Updated the opening post with some of our recent promotional material such as the Blockchain Dynamics Interview and our appearance on the Beyond Bitcoin radio show Smiley

I don't know what changes you made but the bottom of the announcement looks all fucked up now. You might want to take a look at it.

Yeah I agree. Maybe center the promotional stuff? Some of it looks off.

I'm getting excited now we're approaching the final count down. It is a long way off and that is kind of disappointing for the devs knowing the amount lame ass ICO's are making recently and here we have real world use from the start and for some crazy reason it is slow.
On the bright side, my investment in Jewels currently costs 300sat per coin!! With that number, I don't care waiting months on a slower timeline. Smart money and investors will feel the same, real world purpose and dedicated dev. This is not a 300sat coin hahah this is 1000's sat coin and more once we get the confirmation from devs bittrex will be listing then the new game is released. So message to potential investors, don't bother investing here please  Cheesy

sorry devs

You really shouldn't be doing that.  Lips sealed

Some people are stupid and cant figure out how much each coin is and how cheap it is but now you posted it and everyone will know.

Market will reach an equilibrium no matter if you tell people the price or not Smiley

Just got confirmation from Fuzzy from Beyond Bitcoin that the recording should be up within the next 24 hours. Also a reminder is we've started using Steem now to post updates but don't worry we'll still be posting them here! So, if you're a Steem user make sure you check out @pro4never Wink

This is great news. I've been feeling I missed out on the hangout and hoping to join the next one in the future Smiley

Just to give everyone an update on the Beyond Bitcoin recording, when it's up it should be available on their sound cloud over here - https://soundcloud.com/beyond-bitcoin-hangouts

It's currently not available yet, so once it is we'll be sure to tweet about it!

I have strong faith that this project will prosper. We'll see Smiley
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump or long term goals? on: August 28, 2016, 05:37:11 AM
I have some long term goals in regards to btc, I think it'll hit 700 for sure this year and hopefully 1,000. I see it as a side investment sort of like buying gold you know?
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - Pre-ICO] BlockPay - Zero Cost, digital currency Point-Of-Sale systems on: August 28, 2016, 05:36:23 AM

For the tokenholders to get a return on investment of 3% the company has to realize a transaction volume of 1.000.000.000 (1 billion) euro's per year.
(1.000.000.000 x 0,5% commission x 15% payout tokenholders = 750.000 euro)

1,000,000,000 x 0.05 x .15 = 7,500,000 euro not 750,000.

@ 1 billion euro transaction volume per year and 15% on a .05% fee, the project would be an outstanding success for all involved.

But, they have not committed to this.

This seems a bit unreasonable no? I mean, long term goals are great and all but...

Anyone online on Conquer Apex right now?

I was thinking about hopping on but I have a bbq to attend in 20 minutes. I did want to try it this weekend though, so maybe after the bbq or sometime tomorrow during the early afternoon.
Are you online now?

Yes, I won't stay long though, it's night here so we may meet tomorrow. Have a nice day!
Whats your character name and class? I'll send you a whisper in game next time I'm on.

So let me try to clarify our current stance or views on things,

As of right now we have looked into the legalities of online gambling with virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and what some of the bigger Bitcoin casinos use. Namely what we've looked into is offshore registration for the company mainly dealing with Jewels in Costa Rica or other similar countries typically used for these sort of operations. This seems to be a popular choice as it's reasonably priced and obtaining a gambling license there doesn't seem as difficult as in the North America or Europe. The restrictions we need to impose with a Costa Rican gambling license isn't that bad either. It's worth noting, since we're not gambling with Bitcoin or fiat it's less likely a legal authority will pursue us but we want all of our bases covered.

On the note of smart contracts, I personally have looked into Etherum but have not had much chance to experiment with or learn Solidity although it seems like a fairly straight forward language. While at this time I'm not 100% sure about everything gambling related being able to fit under a smart contracts it is an idea we're open to. I'm aware of the fact that we can utilize an Etherum token stored in a smart contract and effectively do an asset swap when we're ready to pursue the smart contract route. I'd like to stress though with the recent incident of the DAO it's clear that this route is something that should not be rushed so we see this more as an end-game idea. Definitely we will need to consult with parties who are more familiar with Solidity and smart contract development to ensure we don't unleash another disaster like that. If you know anyone who's had some decent experience with Solidity and Etherum, I'd love to have a chat with them so please encourage them to email us at jewels@apexconquer.com or better yet reach out to us via Slack.

This should help clear up some of your questions freequant and for anyone else curious let me know if I've missed anything.

Have you considered looking into Lisk as well for smart contracts? Their smart contracts are in java script.

