21  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Elousdt.vip - Ponzi scheme on: June 19, 2024, 03:33:41 PM
Unfortunately, when gullible people see the words such as "daily profit" they can make a mistake and send their funds to scammers.
This will never stop because those who are spreading their affiliate links are getting something between 5-10% on an average per deposit from what I have seen on such sites. So they have the objective to spread it as much as possible in order to get paid well and make their time worth the money.

Unless this sick mentality of profiting from another individual's loss stops, this will also not cease. The former will stay as long as humans exist.

Flag supported from my end. Even if the site goes down, the one promoting it needs to learn a lesson.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a weird way of weath redistribution? on: June 19, 2024, 03:27:26 PM
I would not go to that extent that it is wealth redistribution, it is more like a company selling its product and the employees getting paid from the profits. Indeed the casino industry manages to create a number of jobs. That is why the people who profit from gambling are the ones who are working with the casino and not playing in it. This includes the owner, bankroll investors, affiliate marketers and offline workers.

If you opine that most of the casino workers are poor and they are getting paid from the rich, yes that would be correct apart from the fact that everyone does not work at the casino, so it is a skewed distribution.
23  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: June 19, 2024, 03:18:42 PM
Round 27 of the prediction games was intense, with everyone making close predictions, I was not hoping to even get a single spot on the winning list, but it seems that luck is still on my side as I did manage to enter into the top five and won a decent 15$ worth the keep. I would say it takes a huge load of luck to be the first three in such close predictions and hence congratulations to everyone who won.

Thanks to the owners of jacksclub to keep running this game flawlessly!
24  Other / Meta / Re: Last Active "Recently" on: June 18, 2024, 03:16:48 PM
Just another wizardry by none other than @PowerGlove to add to our ancient forum. Although this is something I might never actually use, because I would rather show myself as active here so that people know they can contact me in need.

Feels like Whatsapp now, no offense though. Grin

The only thing I see wrong with this is that you could use it as an indicator when looking for alts that break the rules, because many times the same person would connect with both accounts and log out of both within seconds of each other.
Previously when I used to hunt alt accounts, learning from the best here like Lauda (miss you Cry) this metric was the poorest among the evidence that can be used to prove accounts to be alts. Usually same addresses and transactions were more concrete evidences.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Im waiting Crisis to buy finally land and Property or to build myself on: June 18, 2024, 03:09:06 PM
Yes Im waiting crisis when i can buy finally land and Property everything is so expensive.
But war will make better prices in every bad there is something good war it's not good thing but at least you could buy something cheaper after war.
In other words you are waiting for another war to hit?

You understand that if war does happen, cost of everything will go up, including property? Because old properties might get destroyed, new property costs may rise and so will the cost of living and building something.

I dont know if you have seen a post-war country in real life, but those who have do not give a merry experience. Poverty, miserable life and destruction are the terms they usually apply.

You might have your arguments, but this is my opinion.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Aviator games on: June 18, 2024, 03:06:10 PM
It's one of the few games I've never used in an online casino. even though it's actually a lot of fun...
this lack of interest is the same as all games that are not based on player experience or skill.
No skills is what usually attracts the gambler because they dont want to use the skills to win or do something, no offense. Cheesy

Crash games are very easy to start off and very difficult to stop. Because as soon as you see that huge wins are possible when the game is running, you get addicted to them. You never know when the multiplier will hit a 1x and crash at the first millisecond leaving you with a zero balance. Immediately you will start chasing the loss instead of accepting the loss.
27  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 18, 2024, 03:02:32 PM
The forum needs a permanent arbitrator group or something, but nobody wants to waste their time, I think 90% of accusations are false when isolated. If 2 or 3 post, it's usually a sign of a problem.
I think the DT members act as a good enough judge as to whether the casino needs a flagging or tagging. This is as much as the forum mechanics allow us to do and I feel the job is being done well by them.

