21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: July 07, 2016, 02:16:18 AM
I purchased some Lumens (STR) on Poloniex. I can't see how to transfer them from Poloniex to my Lumens account at stellar.org. Anyone know how to do this? Thx.

I got this resolved. The nice people at the galactictalk forum showed me how to do it. Nice forum. The Poloniex funds withdrawal UI/UX needs some work; not very intuitive.

Cool! I just subscribed to the forum and posted a question. I'm now researching the wallets. Thanks!  Smiley

AFAIK, Polo still hasn't gotten to issuing Lumens even though it was mentioned on Stellar's website.

Gonna be quite a wait now.

One of the Poloniex Trollbox mods yesterday said they'll soon post info re issuing Lumens. FWIW.

I discovered the Centaurus Stellar wallet at Google Play. Are there any other wallets for Lumens aka Stellars? I'm using Android and Windows 10. Thx,

Newbie here... I used one of my btc addresses to claim some lumens. This address has about half my total btc. I have the other half on another address in my Electrum btc wallet. Can I claim some lumens using this other address? I'm guessing they allow only one lumens claim per user, but I want to check. Thanks,

Hello tinybike,

Thanks! Now I'm fully oriented and understand the big picture. Best of luck on the project and I look forward to future updates. I am subscribed to the Augur newsletter. And I'm subscribed to this forum.

Thanks again,

Also, I think I remember seeing that the REP sold in Aug 2015 is a "test" version of REP that will get converted to "real" REP at some point. This true? Any details most appreciated. Thanks.

Hello tinybike,

I'm a cryptocurrency newbie. Thanks for the info. I purchased some REP on 18 Aug 2015. From what I can gather, when its ready, you'll activate the next phase of the Augur system. And then REP will once again be traded on the exchanges. Is my understanding correct?

A few months ago when I saw the price collapse of REP on the price charts (bravenewcoin.com and others) I had no idea what was going on. And was naturally worried.

Other than reddit, is Augur REP active on some exchange such that it has a market value that is listed on some price chart? I searched and haven't found any.

Will you email out Augur newsletters to keep subscribers updated? What is the best way to receive updates on Augur progress?

For the REP I purchased in Aug 2015, do I need to do anything with it? Or just let it sit until the next phase of Augur is launched?

Thanks again for keeping us updated.

Kind Regards,

Hi All,

I think I messed the memo: On May 24 REP dropped to near zero value on the bravenewcoin.com exchange. What happened? I searched but didn't find an explanation.

I tried to find other exchanges trading REP but no luck. Any details on the apparent price collapse would be appreciated. Thanks,

Low liquidity, but IOU, not real REP.

Could you explain what "Low liquidity, but IOU, not real REP" means? The REP I purchased at the Augur crowdsale is just an IOU? When will "real" REP become available? Do I need to take action to trade my "IOU REP" for "real REP"? Thanks,

this is  a good info but one also one of the best source is none other then altcoin section announcement thread upcoming ICO usually post there announcement or shall we call pre announcement before before they made an announcement of their coin..

Thanks. I check the altcoin forum once every week or so. Its a great resource and I'm guessing it lists most of the upcoming ICOs? That sound accurate? But I want to make sure I'm not missing other good sources for info on upcoming ICOs.

Hi All,

Newbie here. Using some play money I've purchased some BTC and a few other altcoins and some ICOs. Intention is to hold long term. What are the best sources/sites to get info on upcoming reputable cryptocurrency ICOs and crowdsales? I've done some googling and thread searching and haven't found anything definitive.

Yes, yes, I always try to do some DD first. Caveat emptor, etc.

Thanks,

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Waves wallet for Windows 10 and/or Android? Timeframe? on: May 23, 2016, 12:25:14 PM
Hi All,

I purchased some Waves tokens and I wanna get them under my local control ASAP. From what I can see an early version of a Waves wallet for Windows and/or Android will be available sometime in June or July? That sound right?

Is there some safe way now to get my Waves tokens onto my Windows pc or Android? I did some googling and thread searching but didn't find anything. Thanks, Cheers,

OK, My Synereo AMPS are now in my Omniwallet. Cool. So far I've been pleased with my experience with this crowdsale.

Is there an Omniwallet for Windows? I don't like keeping funds in a web wallet.

Anyone know if an Omniwallet or AMPS wallet for Windows is being developed?

Thanks,
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: April 12, 2015, 09:39:24 AM

I'm pretty sure I do have the private keys for my Electrum wallet. But you lost me about the importing part. Import what to where? Anyone know where the AMPS go at the end of the crowdsale? I was told they go back to the original sending address. So this means that a sending address can also be a receiving address? They're bitcoin addresses. Does AMPS use bitcoin addresses? That still is not clear to me. How can my Electrum BTC wallet hold AMPS? Are AMPS just bitcoins? Will Synereo release some kind of AMPS wallet after the crowdsale is over?

People seem to be saying that the AMPS I purchased will just automatically go into my Electrum btc wallet after the crowdsale. Is that true or not?

If anyone can clear this up would be most appreciated. Thanks for helping a newbie.

Yes, they use bitcoin blockchain and bitcoin addresses. Any bitcoin address can hold AMPs.

But what is important - if you want to see your AMPs or send them or whatever you must use omniwallet. Create new omniwallet https://www.omniwallet.org, in chrome browser preferably.  Then you have to copy (write down) your private key from electrum and then open your omniwallet and use the import key omniwallet option.

OK, I created an Omniwallet account yesterday.

Will using my Electrum private key at Omniwallet invalidate the Electrum wallet on my pc? I'm guessing it won't, but I want to make sure.

So say I follow your instructions and import my Electrum private key into my Omniwallet. Then at the end of the crowdsale my AMPS will magically appear in my Omniwallet? How will Synereo know to send my AMPS to my Omniwallet? So it sounds like somehow, by using my private key at Omniwallet, that will tell Synereo that that particular Omniwallet belongs to me and they'll send my AMPS there? Sounds like my sending address is tied to my private key and Synereo can detect that somehow.

I have that right? Or am I missing something?

Do I have to do anything else to make sure Synereo can properly identify my Omniwallet as belonging to me?

I'm still surprised that there's not a website and video that clearly presents all this in a step by step fashion; its kind of complicated. Most newbies would be totally clueless with all the steps. Am I the only AMPS buyer who does not have a PhD in blockchain technology?

You are basically importing your Electrum Bitcoin Address into Omniwallet, same address and Private Key.
To avoid issues why not just get a new Omniwallet Address and use that to send BTC and receive your AMPs?
Easy life.

OK, if I do this does Omniwallet then have control over my private key? Will it create problems if my Electrum wallet and Omniwallet are both using the same private key?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: April 12, 2015, 06:30:19 AM
Don Konforty and others have said I need to send BTC to my Omniwallet and then send them the BTC. I'm confused. I used the Electrum wallet on my pc to purchase my AMPS. Why does my Omniwallet need to have some BTC in it before I can get my AMPS? Don Konforty seems to be saying I need to make another purchase of AMPS using the Omniwallet.

Can someone who has also purchased AMPS tell me what's going on with Omniwallet and AMPS?

If I used my Electrum wallet to purchase AMPS does that mean I'll never get my AMPS?

Do I need to use the same sending address to send BTC to my Omniwallet?

I request that someone post a step by step guide explaining how an Omniwallet is required to get the AMPS we purchased and how to set it all up. Thanks,