If you missed our segment on Beyond Bitcoin, we will be tweeting the link to their SoundCloud once the recording of the entire meeting is uploaded as well as mentioning the time when we speak at. If you weren't able to directly ask us questions on the Beyond Bitcoin hang out, join us over on Slack where we're more than happy to engage in dialog! Grin

I missed it too. Next time can we get some prior warning beforehand to give us time to adjust our, (at least) my schedule to be able to attend. That would be awesome.

they tweeted.... https://twitter.com/JewelsCoin/status/769092559947886593 and if u had read steem article when they said they would try to get on the show it said 10am friday est Undecided

Bet he feels like an ass now.
lol
 Grin

To be fair, they only tweeted 6 hours before the show look would've started so looking at the time it's not entirely Brian's fault, but he should've read the Steem page.

I have noticed this site is offline: http://45.55.9.239:3001

DBIC must be hiding the rich list wallets for dumping purposes.

This project has been long dead for some time, I'm not sure how people haven't realized it. Thank god I got out near the top, I only held for 2 days when I bought it.
30  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: August 26, 2016, 10:46:01 PM
The government can eat a dick they can't ban Bitcoin, the public rose up when they tried heavy internet censorship too

You missed it now. Its over but was a great interview. I think it's going to be put tp to soundcloud in the next day or two, You can listen to it then from there.

It has been an helpful interview, it also clarified a couple of things about integration of jewels into conquer servers and possibly into other games.

Whenever Jewels is live I can just imagine that if they can get another game to adopt them that it'll be a huge step forward and will shake the price up a bit since it seems so hard for the other gaming coins to find adoption.

I talked with Fuzzy and he said the SoundCloud recording is usually available the day after, I'll post this as soon as I have it!

I missed it, can you give us some notes on how it went and what was covered? Was it better then the blockchain dynamics radio show, I hope so because that one sucked and the hosts were the furthest thing from on the ball. And congrats on hitting 50 btc, its now 25% funded and most money tends to come in at the end, hopefully this is no different and it gets fully funded on day zero.
Or before. That would be wicked.

You'll be able to hear the recording as soon as the Beyond Bitcoin group upload the recording. We feel that it over all went better then the Blockchain Dynamics show because it was far more engaging with people asking questions in real time as well as followup functions and not just Chris essentially talking to himself.

We're now actually just shy of 57 BTC so we're on the right track towards meeting our goal!

Great news! Sucks that I missed it but thanks I'll be looking forward to listening in tomorrow to hear what they asked.

You need to just pull the trigger and make your investment. It may be yours thats starts everyone on their buying.

Well, everyone's investment so far hasn't triggered sustained buying. There is no reason one more will change anything. Incentives are stacked against participating before the absolute last moment. I suggested OP to change slightly the structure of the ICO to neutralize the self-reenforcing effect of the wait-and-see strategy. It's up to OP to decide if he wants to help his own ICO. It's not my role trying to bootstrap things on his behalf.

Do you vote when your country is electing it's leader or do you think it doesn't matter because what's one vote going to do? I am glad not everyone thinks like this...  Undecided
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake coins with strong community on: August 26, 2016, 04:03:41 AM
Hello,

I have been searching the forums for good POS coins with good development and community and aren't prone to price manipulation. In no order I like.

Zeitcoin
Blackcoin
Peercoin
Mintcoin

What other coins are there that have a future?

Thanks

Nxt which isn't exactly PoS in the inflationary sense because the supply remains fixed like Waves and you earn Nxt through forging (which is essentially holding onto Nxt like you would in PoS to stake) has a strong community behind it. Just check out the Nxt 2.0 movement!
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: August 26, 2016, 04:00:15 AM
Sad kinda wishing I sold all my coins instead of just half.  Gonna need an upward bounce soon or ppl like me are gonna dump to at least make something.

In the same boat at you. I have faith though that if ETH ever fucks up again in the future which no doubt they will you'll see a huge spike in ETC when users/business flock.
37  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to create such a wallet? on: August 26, 2016, 03:27:00 AM
Is it technically possible to create a desktop wallet where we can store all crypto including bitcoin and all existing and to be launched coin in one wallet? I know one can keep them in online exchanges but it is risky.

Technically  it's possible to create that. But the problem is you need to download every blockchain if not you can not sync. You just need run their coin daemon and then your application connect to coin daemon.

Isn't this wel... not true? How does Electrum do it then where you dont' need to download the blockchain? If other alts ran similar Electrum servers, then this would be possible without blockchain download.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest in Rimbit? on: August 26, 2016, 03:25:29 AM
Going to say no. I'd only invest in something of keen interest to me or of something I felt was safer. It's easiest to leverage the news of certain alts, i.e. Nxt's update caused it to like double in value.
39  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain is charging high fees - $0.25 for sending 1 Bitcoin transfer on: August 26, 2016, 03:18:29 AM
We were using Blockchain with our site for quite a while but this has become ridiculous - they were charging around $0.04 initially for sending 1 Bitcoin transfer but now if we paid a member $1.50 for instance (worth of Bitcoins, a minimal amount) we would see a $1.75 deduction i.e. $0.25 is in fees!

