Mac: ~/Library/Ethereum/keystore
Linux: ~/.ethereum/keystore
Windows: %APPDATA%/Ethereum/keystore
Legit the first thing I did.. this wallet is over 2 years old and is worth a good bit of $, if I find a solution I will post it here. |

The fact that you managed to send your ETH from your current version of Mist leads me to suspect that Keystore
you are currently using is correct, and that Mist not being cooperative is more likely the problem. The fact that the problem with your mist is highly likely this one ^^^ If you don't have the backup privatekey to your keystore it is impossible to retrieve your ETH/Token in your address. I have the Keystore.. just like the guy in the post above I don't recognize the address at all, but the same password I used for the other wallet works on this one.. There's a lot of reasons why you have a different address instead of your own, and probably you didn't update to the latest version of mist or perhaps your personal computer is fully associated with a lot of trojan. Why don't you try to use the method of the reddit OP to send his 8 remaining ETH to his address. The only problem he hasn't solved yet is how in the hell he can't send his Token. Welp, he just got back to me, that didn't actually work for him, he got lucky and found a really old backup of his key. |

So a few years ago my friend was mining eth and his hard-drive crashed, and before he wrote over it he went on it and extracted the Mist and ethereum file; only problem is for some reason the key in the wallet changed? He doesn't recognize the wallet at all and neither do I and it's empty, but get this, his password (same one used for the eth wallet when he first set it up) decrypts the key..... any advice? 0.5 ETH Bounty!

Im interested with the concept. I would love to watch anybody who trade, LIVE!. This is a great source of knowledge for we could "shadow" a trader doing trades. The giveaways are not necessary though, but an addition if you want bigger amount of views. Just rock it up and let us know when you'll start the livestream.
You can try to trade with me, but the majority of trades I do are called skim trades, and they're very time sensitive so I wouldn't recommend it. But I will be explaining the strategies I use via what I've discovered myself and what I've discovered from others. I will try to observe at first, I can't commit into things I'm not used to or would somehow risky on my side. But thank you for approaching. Traders are scared to share their methods because of mass implementation, but I seriously doubt that will happen.

Hey guys! Been trading and overall losing for about 2 years now, only recently have I gotten good at doing skim trades (like 0.2-0.8%) per trade, overall my earnings are doing great! I want to start live streaming my trades and showing the strategies I've been using and too up my viewers on Twitch I'll be releasing 0.003 BTC in 3 separate withdrawals to randomly selected accounts at 3 different random intervals during the stream! At the end of the month I'll be doing a special trade stream where all my earnings from my entire portfolio (worth around 0.4 BTC) during the stream will go to one specific user randomly chosen from a raffle. (5 raffle tickets will be given randomly to any 5 followers on my Twitch at the end of every stream and yes it's possible to win more than one ticket per user) I'll do proofs showing that what I'm doing is honestly random as I'll be releasing both the raffle tickets and BTC drops during the stream! It says it's focused around transferring hashrates of various HF accounts, but the owner who's called "Daddy" has created almost half of the users. New world record in hashrate, the winning number is 23938 PH which means that hashrate has increased 30% since last increase in difficulty.
So embrace for a decline in income per TH of about 20-25%
I think you calculated something wrong. The expected difficulty increase which happens in 90 blocks (15 hours) is just 11.1%. It is far from 30%. Yes its not at all a calculation, it is an estimation, whe are not there just Yet, and since i suspect what is going to happen, that is my bet on it. 20 to 25% increase in difficulty is the estimation, the 30% increase in hashrate is the actual number, which i keep track of every day and save in my excel sheet so i can follow on daily basis whats going on... 26th of Jan the PH number was 18370 Well, then I can estimate that hashrate will increase infinitely in the long run. However, only estimations for the nearest difficulty increase make sense. Today difficulty increased by 11% as expected. Oh well u read that on internet and passed it on, just hours before others have calculated it for you, nevertheless that we are up 27,2% for the last 14 days, dosent make me so happy at all, and its contrary that the hash-rate increases while the profitability is at all time lows it seems, i mean bitcoin has dropped quite a bit while miners have been earning less and less. Why is crypterra STILL down fam? |
