So, I've seen some reports from people that they didn't get anything distributed to their address.

It would be very helpful if people could see past distributions for their address. i.e. # successes v.s. what was the distribution.

And that could help debug and track down if some transfers were lost in the process.

Hopefully that's not too much to ask. It would really help with transparency.

The faucet is currently working like a black box, and to my knowledge there are no APIs to access that data.

Displaying that data is the next thing we're working on, the only constraint is time but it should be pretty easy since we're already tracking it.

If anyone has the ability to help lift some of the tasks we're working on it would obviously help the system, help value, and get everything moving faster.

RAI can be divided after decimal point?

what if RAI value is raised exponentially?  we can't send 0.0001 Rai?

Decimal points in finance is never a good idea.

We use a 128 bit integer to represent account balances, this is too large to present to the user so we defined a set of SI prefixes to make the numbers more accessible and avoid confusion. The reference wallet uses Mrai as a divider.
Grai = 1000000000000000000000000000000000, 10^33
Mrai = 1000000000000000000000000000000, 10^30
krai = 1000000000000000000000000000, 10^27
rai = 1000000000000000000000000, 10^24
mrai = 1000000000000000000000, 10^21
urai = 1000000000000000000, 10^18

Hello I am new to this, how does this work ? Only i have to post my wallet address and click recaptcha?

That is all you have to do.

payouts should be every hour to 6 hours

so whats the ratio ? 1:1 ? If i click once i will get one coin ? and another issue is my wallet is saying status : synchronizing from past 4 hours . NO idea about blocks or anything

The payout is fixed at 21,000 per hour which is divided by percentage based on everyone participating.

4 hours seems too long, what hardware is this running on?  Is it version 7.3.4?  Can you look at the log file? https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Log-files

Do you have an estimated time when we could start claiming again thank you

I really have no idea what you are talking about ,
anyways can anybody tell me what happens after wallet successfully syncs ? now the status on my wallet is "wallet password empty" . This means it has synced ?

Yes it's synced.  You want to back up your wallet seed in case of data loss.  https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Wallet-Backups

Then you can participate in the distribution.  https://raiblocks.net/#/distribution

I suggest not killing yourself on the faucet since there are a lot of early adopters, it'll be running a long time.

alright man thanks a lot for your help . Appreciate it . So right now only locally we can sell these coins ? No exchange currently ? What do you think 1 coin is worth ?

It isn't being used to solve a real problem yet so any "value" is purely speculative.

We're suggesting an initial market of using it to pay sites to clear the ads from their page.  https://raiblocks.net/#/demos  This is an alternative to ad blocking we think would benefit sites and really makes the speed of RaiBlocks stand out.

I posted the output from the first distribution. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/raiblocks/FgCtvcPQQXY

From the time the faucet opened to the time everyone saw their click count drop was the first quick distribution interval we did to make sure things were working end-to-end.  We fixed a couple issues that slowed the payout down and finally sent to everyone in proportion.

We're going to add some information about how many clicks were in the previous distribution which will help with the count during rollovers.

We'll be working on getting everything automated and 21,000/hr will get us close to the distribution schedule outlined by the time the year rolls over.

I can't understand this amount
"amount": "1379000000000000000000000000000000"
 Huh

BUt I did get 1379 mrai

https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Distribution-and-Mining -> Divider

Rather than using decimals, which is a really, really, really, really really, bad idea, RaiBlocks uses a large integer.

I'm trying to send some coins from the wallet. Once I click 'Send' button after entering destination address and amount, the Send button is disabled. It seems the send has not happened. I still see the balance in my wallet. What's the issue?

It disables the send button while its generating the transaction, this is so you don't send twice in case you thought it didn't go through. Sending involves creating a small proof of work and if your hardware is really slow it could take a little longer.  Usually this is precached so it's instant but if you shut down the wallet before it finished it has to go again.

You can look at the log C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\RaiBlocks\logs

If his wallet says sent he should be able to tell you the account number and head block from Advanced -> Ledger.

I'm working on exposing these things in the GUI but you can query blocks from the command line, for instance querying your 3kitkou account gives:

curl -d "{ \"action\" : \"frontiers\", \"account\": \"xrb_3kitkou1w7tgwb7hj4x9zu5k16nfzf9t46szij4ojdnysoob71x1c3cbsph8\", \"count\": \"1\" }" 127.0.0.1:7076
{
    "frontiers": {
        "xrb_3kitkou1w7tgwb7hj4x9zu5k16nfzf9t46szij4ojdnysoob71x1c3cbsph8": "F57149534401D9A219C9BD2036DE89F3E3B028C33E79A2B251997DAB8859E647"
    }
}

