The people who left had no dev skills, they had no marketing skills, no big connections to important exchanges or people, they joined later and quickly left, and basically couldn't get anything done.
So, developers who stayed have dev skills, marketing skills, have big connections to important people and exchanges? These marketing skills are most important, since this is only coin that lost more than 99% of it's value in last year. Baldrick from "Black Adder" would do better job.  the statement "this is only coin that lost more than 99% of it's value in the last year" is not true. to see this, go here : https://athcoinindex.com/price/page/allthen wait patiently for the page to populate. Then, on the left, change the "ATH date" filter to range from "0 minutes to 5 years" to "0 minutes to 1 year". Then sort the "% from ATH" column descending. You will note 2 things : 1. Bitcore is not in the list. this looks like a bug, because the web page knows about bitcore because you can type it into the "search currencies" box, which then only displays the % from ATH drop over 5 years (not 1 year). but more revealing is : 2. somewhere between 20 % and 16 % (1/5th and 1/6th) of all of the listed coins have a percent drop over the last year of 99 % or greater. (I got the 'between 20% and 16%' by eyeballing how far down I had to move the vertical scrollbar to hit a coin that was at 99 %). when I page-up, the page scrolls by 20 coins. how many times to I have to page up to reach the top? 27 times. So that's a minimum of 26 X 20 = 520 coins that all fit the 99 % drop criteria. these are in reverse order of percentage - so TerraNova had the highest percentage drop >= 99 % you can use filters on the site to see the above list. i've added a screenshot of how to do it on imgur : https://imgur.com/gallery/h7CES5h almost all of this coins you mentioned were scam like bitconnect or abandoned projects or hype coin that used fake news and manipulating the price for a big pump til devs and big holders could sell their coins in high price and then left the coin like lbtc and zclassic i think. so you telling us we should compare btx to scam and dead coins?  and i said I can't remember any coin That has been able to recover 99.5% loss. pls name us a coin that has been able to recover that |

last time i saw a few exchanges stopped translations together for a coin for more than a couple days it was the time that coin has been the victim of double spend attack.

i just want to say something for me very interesting: this thread, have more replies than bch's thread. In my hopinion this is great.
This is an interesting remark, which is suggesting that coins can exist with a huge value even though they don't have a real community behind. So the value of BCH is possibly NOT the consequence of the existence of a committed community, but just of a committed set of big speculators. Just as an idea... A large team of devs, tons of free press, large backers, over 1,000 patents and listed on every exchange might also be factors worth considering, eh? 1000 patents? please expand ... perhaps the word is out BTX is the ONE coin to RULE them all ... one coin to find them (btc) one coin to bind them (forked coins) ONE coin to RULE them all BITCORE !! exchanges predicting demand and closing withdrawal to cover bases? hmmmmmm.. ... and a current accumulation phase .....? just what is going on we are not in the mood for your stupid jokes. |

What you need to understand is that without quality market(reliable, accountable) where you can safely buy Bitcore, it's impossible to gain organic growth, organic growth do not exist without a constant, reliable market. Every coin that was scammed by existing exchanges throughout the year using all kind of tricks, obviously got in the hands of those who scammed them.
Development and partnerships are awesome, but they get hammered by the huge loads of coins that were scammed by existing and vanished exchanges. And again. And again, until there will be a reliable market.
I don't understand what you are trying to say. Which exchanges would have "scammed" BTX from whom and how? cryptopia is a crapy exchange and they scammed me before not btx another coin 99% of bit.z volume is fake but hitbtc is a good exchange It was better if instead of this 10 exchange we were in one good exchange like Huobi or Binance |

This is worst performing shitcoin for anyone who bought near the top price Of course BTX lost about 97% from it's peak price in Jan'2018 (0.7$ vs 30$). However total BTX amount increased 3 times. In that case the drop is about 90-91%. Little bit better The most altcoins lost about 90% of their peak prices during 2018 year. Thus BTX looks like many others. Anyway sell now will be the worst idea if you hold till now. You already lost 97% the remaining 3% doesn't matter anything. btx lost about 98% from peak and rank in CMC fall from 50 to 330. like many others? tell me name of one like btx and the only reason I bought this coin it was because of btxm and i think btxm it was just a lie and those btxm pics were fake and photoshop like London billboard |

I estimate crypto having a 50-60 trillion dollar market cap by 2025 when bitcoin is up in the trillions you won't have the big gains/losses more market cap the more stable the currency is.
