Assuming the announcement on Monday is about open source it will be a great day for Cloak, I don't think bitcoin will be crashing any time
soon but with code revealing I'm sure cloak will be hitting new highs within the year
True I haven't seen anyone on the main team say definitively that that is the release that they are talking about but it seems so. I wish Cashmen or raizor would confirm what they meant by big release on monday. |

Bitcoin is still rocking and cloak is about to rocket to glory. Great time to be alive. GLTA.
10$.....20$  God I can't wait for monday! Tell your friends to invest now, they will love you in a week. My greatest hope is that bitcoin crashes to the mean and cloak keeps rising but stays the same price in $'s. Then over the next couple months/year we see some real gains. Beating Monero or Dash is not the goal, even at 1/3 or 1/4 and we are at an amazing price. And we haven't even seen what kind of development boost this community will get with OS. What a time to be a Cloak holder. |

Competition on privacy centred cryptos: top marketcap and so on is it what we are aiming for? I don't view it as competition, I see it as collaborative effort. I see some comments about challeging monero and maybe some innuendo or wish to take their place. Sure monero set the standarts but I dont really think its about challenging monero or another true privacy centred crypto (dash not included of course) as taking their place or something like that. If we think about it, we have the same goal, that is to provide a means to transact in privacy and promote decentralization, different technologies, same objectives. The more diverse solutions there are for the same problem the better for everyone involved. If there is only one privacy solution how dificult would it be to compromise it? there goes your marketcap down the drain...tbh i wish monero does well on their efforts along zerocoin or any other serious project outhere. As for Cloak we will set our standarts and will do good also...very good  Very well said, and quite true. I think any pointed marketing should be to showcase the technology and what to use the coin for, not how to replace other projects. There is always room for more than one. Sometimes, it's better to be near the top than to be the top. I see your point. My question wasn't aiming at replacing other currencies. I meant the aspect of being able to perform similarly successful. I guess the increasing interest in cryptos leaves more than enough space for several coins to coexist. Certainly does and, that space will get bigger before it contracts. We are in the right place, at the right time, with the right product. All we have to do is finalize the changes and do some marketing and this project will be golden! Just to put this into perspective. Monero's market cap is 150+ times Cloak's. If you look back in this thread, not too long ago, people were called nuts or overly optimistic if they were calling for a 5 or 10 times increase. If the devs really have what they say they have, and we only see 1/4 of what Monero has achieved, we will be well beyond what people not to long ago would have called beyond crazy. |

I tell you what I think I can do to help cloak and many others in this thread can do for very cheap as well. For the foreseeable future I will be sending all minting rewards to the development fund. Also I will be sending them via enigma so that even the people new to cloak and can see and be rewarded in running the node. First I think this will help in a small way for development until a better solution is implemented. But second and more importantly, all the new people with their wallets open looking for rewards this will encourage them to stay on. People need to see enigma in action and its rewards. I ask everyone in this thread with some staking rewards to send them from now on to the donation address through enigma. Go Cloak