There is also the thread by @holydarkness where you can see the currently running cases on different casinos out there and what their current status is, of course after being investigated if they are valid or not.
Scam Accusation Cases Against Betting Platform on The Forum

Most of the valid ones get solved eventually, which if why I dont see a problem. But yes there loads of invalid ones and they get ignored.
28  Local / India / BWA urges Finance Minister to provide a level playing field on: June 17, 2024, 05:14:50 PM
BWA stands for Bharat Web3 Association and it seems they have approached the finance minister with this proposition to make the balance in a recent news article.

Among the things they have asked for, rationalizing the taxation on crypto is something that everyone here can agree on.

But one thing I could not understand, they are asking to "level the playing field" as per the writers of this article - however who are they competing against? and for what? Or am I missing something here?

The entire news article can be read here - ‘Provide a Level Playing Field for Web3 Businesses’: BWA to FM Nirmala Sitharaman
29  Other / Off-topic / Re: Passive income on: June 17, 2024, 09:50:00 AM
I've tried a couple passive income schemes that turned out to be scams.

Does anybody know of any that are not scams?

Thanks!
The idea of earning money while doing nothing is what is said to be passive income, it seems tempting and hence you will likely find scams if you randomly go about searching for it.

In my last 8years on this forum I have been looking for proper methods for this. Most of them have a <10% per year interest rate.

1. Investing in a casino bankroll. Not many casinos allow this anymore, but a few still do and they are not bad.
2. Holding bitcoin for years and stacking up more every dip - not exactly a passive but a worthy one.
3. Staking altcoins - NOT recommended.

30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: June 17, 2024, 09:42:47 AM
Every time we enter their online casino, there are terms and conditions, so it must be obeyed, if we violate the casino will take actions that do not follow the rules.
It is unfair to see from the gamblers point of view but from the casino's point of view it is very much needed. This can be argued in different manners, but end of the day the gamblers will not stop gambling so they "need" the casinos to run and the casinos "need" the players money to keep itself running while keeping it safe from money laundering.

There is always the option to jump on the next casino in line who are yet to introduce the KYC and use them for the next few months. I dont see any workaround at present. In future legal stuff will be streamlined, hopefully and we can see peaceful gambling happening (if that made sense!).
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im in cryptocurrency 6 months only but i will not risk like other newbies on: June 17, 2024, 09:34:50 AM
Assuming the OP's first language is not English, feel free to visit your local country boards as well and welcome to the forum.

Trading in altcoins - not something I recommend to newbies. Be quick about them, book the profit and exit, dont hold them for long, unlike bitcoin which you should not sell unless emergency and continue to stack on.

Leverage and futures, all those other methods of trading are not spot trading. Remember that spot trading is the only place where you are not actually gambling with the money, you will have asset at hand at the end of the trade to do the opposite trade, maybe in the future - so not a complete loss. However leverage and all can wipe out your entire balance in a few hours.
32  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto casino without investment on: June 17, 2024, 09:25:03 AM
What you are going to use the money invested there is the question. If you are willing to use the money you already have to open the payout wallets, then you dont need investments, if you are lacking there then you do need it.

Because you dont want the scenario of not being able to pay out big winners happen on your site at all. That immediately raises red flags in the gambling community.

Faucets also have a wallet running to pay out the users, if you cant pay, you will not get traffic.

34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concentrating heavily into BTC on: June 16, 2024, 07:45:13 AM
The concept of bitcoin/altcoin is similar to different views of religion and different types of governments.

Each one person has their own view on crypto and they are free to create something new from it and thus the emergence of altcoins. But time has shown us that each and every altcoin is not worth putting your money in. On the other hand bitcoin has out performed itself and is essentially enough to cover the needs.

Year by year have passed, I have watched from 2015, and it all cycles back, altcoins suck and bitcoin dominates.

Hence it is good enough to keep a little bit on altcoins but keeping the maximum in bitcoin.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: June 16, 2024, 07:39:50 AM
While I do think that I am still far at some players that already reached international level, I am quite satisfied with my progress given that I only do this as a hobby and not as my main source of income. Still, however, this kind of opportunity is definitely a blessing that I would forever cherish.
This varies between countries as to what the players can turn into profits or not. In the US there are these gaming groups which are paid well because of their performance and they are taking part in every tournament out there, I am sure you have heard of such groups or seen them online.

