Happy Easter everybody! I was hoping that Easter bunny would bring us Linux version of Nemos. Any ETA on that happening?

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/26/analyst-slashes-amd-nvidia-price-targets-on-new-cryptocurrency-mining-chip-from-china.html"During our travels through Asia last week, we confirmed that Bitmain has already developed an ASIC [application-specific integrated circuit] for mining Ethereum, and is readying the supply chain for shipments in 2Q18," analyst Christopher Rolland wrote in a note to clients Monday. "While Bitmain is likely to be the largest ASIC vendor (currently 70-80% of Bitcoin mining ASICs) and the first to market with this product, we have learned of at least three other companies working on Ethereum ASICs, all at various stages of development." Why wait three years to develop ETH ASIC? And then release it just before the rumored POS switch?

What a day! Been mining on Nvidias since end of 2016, and guess what: I lost my ETH virginity today. Tired of waiting for ccminer shitcoins to wake up from winter slumber. Before you ask: 1060s with Samsung memory, chugging ethash on MPH with 55% PL and insane memory OC. I call that ECO-MINING ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I will try to catch up this month: Thanks for the community edition: papampi , kk003, damNmad, leenoox and meligo ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Rebuilding the community edition using the vBASIC image as a starting point might be a good idea. Let me know. vBASIC is linked on the OP. Ello Guvna. Still residing on this earthly domain? Guess I was too hasty to pronounce you dead ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Here is a snippet from a message FZ sent me in April 2017. I asked him how he predicted major rise in altcoins in March of 2017.
ME: How did you know altcoins were to rise mid March? You turned out to be right, although they seem to defy laws of gravity and refuse to go down
FZ: Well I didn't expect this level of fiat pump; so technically I was wrong.
Most likely in a year or two; it will become clear how I came to that conclusion. Sorry I can't be more forthcoming. To answer your question I would need the permission of others; which I find unlikely in this case.
I was planning to ask him in March of this year to be more "forthcoming" about this mysterious claim. I guess we will find out "in a year or two". RIP Fullzero.

I am having an intermittent issue that I've never had before -- on the latest nemo / latest miner files occasionally "lyra2z" will hang up with a ccminer error. If I just go click "okay" NEMO will resume as normal. But that system will simply idle until I arrive and click OKAY.
Any fix for that ?
Using the Group Policy Editor Start gpedit.msc. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Error Reporting. Display Error Notifications : DISABLE Disable Logging : ENABLE Disable Windows Error Reports : ENABLE The infamous "ccminer has stopped working" error is most elegantly solved by running a .reg file(s) found here: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/disable-program-has-stopped-working-error-dialog-in-windows-server-2008/BTW, nice to see Nemos miner becoming more and more intelligent. And thanks to all you guys contributing profitability findings! I myself use Awesome Miner to find the most profitable coins/pools. Ever since Nicehash came back and killed Neoscrypt profitability (again), X17 on ahashpool was usually most profitable, so I am back to single algo mining just like with equihash/ZEC a year ago ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Single algo mining: slightly less profit, much more stable rigs. Greetings Patrike,
please consider adding zergpool in the next update. Thanks.

ahashpool vs ahashpool24 - COMPARISON
Ok I've concluded my test after 17.5 days, two identical rigs (6x1070ti) with MSI power 77%/+100GPU/+500MEM 17.5 day test (btc 13540) - 6x1070ti - 900 interval
Miner1 = $39.15/day (ahashpool) Miner2 = $37.23/day (ahashpool24hr)
It seems in the end, 24hr script isn't the most profitable, at least not in this 17.5 day period (12/27 to 1/14)
I've now started up a new comparison!
Miner1 - AHASHPOOL Miner2 - ZPOOL
We'll see who is the winner.......
Very much appreciated. I have been mining X17 for the past three weeks on ahash, since it was constantly top earner according to calculations done by Awesome Miner . Do not ask me about actual income, too lazy/stupid to do that kind of calculations. I just hope ahash is not inflating their "24hours actual" profits in order to lure unsuspecting miners to their pool ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Yep, when sharing code, it's usually best not to use the shorthand version because it need a particular configuration. See php doc : Clean UI though ! Yeah I know. Hobby project. :p @Bitbustah could you please add normalizations/hashrates for Nvidia GPUs so we can use your stupid woman like we do with whattomine?

Ah I see,
But good information anyway. I am thinking of extending my rig and it's difficult to find hash rates for x17 on the different cards (might have missed a calculator somewhere). Not sure if I should go for 1060s, 1070s or 1080Ti So it's fair to say that a 1060 3GB does ~6.8MH/s I reckon?
zpool is a treasure trove of information http://zpool.ca/benchthank you crackfoo!

Thanks. Went from 35 to 40 MH on X17 with 1060 3GB. I hope it keeps behaving nicely ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How many 1060 is that? I hope it's not one or I will seriously have to reconfigure my rig ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Sorry, whole rig. Also, I made mistake by forgetting that that one particular rig has 6 1060s, and not five like the rest of them, so no noticable improvement over the old drivers. At least the gpus are not Melt(ing)down anymore ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
|
|
|
PSA: Updated driver to 390.65 and seeing a ~7% increase in hashrate versus 388.13. All else being said.
-edit - Running it on 2 identical rigs, side by side, same algo & miner and I can see that the usage & power are alot "smoother" as well.
Awesome. Thank you! disregard

@crackfoo: why no love for segwit addresses?
|
|
|
Greetings and happy new year crackfoo and others. How come I cannot use Segwit adress for payments? I am getting "recv line failed" error when I put my Segwit adress in wallet field. Thanks.
Does your address start with "3," or "bc1?" From personal experience, P2SH addresses which begin with "3" should work. I haven't tried a bech32 address which starts with "bc1" so I can't speak to that. It starts with "bc1". How is zpool "segwit ready" as per first page of this thread when it does not accept segwit address? Or am I doing something wrong?

Greetings minerx&Co, is neoscrypt the only ccminer algo that likes high memory overclock? Is it worth overclocking memory when not using neoscrypt exclusively? Thanks.

Greetings patrike, I intend to use AM for profit switching on hashrefinery. I added a few missing algos (xevan, tribus, bitcore) and added them in options-> "online services" section using hashrefinery predefined template values (with their specific port numbers and API values, ofcourse). But they do not show up in "online services" tab. Skein and Skunk (which are predefined by AM) show up, but not the ones I added manually. So I tried adding those three missing algos to "online services", but with zpool values, and lo and behold, they showed up under online services, for BOTH zpool AND hashrefinery. So what am I doing wrong? Is it a bug or a feature? How come adding custom algos works for zpool but not for hashrefinery? Thanks.

So far in the 1st 24h 4x1060 + 1080ti hased for about 0.0012 Btc. Not bad, not good. I've since added another 1060, I'll try to monitor and see how that goes for a few days.
How to determine 24 hour earnings? By subtracting "balance" or "total pending"?