Its market reaction to the new Cloak wallet  It looks like the failure of the PR team... the price is down the past couple days thats fine just buy yourself a few think long term here not short term. Its not good idea thing long term with shitcoins, technology goes on and there will be constantly coming new coins with better and better tech.. that means these outdated coins dies Take look to few years back, coinmarketcap snapshots are pretty good way,, and tell me, how many of top coins e.g from 2014 are increased value and how many is worthless crap now.  From top 30, 3 years ago, only bitcoins, ripples and dashs worth is increases, and many is basicly dead now I mean really what has changed in the last month??? Oh the devs released a small update to fix some bugs, funding for future development has been decent and volume has slowed a little. Some people just want to sell because they don't like waiting. It's fine. All you need to do is make and enigma transaction, check it out and then look at all the coins ahead of this one in coinmarketcap then compare our coin supply. This is a sound investment, as far a crypto goes, as soon as this goes open source many more people will notice. All of that is not what I'm even most excited about. If cloak removes or lowers the reward for staking and makes enigma the way to earn more cloak than I would bet our node count skyrockets. This is the tech that a lot of people are missing. There are many privacy solutions but with cloak you can get what you get no where else. Privacy and... ROI! ROI! That's what is in demand. With cloak, POS and Enigma you have the the best of all worlds. If you don't see it then I'm sorry, if you don't believe then wait for open source but you'll pay a premium. This is an actively managed coin, with advanced privacy features, soon to be open sourced that will incentivise people to buy, hold, and secure and anonymize the network through Enigma. It will be the answer to all those noob questions you always see on all the forums you browse..." How can I mine for a profit???" Soon the only answer will be CLOAK. Buy a ras. PI (can't wait r3r) and buy some cloak, load the software and boom, you're a full node, collecting payments for signing enigma payments. If your worried about price right now then I don't know what to tell you, even a rocket sits on the launch pad for quite a while. But if you think about tech then just extrapolate... look at the coins above this one in market cap and ask why. If those coins are worth so much yet cloak isn't why is that??? We're currently working on the v2.0.1.2 wallet release (QT and Daemon), which will be ready in a few days.
We're also in the process of preparing a Raspberry Pi build of the Cloak wallet, which will play an important part in our future plans as the Cloak project moves forward.
In addition to the software updates, we're also putting the finishing touches to our roadmap, which will lay out the exciting steps ahead for the project over the coming months.
The roadmap will be released in a few days (once our artists have worked their presentation magic).
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new names and faces that have joined the Cloak family. A warm welcome to one and all! 
Team Cloak has also been considerably bolstered of late, with several new members who have already made some great contributions in terms of artwork,
economic principles and network governance plans. We'll explain all this in more detail in the forthcoming roadmap.

As many of you are aware, the current Team Cloak is comprised of previous members of the wider Cloak community. Over the previous few years, we've remained entirely self-funded while carrying out the work to make good on the promises of the previous team. We feel we're in a very good position now and are making significant plans for the road ahead. Joe (r3r), our lead developer has been doing the recent Cloak work around his regular development work, but we all feel it's now time for Joe to work full-time on the Cloak project so that he can give his full focus and really help take Cloak to the next level. Our first priority as we move forward is to open source the Cloak project! We feel this is critical for Cloak's future as it gives scope for greater peer review, public code contributions and will also allow the community to follow Cloak's development much more closely. There have of course been some concerns expressed in terms of Cloak 'clones' being created, but we are not particularly concerned by this prospect as immitation is afterall the highest form of flattery. In all seriousness, we have a very strong and talented team behind the project and our exciting plans for the future should work out well for everyone involved in Cloak.
The next major Cloak wallet release will be v2.1.0.0. This version will coincide with Cloak's open sourcing. We are aiming to have this release ready within the next 3 months. There are quite a few things to address for the open sourcing of the project. We'll be conducting an internal security review of the code to ensure there are no exposed attack surfaces for denial-of-service attacks which could disrupt the network. CloakShield and Enigma have both been extended recently and functionality has changed somewhat since the audit conducted by Iain Craig in 2015. We also have some code-cleanup/refactoring to do in preparation for the source release as well as preparation of accompanying documentation which will also need to be ready at the same time. We are very open to the prospect of a new audit style review of Enigma and CloakShield during this time period and if anyone has connections to experienced and trusted cryptocurrency developers who would like to be involved, please get in touch. We have been taking steps internally to arrange something of this nature, but suggestions from the community are as always gratefully received. We are confident that Enigma keeps all funds 100% secure, but appreciate that additional peer review is always desirable.
A Cloak portal site is being created to compliment the roadmap. The portal site will be used to track progress and funding as well as detailing new features or enhancements. In the meantime, Joe has set up a Bitcoin address for those wishing to contribute towards development so that he can focus on Cloak full-time. Team Cloak will of course be helping to contribute to costs wherever we can. Our aim is to raise at least 10 BTC to cover Joe's work for the next 6 months while we work against the items of the roadmap and open source the project. Bitcoin donations are preferred where possible.