I think we can all agree on the fact that turning a passion to a profession also needs the right circumstance, otherwise it just remains a small time hobby.

Game/music/movie/even adult content reviewers do publish their blogs, if possible videos on youtube and all make a decent money out of. Of course that needs to grow and dedication, without these two traits, nothing can be achieved.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does affilate programs work in casinos? on: June 16, 2024, 07:34:52 AM
For single players, this is a small bonus if you bring a friend or partner, nothing more.
For a player bringing a friend, that friend will likely be of the same earning capacity of that referrer player, so 5-10% of their wager is peanuts. On the contrary consider roping in 10 people each with 10% affiliate commissions - now that is something of a good outcome if they are regular players. Or if you bring in a couple of whales who bet huge amounts on each bet, then the differences start showing up.

However these are difficult campaigns to run and needs dedication from the referrer. It is important to to identify the type of audience you are catering to, their demands and how they can be roped into wagering regularly.
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 16, 2024, 07:31:14 AM
All in all, I would say that freebitco.in has been around for a quite long time, it was a website that barely got any visitors back in the day when it first started and I was here when that happened. In the end, they did manage the website well enough that it is one of the most visited websites in the world now.
They can modify the rewards from the free rolls if abuse is the main culprit behind losses from the site. This is assuming that the casino is actually losing more than winning which is highly unlikely, even though certain people might be using the event as an excuse to promote their own koolaid and social media.

The site is trusted but I would like a higher responsive support system. Maybe something similar to what competing casinos are having? Would that be too much to ask, consider the UI is much simpler on their site than others?
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: June 16, 2024, 07:28:01 AM
Yes, you are right, that winning in gambling is just a matter of luck, so as a gambler it is better not to chase the victory, play wisely and responsibly so that we do not get too carried away by the atmosphere that is really sad later.
When it comes to land based casinos, the fun aspect is what people are aiming at but that does not mean they dont get addicted to the nice ambience, colorful games, waitresses Cheesy and other things.

The thing is created in such a way that it keep your addicted to it and makes sure to drain your pocket. Hence the games should be played for a limited time and for fun only. The people who get stuck at las Vegas and never come back are a prime example of what not become. Even after a loss, it is possible to continue with life and lead a productive one albeit a simpler one.

By no means is online gambling is profit-chasing one, rather a loss-chasing one.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Accepting Crypto Salaries Worth It? on: June 15, 2024, 09:54:56 AM
Even though many forum members here would encourage to be paid in bitcoin, the final decision depends on whether your local authorities are fine with it what you taxation situation is regarding crypto transactions and how feasible it is to convert it to fiat currency because obviously local merchants wont be accepting bitcoin.

Therefore a partial salary in bitcoin and the rest in fiat might be a better option for the time now. Maybe in future we can all go with 100% crypto salaries. Hopeful when the streetside junk food stall will be having a QR code to be paid in bitcoin.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one of those did you partake in? on: June 15, 2024, 09:50:22 AM
I am beginning to think that the only time a gambler gambles for fun is only when he gambles with what he can afford to lose. In this case, a gambler has $10,000 as his savings, and he gambles with $1000 down, he or she won't feel sad when they lose it (it means they gambled for fun). But if a gambler who has the same $10,000 gambles for above $5,000, and he loses all of them, the gambler won't be happy about his actions,
Someone being fine with losing a thousand dollars from 10k savings, bugs me, because I would not be fine and regret the decision to gamble in the first place. It is a huge amount of money from where I come from. Still as long as it is kept within the "fun" domain it is fine. There should be a ceiling on the max budget to be spent on gambling otherwise the spending becomes difficult to keep track of.

Bankroll management and risk management are two thing if a gambler starts to do they will no longer be an addict.
