21  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 27, 2014, 04:08:56 PM
How long is it taking lately to process share transfers?

I am waiting 3rd week (request by mail), but i sent PM request via bitcointalk only last week ... so i'll be wiser on Wednesday. I'll let you know in PM then.
I sent a transfer request by email on 4th Jan and it was processed by friedcat on the 8th.

Make sure you include a signature using the address the shares are assigned to. Maybe requests are just silently ignored otherwise.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable scrypt to GPU mine on: December 26, 2013, 07:29:03 PM
why not just mine on something like middlecoin which automatically mines the most profitable coin, sells them and sends you btc, unless your planning on holding the coins.
I prefer to mine on multipool as it means I can quickly sell any coins I've mined if the price starts crashing, rather than on middlecoin where you have no control over when the coins are exchanged. Plus, it's ~4% fee vs ~2%

so Gen2 is skipped?
I'd also be very interested to hear the answer to this.

It's frustrating seeing responses which indicate that all the questions in this thread are being read, yet ignored.

As of this post, the store is now down to less than 1,000 USB Block Erupter units. These are the last units that will ever be purchaseable from an official reseller (they are no longer produced and other resellers are sold out).

The price has been dropped to 0.06 for 1-9, 0.05 for 10-49, and 0.04 for 50+. These prices include free domestic shipping.

49-Port USB hubs are now available for every multiple of 30, at a reduced price of 0.05 BTC.

International shipping has been updated to 0.02 BTC + 0.01 BTC per unit.

Your timer ends at 16 minutes past the hour, is the auction ending on the hour or 16 minutes past?

Thanks for the great explanation, definitely cleared up the parts I didn't understand.

I've sent your 0.2 BTC, thanks again.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] [0.2 BTC bounty] A couple of primecoin implementation questions on: July 19, 2013, 12:28:42 AM
Thanks for the unhelpful posts.

Still waiting on a valid explanation or some evidence that the logic really is arbitrary.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [XPM] [Bounty claimed] A couple of primecoin implementation questions on: July 18, 2013, 11:58:20 PM
I've been trying to wrap my head around the maths / implementation of primecoin and I think I understand most of it now apart from a few details which I hope someone can fill me in on:

What's the reasoning/logic behind the minimum multiplier calculation? (main.cpp:4642)
Code:
CBigNum bnMultiplierMin = bnPrimeMin * bnHashFactor / CBigNum(pblock->GetHeaderHash()) + 1;

What's the reasoning behind the fixed multiplier selection? (main.cpp:4649)
Code:
CBigNum bnFixedMultiplier = (bnPrimorial > bnHashFactor)? (bnPrimorial / bnHashFactor) : 1;

0.2 BTC bounty for a good explanation of the two!

Thanks in advance.

Thrown a bunch of pretty powerful machines at it but nothing yet, I guess the starting difficulty is quite high.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Prerelease Announcement - Introducing Prime Proof-of-Work on: July 07, 2013, 06:25:17 PM
Those trying to use the linux build, although the .tar.gz is truncated, the extracted primecoin-qt is ok and runs fine.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Prerelease Announcement - Introducing Prime Proof-of-Work on: July 07, 2013, 06:11:12 PM
I'm guessing the binaries are in the progress of being uploaded as both the win32 installer and linux tar.gz appear to be corrupt at the minute