That's absolutely ridiculous, yesterday it was $0.11 and now it's $0.25 - they keep on raising the fees.

Is this normal?

Couldn't you always just run your own full node and that way you'd have full control over everything?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (JWL) JEWELS 🔷 MMORPG 🔷 ICO LIVE 🔷 8 DAYS LEFT 🔷TRUSTED DEV 🔷 40 BTC RAISED 🔷 on: August 26, 2016, 02:20:35 AM
That Ninja class sounds bad ass. Will you be adding more classes to Heroes as time progresses? Also, do these classes use the same resource that Warrior uses? Not sure what it's called but I noticed some of the skills a warrior can learn consumes the teal bar in the middle of your health.

That center bar is stamina. It is used by all classes for certain skills. Ninjas use stamina for all of their skills.

We plan to focus on additional content through re-designing under utilized content rather than adding fresh classes. A good example would be weapon variety. There is a dozen or so different types of weapons (swords, blades, axes, hammers, hooks, clubs, etcetc) and only a handful of them are actually used. Our first major expansion pack will take some of these weapons and give them new skills and mechanics to make them more interesting. That also serves as a way for us to expand on classes that feel a bit underwhelming for players based on the previous few months of gameplay.

For example if 4-6 months from now archers feel a bit stale (they have always been more of a player vs monster class) then giving them some new skills based around an existing under-utilized weapon would be a great way to make the class more exciting and at the same time leverage existing client assets to save on development time.

Yes ninja class have no future in this game but if they add some skill like invincibility or comoflage Im think they have a good and have a bright future in this game.We know ninja can hide and attack that you didn't sense it.

Based on how the class worked in the original conquer online and based on our testing, they are a very powerful class. They can be thought of as a counter to ranged classes like archers and taoists due to their very quick damage. Where they run into issues is when they can't quickly kill a target in a hit or two (such as when vs a warrior). At that point they need to wait for a weakness by working with allies or by repeatedly applying poisons until the target is weak enough to take down.

looking like bad clone of diablo 2.... sry but not this crowdfund only to scam bitcointlak people... it will be abandoned in a month after ico....... and why goal 200 btc? 120k usd??? you cann't develop without them? ugly game rly....................  if goal was near 50 btc  it will be seems like more true ..... 30k usd is enough to hire some designer and programming engineer  for 3 month to fully complete this "mini-game"

Lets break things down as it seems you may not have read the full OP (it's long I'll grant you that).

Apex has been online and been my full time job for 18+ months - Conquer Online (the game it's emulating) has existed for well over a decade. There is no development funds needed for that project and it is an existing and established game where jewels will be used as an immediate first use case (built in demand for the currency).

Heroes is a much more modern version of the same game (conquer online) and will be launching within a week of the ICO ending. There is no development funds needed for that project and it has been in development/testing for around 8 months.

Jewels Gambling is what the funds raised will be used for. These will be a series of provably fair crypto gambling games which will be available separately from our private server projects as well as being embedded in the existing client. These gambling games will therefor have an immediate audience of thousands of users as well as the very large potential for future growth by partnering with other servers, other games, other gambling websites in order to have our games added to their offerings.

The remaining dev funds will be put towards phase 1 of developing our own MMO. We have many years of experience developing stable and popular server projects as well as developing unique content for players. We want to push those skills to the next level by developing our own game from the ground up. Yes, it will be inspired by many of the concepts from Conquer Online that we like best but it will NOT be a clone, it will be our own game developed from scratch with modern gaming in mind.

The amount of funds we raise determines how many gambling games we can create, how quickly they will be ready for users and how complex they can be. Simple things like dice games and slot machines require relatively little in regards to development (a couple artists and a developer or two) but if we're going to expand to much more complex projects like multi player blackjack, roulette and more then that requires a LOT more in terms of programming, art (3d models, textures, effects) and sounds.

The gambling projects are our priority when it comes to this ICO as it's where funds can be best utilized to grow the coin past simply being a premium crypto used in a number of existing games. Having them immediately in use is a huge benefit, don't get me wrong but it's not something that can scale exponentially. Heroes/Apex has no use for external funding and that's nothing to do with what this ICO is about, it's simply the first and most accessible use case for the coin and a demonstration of my past experience as a developer.

Wow, thanks for this super detailed response. However, you gave me another question when you mentioned all the weapons. So right now I notice that what it comes down to is Warriors can use shields, Archers can use bows, and Taoists use backswords. What weapons will these monks and ninjas use and will they be able to use a variety of messages like the Trojans and Warriors can?