curl -d "{ \"action\" : \"history\", \"hash\": \"F57149534401D9A219C9BD2036DE89F3E3B028C33E79A2B251997DAB8859E647\", \"count\": \"10\" }" 127.0.0.1:7076
{
    "history": {
        "F57149534401D9A219C9BD2036DE89F3E3B028C33E79A2B251997DAB8859E647": {
            "type": "receive",
            "account": "xrb_1yjanoms98jq3hh58fsgder5pzw98hsyagmh1yeqrnn67fduqkch8xdenjra",
            "amount": "50000000000000000000000000000000"
        },
        "3835A7B38EB7B368CD6D6326E362DF09679983D6BDAA70C5742A1C4E5A0BCE71": {
            "type": "receive",
            "account": "xrb_3ewiuc1y6hsmm46ni85gwh3n1tfxp5np99xx3854psi8776jr8djkar7ipep",
            "amount": "1000000000000000000000000000000"
        }
    }
}

Which says your account has 51mrai which matches what the ledger says.

There are tons of modders that put free contents on Steam workshop, if them could just earn a few cent (in RaiBlocks) for each content, should be great for them. Because micro tx are impossibile with FIAT and Bitcoin too.

This idea has several good aspects, it's a new market rather than just a me-too replacement for other systems and it deals in small units which tradition payment processors can't hit.

It would be nice if the transaction needed to complete fast which would make it stand out strongly compared to Bitcoin.

It's a good idea and bringing up and implementing ideas like this is probably the most beneficial thing people can do if they like RaiBlocks.

will be better to have real exchange
i'm sure bittrex and polo are technically able to add this non-standard coin

If you're have contacts in either let me know, right now our best lead is in Bittrex though no one's committed to adding us.

It's always difficult to vault the unknown-coin hurdle but if you know anything we don't let us know.

People have been talking about the 0.1 btc yobit exchange add in 2 business days. Now i don't know if because its a different coin code it will take more effort and cause them to demand more money for the same add for a simple cloned bitcoin or other popular core coded coin.

But if you contact yobit and inquire about the costs for a unique harder to add clone of bitcoin coin and the price is the same, i would be willing to pay the 0.1 to add the coin, I don't agree with the exchange in some regards but others like to trade there, and it isn't a super horrible site and requests have been coming in for an exchange so i don't mind paying the 0.1 btc .

If you get them to confirm and are willing to add it for 0.1 in the 2 days specified on this page : https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/ . send me a btc address in pm and i will send the 0.1 to you

I'll try to contact them again, I sent a request a while ago though I didn't receive a response.

I received responses from c-cex and bittrex though both were hesitant to add us because of the relative newness.

In the mean time I think Jibble deserves a lot of thanks for running this thread.  Ad-hoc trading like this is hard and would have been almost impossible if he hadn't made it happen.

Were getting pretty close. We have to do things with the new faucet we didn't have to do with the old one. Store click data, generate distribution percentages and store the hash value for the send as a receipt.

Is there any web site owner that can implement payment with RaiBlocks to avoid adv or just to view some particular contents?

We're working on a web module to help people do this, after we get the new faucet online we'll get back to finishing that project for people.

Hey everyone, it's 11am my time and with features like click count tracking and testing to make sure your clicks aren't lost its looking like the completion time will be next week.

The amount of demand is really exciting and we appreciate everyone who's looking forward to using RaiBlocks; we want to get the distribution right.

The distribution will be going for a while so no one is going to miss out unless you're on vacation for months.  Opening day will likely have a likely have a lot of people and with a payout that scales with load you'll probably be getting less per click than on the subsequent days.

Let me know if there are other questions I can answer.

Just to give some information on the timer.  The timer works moderately well, there are some more elaborate ways to get around it so the longer the timer is, the more successful someone would be at attacking it.  The only true timer is the time it takes to solve the captcha so it's good to consider that.

So there's no timer between each click? (besides the fact that we need a few seconds to do the captcha?)

I'm not sure, we'll do whatever is least annoying/exploitable.

So dev, it will be up by tomorrow right?

It should be, remember we're just a couple people, we don't make money on this and we have real jobs.

We're going to be distributing for a while so there's no advantage to getting it tomorrow or a week from now.  I wouldn't skip sleep waiting.

And the distribution will be the same? (200 Mrais each 5 minutes)?

No, we're going to count clicks, divide up the distribution, and pay out once per day.
What is maxium distribution per day?
Is there going to be live stats?

The amount per day will follow the distribution schedule https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Distribution-and-Mining

For now that comes out to ~475,000 Mrai per day.
How many claims were there on the last days it was still up? Over 2500 I assume? Great way to do it though.

Originally the idea came from someone in telegram chat, I don't know his name here or id give him credit.
