CloakCoin is great for any exchanges, and they know that. So exchanges are welcome. They need Cloak. Not the opposite IMO.  They will come alone. ;()

If the problem to get into poloniex is that CLOAK is closed code ...
Could you create a fully compatible open source without ENIGMA version?
Exchanges do not need to use ENIGMA at all.
I suppose it is easy and possible to have two versions of CLOAK.
1: Open code without ENIGMA (for exchanges).
2: Code closed (for now) with ENIGMA (for everyone who wants)

That's a good idea. But the source on the above mentioned GutHub is open source from an older wallet version without Enigma. We did not have any hardforks. Therefore any older wallet versions can be used!

Hi oaks05,

From what I've read, XMR's issues are related to an issue with their block-size adjustment code, which they plan to address in their mid-April hardfork. They have some very competent developers, so I'm sure it will be resolved. Cloak is nowhere near capacity and even with a significant increase in traffic, I don't foresee any issues on the horizon of this nature for Cloak.

The Cloak blockchain (in its current format) could also support something along the lines of the Lightning Network or one of the other proposed scaling solutions down the line. I expect blockchain size to become a more generalised problem for cryptocurrencies in general in the future and I think the storage space issues to be a more pressing problem than transaction slowness, at least in to medium term. I think we'll see a lot of discussions on blockchain 'pruning' in the future. I have no doubt we'll need to make some form of technical adjustments to address these issues further down the line, but there are no concerns relating to this for the foreseeable future.

One of our future plans is to make Enigma sends enabled by default and free/cheaper to use. As Enigma sends are a little more involved (in a network sense) than regular transactions, we'll likely need to make some optimisations in preparation for that long before we start to worry about block capacity.
