21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For Highly-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: June 04, 2018, 07:12:12 PM
Apparently Sumo are 17 blocks ahead of ch-heavy chain, exchanges will problaly remain on most accumulated chain.

If they change to ASIC and bitmain can use their recently launched cryptonight ASIC to secure the network, i guess its not a bad idea at all.
PS: I dont hold any SUMO.

The point is ASICs are not intended to secure netowrks, and furthermore tend to centralize.
Not to mention the impairment to small miners.

PS. I mine SUMO, now, not sure I should hold them

Im glad u mining it, but ASICs cryptocurrency miners are high-efficiency, so i can consider them 1000x better to secure a network. Also sorry to dissapoint you, but decentralization is a hoax, no ones give a single f888 for this, as long as the network are working 100% perfectly.

ASIC coins are much more prone to 51% attacking than GPU coins are.
In theory yes, but what we've seen shows that crypto is about profitability and not theory e.g., bitcoin gold -equihash coin- attack. Bitcoin Gold hashrate chart shows no anomaly, so why they attacked it?
Still not conviced ASICs are devil-ish

24  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: June 02, 2018, 01:10:54 AM
Yobit is not a scam. They are just fun exchange.
With what they are doing to their traders, slow response and poor support gives them title by most as a scam. I don't find it fun when people are suffering to use an exchange that they entrusted with their coins.

They may or may not deposit for you and may or maynot necessarily make the withdrawal to the address you specify.
Deposit, withdrawals problems belongs to Yobit's management and it's their duty to solve it for their customers.
there is so many coin has been listed in there because of listing fee so cheap
they do not fix any coin issue, they just let them dead and do not care.
they let many people stuck with their shitcoin or sell it for cheap bitcoin.
i sugest do not trade your shit coin in yobit.

The owner's probably are full rich after that 2017 bull ride, you will never see them anymore, the money they made need's decades and decades to be spent. They rarely appeared on yolobit chat, now they will *never* appear there. Try another exchange.

...
