crypto in general is such a grey area for gambling as we all know so lets not speculate and pretend we know all when we don't. there are many ways around it but i would like to leave that to the dev to decide and not hump the thread with speculation and opinions, especially if you're not invested.
smartcontracts is ONE avenue of many, lets wait for dev.
Are you advising that potential investors should not do due diligence on what they are investing in, whether it is legal, and whether the dev team has enough business acumen to avoid walking on a mine? And people should do due diligence after investing and not before? Are you serious? What is this thread for if not for investors to ask questions on matter they consider to be important? You don't have to agree but you don't have to interfere either. Legal matters are much more relevant to this ICO than the question of whether a Trojan-Trojan-Trojan would reincarnate in Trojan-Trojan-Archer or whatever that was, and which you didn't judge necessary to try to censor.

I was considering investing a large sum here including possibly direct equity investment but seeing how immature and trollish the future community appears to be, I am probably better off passing on that one.

Nice early start and i see troll v troll this is getting exciting but lets move on from that please. the dev is a smart guy and i have no worries that my investment is safe with or without gambling enabled on the site. crypto in general is such a grey area for gambling as we all know so lets not speculate and pretend we know all when we don't. there are many ways around it but i would like to leave that to the dev to decide and not hump the thread with speculation and opinions, especially if you're not invested.
smartcontracts is ONE avenue of many, lets wait for dev.

I see it is not a pretty site for the last page but if someone has opinion or idea, he should be able to express them without being censored, I missed the show yesterday, did many of you get on there to have a listen, if so how'd it go?

i was lucky enough to get on and hear the show and i must say it was very good. Chris has a very trusting and calming voice. he obviously knows his game very well and where it is headed making me feel safe with my investment. come payday i will be throwing another 0.5btc at this. would be more but that is all i have spare.

EDIT for the dipshit above. Nowhere did i say don't do due dilligence!! Of ofcourse you fkn should haha at least read. there is due dilligence and then there is polluting a thread with speculation which is what you are doing until the dev answers. trolling with a newbie account- loser. IGNORED.

I watched the youtube videos about dev introductiin and game demos, I am pretty sure that jewel is a legit project, let pump on board. Grin

DanDan stop being so immature ignoring people and telling people not to do due diligence in between the lines. If the devs suck him off and do as he wishes he will be throwing a large investment at this project, but now he is moving on  Cry Thanks DanDan  Roll Eyes Seems he obviously needs to go back to voxels because there isn't no immature community members there. I blame you for this DanDan you big troll asking to wait for the Dev answeres. I'm glad the show was recorded so I can get to listen too. Are you on for long today to have a game?

EDIT for the dipshit above.
I haven't insulted you but be my guest if insulting people makes you feel better.

Nowhere did i say don't do due dilligence!!
You said that I shouldn't challenge and question dev's approach especially if I'm not invested yet. Do you understand that this is what's called doing due diligence? Due diligence is something you do before investing. Suggesting that people who haven't invested yet aren't welcome ti ask questions and challenge the responses they get is desingenuous.

he clearly said wait for the dev answers instead of speculating between you and a newbie..
whats the big deal in waiting for the dev and why are you reading different to other people?
you called him and others immature trolls, that is an insult when he wasnt trolling you he just asked for you to speak to the dev.
btw why dont you use your main account?

I think it was clear he was saying you should all wait for the dev to answer any questions you have, I agree with that and I agree you should always DD. However, you are all coming across as trolling even if yours is on the more serious side. You are however trolling him.

Do you feel that you could help the team in creating smartcontracts on ETH? Do you feel that you can contribute and would want to help the team in anyway? You seem like you could possibly be a good asset to the team.

I am not experienced in smartcontracts, can you tell me is it not dangerous creating smartcontracts if you're not familiar with solaridty? I have in my mind the Deo disaster. So how would a smartcontract work on this project? I'm very interested.

So let me try to clarify our current stance or views on things,

As of right now we have looked into the legalities of online gambling with virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and what some of the bigger Bitcoin casinos use. Namely what we've looked into is offshore registration for the company mainly dealing with Jewels in Costa Rica or other similar countries typically used for these sort of operations. This seems to be a popular choice as it's reasonably priced and obtaining a gambling license there doesn't seem as difficult as in the North America or Europe. The restrictions we need to impose with a Costa Rican gambling license isn't that bad either. It's worth noting, since we're not gambling with Bitcoin or fiat it's less likely a legal authority will pursue us but we want all of our bases covered.

