LTC difficulty is now 96, if it goes to 105 at the same price i'll be neck and neck with bitcoin mining profitability

I am well versed in overclocking and I'm using afterburner for that, none of these settings do the trick, also i find that memory speed has almost no effect on hash rate.
There is certainly something wrong somewhere, because memclock tends to have huge effects. Have you tried completely removing drivers and reinstalling? Yeah, I have tried 12.8, 13.1, 13.2b7 and 13.3b2 I use the AMD uninstallation tool to remove them

do you know if he was using 1 thread or 2? thanks for that list I hope a find a magic one, nuts that 800/790 gives him that much!
16 gigs of system ram for him, wonder if that has anything to do with it... I currently only have 4gb in both 7970 systems until I can order more... I wasn't even able to hash using 1gb of ram.

Try settings GPU threads to 2 instead of 1 for the 7970s. That's the only thing I can think of. If that fixes it, I'll update it in the next GUIminer release.
There are a lot of complaints about cgminer 2.11.3 right now, I need to verify it functions correctly before I will add it to GUIminer
2 threads = 421Kh/s

I have 3 systems 1 Catalyst 13.3b2 on Windows 8 64bit 7970 @ 1000/1500 (i tried 1044/1500 like you had and it only increased hash by 20) GUIMiner-scrypt w/ cgminer 2.11.2 (2.11.3 breaks GUIminer) Using CGminer itself with the same settings and any other settings results in 400Kh/s 2 Catalyst 13.3b2 on Windows 7 64bit 2x 7970 @ 1000/1550 GUIMiner-scrypt w/ reaper 3 Catalyst 13.3b2 on Windows 7 64bit 5870 @ 850/1200 5850 @ 825/1200 GUIMiner-scrpyt w/ cgminer 2.11.2 I meant like chat not forum, but we'll see how this goes I'll tip someone in BTC if they'll help me with this via teamviewer

Hi all, I'm trying to mine Litecoin for the first time this weekend, and have had some encouraging results. I'm using one MSI R7850 with 2GB DDR5 in an older Intel Core 2 Quad system w/4 GB RAM. I'm able to reliably hit ~298 Kh/s - ~350 Kh/s with utility reaching between 13 and 16 shares per minute. Seems like decent rates for this card. Just a few tweaks to the --gpu-memclock and --gpu-engine go a long way. My card's RAM clock is 1200, but it _seems_ to work well at 1350-1375. Am I going to fry it quicker with these settings? Here are the switches I'm using: --scrypt --intensity 16 --gpu-memclock 1350 --gpu-engine 1000-1000
As I change the Intensity between 13 and 16 both the Kh/s and the shares/minute are higher closer to 16, but so are the hardware errors. I left it mining all night at I=16 and have a total of 450 HW errors. How bad is it to get these errors, and what amount is acceptable? Thanks so much for this awesome program, _theJestre lower intensity to 13, shouldnt be getting any hardware errors.

I have 3 7970s and the highest Kh/s I can get is 580 using reaper, smarter folks are getting well into 700Kh/s. 7 series are good but extremely hard to setup right now
Is there any place where people chat about LTC setup and optimization? I really want to figure out how to setup these cards properly.

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://xxx -u x -p x --intensity 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1044 --gpu-memclock 1500 I get 400Kh/s with those exact same settings 2.11.3 breaks GUIMiner-scrypt for me

I'm getting around 550KH/s on my Diamond HD7970 clocked at 1075MHz with cgminer using the following settigs:
One thing I have noticed is that memory clock appears to have absolutely *no* effect on mining speed. This seems contrary to what other people have posted. I've tried clocking memory up to 1575MHz (the max on this card) and down to 750 MHz and there only a few (2-3) KHash/sec variance.
Any suggestions on how to improve my hashrate would be appreciated.
Same as I'm getting, nice find on the memory clocks. I just confirmed it is the same for me, memory clock speed doesn't change the hashrate for 7970.

And since I have seen where the discussion is going, this is Room 3, actually by time, it was Room 1 - my first bitcoin project - for those who like more cards on one motherboard, and custom built solutions. My 5970s and 6950s - only problem is they pull too much power. Where do you get that metal frame that the video cards are on?

Intensity/aggression 13 or 14 is best if you still want to use the computer
People who have pmed me, I'm sick w flu, will get back to you soon
thanks taco! whats your LTC address?

made that change, now reaper.exe closes instantly when I open it
Edit: was using reaper v12, changed to v13b4 seems to be working
Quite a bit of slowdown in windows, what is the closest setting to intensity for bitcoin?
LTC tips for the help!

After following the guide for 7970, I get spammed with Error from server, I think have typed in the server info correctly reaper.conf kernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown no long_polling yes platform 0 device 0 # device 1 # device 2 # device 3

worksize 256 vectors 1 aggression 20 threads_per_gpu 1 sharethreads 32 lookup_gap 2 gpu_thread_concurrency 21712
Any ideas?

Hey!
I'm a newbie here, my address is 183Z5YpZNVRuxtzZRDzwafqi23azGjS4BF
I've been mining on this pool for about 36 hours with 2gh, how long before I should be worried that I didn't set something up correctly and wont be paid out?

it should, and I hope so.
