro's" we'd like to have the Poker Game run online at a webpage rather than IRC.
We saw some slot machine games for other coins etc. we want that but for Poker, especially around Christmas Time many familys play Poker all around the world as they come together and we feel this would be a good niche for WinterCoin :-)

@jasabbm:
We are already listed at EmpoEX, have a look at the OP Smiley

Many thanks to hardroad for some nice, fresh pictures for a revamp of the OP ! It will be updated shortly !

cool, looking fowards to kicking ass at poker if it gets up and running. Time to push for bigger exchanges Smiley

Why does Biomech say "member is currently being ignored"??

you must have inadvertently clicked the ignore link in blue below his picture. Click 'un-ignore' and you will be able to see his posts again

is nethashrate correct 18Gh/s??

supernova is only at 8, where is the rest of the hash coming from O.o

That is always happening with X11 lately..  Must be a Bug in the wallet or a hidden/private pool specialized on X11

almost like its getting instamined on a 'private' pool?