On the note of smart contracts, I personally have looked into Etherum but have not had much chance to experiment with or learn Solidity although it seems like a fairly straight forward language. While at this time I'm not 100% sure about everything gambling related being able to fit under a smart contracts it is an idea we're open to. I'm aware of the fact that we can utilize an Etherum token stored in a smart contract and effectively do an asset swap when we're ready to pursue the smart contract route. I'd like to stress though with the recent incident of the DAO it's clear that this route is something that should not be rushed so we see this more as an end-game idea. Definitely we will need to consult with parties who are more familiar with Solidity and smart contract development to ensure we don't unleash another disaster like that. If you know anyone who's had some decent experience with Solidity and Etherum, I'd love to have a chat with them so please encourage them to email us at jewels@apexconquer.com or better yet reach out to us via Slack.

This should help clear up some of your questions freequant and for anyone else curious let me know if I've missed anything.

Since we seem to be on the topic of finances, I thought I'd pop in and give everyone an update that as of now we're at around 33.5 BTC which is around $20,000.00 USD so we getting closer towards our goal Smiley. Also at this time I would like to state that at the end of the ICO, we will be applying for a listing on Yobit but as a reminder we have already begun the application process of applying for a listing on Bittrex - we're just waiting for them to reply and tell us how they would like us to proceed or what other information they require. After we have launched our Slack and started to build our Jewels community, it is our next goal in terms of exchanges to seek listing on Poloniex.
JewelsProject, any reply from Bittrex? And when JWL will be available on other exchanges?

Sorry, I missed this. No, we're still awaiting verification from them and for them to inform them of the next steps. I had sent them a follow up email after submitting our application and our identity verification asking them what the next steps on our end should be, they simply replied

Hi,

Thank you,

Ryan @ Bittrex

This weekend, I'll be reaching out to them via Slack and encourage other members of the community to do so as well. As for other exchanges we're not too keen on being listed on C-Cex due to the fact we're a PoS coin and our investigations have found threads suggesting it is very likely C-Cex stakes user deposits and takes the rewards for themselves. We will for sure at this time be listed on Yobit as we will seek a paid listing on there but it's a core objective to be listed on a more trusted exchange such as Bittrex.

thanks for your update dev.
what is reasonably priced for company registration?
i see that the provably fair gambling comes sometime after the release of the game and you have already looked for avenues to protect yourself and us, that is very good to see as an investor in jewels.
having all bases covered is the work of good projects.
while i first thought freequant was fudding, he asks good and legit questions and is exactly what projects like this need.
good community that works for the better of their investment, i see some got worried and made light of the situation but overall i am happy with your answer and would like to hear more about the possibility of using smart-contracts in the future.
either way, whatever route you choose i believe it will be worthwhile protecing yourself and jewels.

If you missed our segment on Beyond Bitcoin, we will be tweeting the link to their SoundCloud once the recording of the entire meeting is uploaded as well as mentioning the time when we speak at. If you weren't able to directly ask us questions on the Beyond Bitcoin hang out, join us over on Slack where we're more than happy to engage in dialog! Grin

I missed it too. Next time can we get some prior warning beforehand to give us time to adjust our, (at least) my schedule to be able to attend. That would be awesome.

they tweeted.... https://twitter.com/JewelsCoin/status/769092559947886593 and if u had read steem article when they said they would try to get on the show it said 10am friday est Undecided

Bet he feels like an ass now.
lol

To be fair, they only tweeted 6 hours before the show look would've started so looking at the time it's not entirely Brian's fault, but he should've read the Steem page.

This is investing being discussed and the early bird gets the worm. You gotta be on top of your game and that includes staying up to date with all the dev posts, and social media blasts.

Have you considered looking into Lisk as well for smart contracts? Their smart contracts are in java script.

Its not that big of a deal there will be a recording. Personally I'm still waiting to hear it as well but no rush. The ICO still has a few days left for me to throw in a bit more Wink

Anyone online on Conquer Apex right now?

I was thinking about hopping on but I have a bbq to attend in 20 minutes. I did want to try it this weekend though, so maybe after the bbq or sometime tomorrow during the early afternoon.