Thank you! Before they released enigma we were lucky to have high single digit volumes. There were times where we almost got delisted in 2016. I've never seen these volumes for cloak, or for as long since nearly the beginning. .003 with 30BTC volume for over a week! We had a little while where there was over $100k in volume. I'm just sitting back and relaxing thinking about my retirement. |

We were up here with these other 3 coins on the bittrex homepage, they removed us lol  Lol cloak was for years there. What a poor reaction of bittrex shame you! Love is with you bittrex you don't need to fear cloak. I don't think they removed us, it's just that DASH has had the top volume and is trading with CLOAK back and forth for biggest gain. When we gain we are in the 4 top but a little move down makes DASH the biggest gain so we fall off. Still CLOAK has been the top gainer for days now, people must be noticing. idk today morning all was there Yeah but if you look at what the %gain for DASH was in this pic compared to yours, it's higher that CLOAK. |

Unlocked my wallet for minting and enigma transactions and ran into a problem. When I went into coin control and selected all my inputs to consolidate all my coins into one address the amount is nearly 50% more than what I actually have. Not sure what to do.

I was just thinking about cloak today and came to a stunning realization. If the cloak team really follows through with their plan to make POS obsolete and make Enigma participation more profitable, which they have shown they will most certainly do. Then this coin becomes the only coin that is profitable to "mine" personally. Think about how cheap a computer you would need to run a QT wallet and participate in Enigma with a few cloaks in it. This also has a recursive effect. The more profitable the coin become the more people will participate in Enigma which makes the network more secure and more anonymous, the more people make the network secure and anonymous the more cloaks they earn, which draws in more people. Once people start realizing this adoption of this coin becomes self generating and we can become one of, if not the most adopted, secure and profitable cryptos on the market. How many people have an old computer laying around and a couple bucks they can spend on paypal or the markets to buy cloak... millions, if not more. Super excited for cloak!

If u need price increase then spread the cloak word to all members in where you active in another forums... try to contact the other exchanges if they hearing the cloak coin name multiple times then they will look cloak coin... hardwork is must First off, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Just mute Cuteflower. They have never added one thing to the convo and any discussion of their additions is just more wasted space. Second, the price is down because BTC is up and people, rightly in my opinion, want to realize gains by holding BTC as it breaks through the ATH and with the ETF, I'm holding my cloaks but some are not as confident as I am and I don't blame them. Third, we all know the main thing holding this coin back right now is the lack of being on a major exchange like polo. Marketing will help but until people see major amounts of BTC being spent on cloak and our name near the top of the leader board we will not be noticed or cared about. From what we can tell open sourcing will help with this. That is the next step as outlined in the last update. The price is a little low right now but on extremely low volume, a couple BTC and its back to normal, a couple more and its double. If we are added to polo, a handful of BTC is nothing. The team has worked hard and delivered and stated, what I believe, is a good roadmap forward. If your like me your just throwing a couple bucks toward buys every once in a while, there is absolutely 0 reason to believe this coin is not going to go up. Thanks Alice_Bob and Cashmen. This has been a long time coming and the results look great so far. New people should read through and see how much work the developers have put into everything to this point. Have always been honest and open. What a great coin for even new investors to get into. Even if you have only have a few cloaks and the price is steady, you can make more cloaks buy just minting or setting up enigma. So what's the road map look like going forward?

I only have few buy i'm holding my balls this time. if it goes beyond $0.50 it really is the start of its moon. Somehow it feel like Monero as well. I have them when its vale was just $0.50 and it stays there for months. If we talk about exchanges then interesting for CLOAK is Polo I think we will need to be open source before they will let that happen. |
