21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW - another ASIC chip on: July 02, 2013, 04:15:52 PM
What is the point of this post if there is nothing tangible yet?
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I'm starting to get fucking pissed (BFL) on: May 21, 2013, 07:21:08 AM
No.  They do not have a working prototype of anything other than their jalapeno.  You cannot do anything to change your position on delivery or on the development of their products.
23  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC ROI ? on: May 21, 2013, 07:19:02 AM
Meaning some independent developer who doesn't visit these boards comes online with a bunch of hashing power.  They are aware of asicminer.
24  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC ROI ? on: May 21, 2013, 07:11:31 AM
Avalon calculated the ROI of their units to be 1 month from delivery.  They did this to the best of their ability.  Any variance from this will be from a large input of unexpected hashing power.
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - Batch#2 waiting list on: May 21, 2013, 06:59:14 AM
I was just at the Bitcoin 2013 conference.  Avalon is upgrading their manufacturing and will be putting out ~50 units a day once everything is in place.  Batch #3 will be sent out immediately after batch #2 with no delay.  Stay calm, and be patient, your units are coming.  No news is good news.

If I had a dime for every time this thread was posted, I'd have at least a pocketful of dimes.
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ATTN] BitSyncom: I need to change my shipping address for my batch 3 avalon on: May 21, 2013, 06:50:59 AM
When it comes down to it, look:  You ordered Avalon to the address that you initially listed.  Unless you are reselling or a scammer, there is no real explanation for why you would need to change your address for delivery.  If there is anything Avalon is trying to avoid, it is to get involved in the politics of reselling or facilitating any activity beyond initial delivery of the product.  Unless you can justify your movement of address with severe crisis ie. natural disaster, government intervention, bloody revolution (which I'm guessing you cannot) there is no justification on your end for this issue, and there is no reason for Avalon to address your convoluted "problem".  Receive your unit at the initial address and then resell it.  If you claim you listed the "wrong address", that is your fault, they explicitly stated there will be little to no customer service for their sales in their terms of service.
28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Hypocrites? on: May 10, 2013, 08:05:38 PM
Are we reading the same article?  I saw no indication that they were building private mining machines.  Unless things have changed drastically, no Avalon employees have their own rigs.  And this post is about 2 newsletters old.  0/10 post.
29  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon B2/B3 late: Are they going to surprise us with a more efficient miner ? on: May 10, 2013, 07:05:45 PM
They have already paid the NRE to develop their gen 1 chips.  I dont see them going away anytime soon.

"No news, is good news."

Wrong forum page?  Also, lol.
34  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 490,000 Avalon chips already ordered - 150T hashrate spike coming in August on: April 21, 2013, 05:22:19 PM
Oh, this gets interesting. I didn't expect this amount of sales in such a short timewindow.

How many purchasers do you think are speculators just hoping to resell their in-hand chips at a markup?

Considering the max order is 200,000 chips, I feel at the moment it doesn't seem likely they will "sell-out" and turn into a mark-up situation.

Thought more about what I said, and what you were saying.  I understand what you're point more clearly and apologize for my strong words without putting a proper amount of time into them.
36  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: If any hardware makers really want to succeed!! on: April 20, 2013, 06:57:55 PM
You're not even worth discussing with.  All you do is turn to insults when someone calls out out your bullshit.
37  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: If any hardware makers really want to succeed!! on: April 20, 2013, 06:49:52 PM
You complain about Avalon's price in BTC pizza, but its just showing your greed.  Of course you should pay BTC for something that generates BTC.  The price conversion doesn't matter and just shows your lack of faith in BTC, and hopes of turning a quick profit in fiat dollars.  Its funny actually, and your hostile language just shows your intentions.  You're the greedy, entitled asshole.

Yes when i buy a 20k miner and i need to now pay for things like bills, ect i will just send those companies bitcoins. Ohh wait they dont accept bitcoins so i need to convert them to fiat you dumb fuck. Go fail at life elsewhere.

If you're too poor to support your basic living expenses and have to rely on Bitcoin mining and conversion to fiat to pay them, you clearly dont have the capital to risk to become a player.
38  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMINER: Erupter Blades. Review, comments, photos, and discussion! on: April 20, 2013, 06:41:58 PM
I'm interested to see if these will pay off or not.  76 BTC seems like so much to me.  Best of luck to you investors.
39  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: If any hardware makers really want to succeed!! on: April 20, 2013, 06:38:25 PM
Completely missed the point. The EUR or USD dont have 50-200% price swings in a months time. Im all for of using bitcoin to make purchases if it was stable.

Wat?  Define "price".

1 BTC is always worth 1 BTC.

Just as 1 USD is always worth 1 USD.
