Running on windows 10 17063, with 2 nvidia gtx 1080's. All drivers & all are up to date & they aren't overheating.

However, when this switches algos. Say going from equihash to ethash or something. The new algo gets blocked from accessing the gpu. This happened when benchmarking also, it might get through 2-3 of the algos, but then one would get blocked.

Rebooting the pc allow's it to start an algo and go for a while, but when it goes to switch again, it start's failing again and needs another reboot (or sometimes gets the bsod, due to too many requests to a blocked gpu access)

Is there anything to research more into why it's getting blocked, or what specific is failing? I have since just changed it to 1 algo, so it's mining whatever is the most profitable of that specific algo & has been running for ~24hrs now, but it's not able to do cross algo switching reliably.

Turn off windows defender antivirus (or add miners to the whitelist). Most of the miners are recognized as viruses.

I've been using bitdefender, so windows defender has been off, I have bitdefender excluding those directories, but it hasn't been flagging / removing / quarantining anything.

All the miners work fine if it's just that miner, only comes into play on the switch, but a reboot & restart the new algo works fine until it goes to switch again.

Here is the update from the current vs 24hr avg....  Last day or two has caused the 'current profit' to swing a little higher on avg between the two rigs at day 12.5.  I use a 900 interval to prevent constant switching.  I still like the 24hr more since it doesn't switch so much.

(8.5 day test) - 6x1070ti
Miner1 = $44.40/day (ahashpool)
Miner2 = $44.65/day (ahashpool24hr)

12.5 day test (btc 14743) - 6x1070ti
Miner1 = $41.94/day (ahashpool)
Miner2 = $40.59/day (ahashpool24hr)

I appreciate you doing this.

Has anyone tested the difference between zpool and ahashpool since the zpool update?
I started yesterday and after about 16 hours here's what I came up with.

Miner 1 - 2x1070 - .00057904 btc - ahashpool
Miner 2 - 2x1070 - .00031789 btc - zpool

These are the total earned figures not the balance which has gone through the exchange.  I was mining zpool after the update for payout in altcoins and I noticed a huge drop in my payments so I decided to set up as two rigs to see what the real difference is.  I'll keep this going until Monday to see what's going on but right now ahashpool is showing 45% higher returns that zpool which is a crazy difference.

As of 9:00AM here I'm at:

Miner 1 - 2x1070 - 0.00147459 btc - ahashpool
Miner 2 - 2x1070 - 0.00091089 btc - zpool

That's roughly a 40 hour run time on both pools.  Zpool did better than the first 16 hours but it's still 38% less than Ahashpool.

As of 9:00AM here today I'm at:

Miner 1 - 2x1070 - 0.00207074 btc - ahashpool
Miner 2 - 2x1070 - 0.00165609 btc - zpool

I started to play around with a few things to see if it looked like zpool was skimming.  I did a 9 hour test running just x17 on both computers and found it to be only 2% higher for ahashpool which is pretty close, with hourly swings in either direction.

I also did a 10 hour test on lyra2v2 only and that screwed up the entire test really.  I pulled:
0.00029338 on zpool
0.00013759 on ahashpool.  Part was due to right after I started a bunch of people left ahashpool and the other is I think the ahashpool computer was screwing up because my share % was way too low for what I knew my hashrate was vs. the pool hash.

Overall it looks like zpool's current profitability switching keeps nemos out of the good paying coins, but head to head it's basically the same algo v. algo.

I'll run a test over the weekend to see how ahash does against  hash refinery.

PSA: Updated driver to 390.65 and seeing a ~7% increase in hashrate versus 388.13. All else being said.

Thanks for letting us know. Will do the test. Smiley

Hi Guys,
I get ocasionally this error on a 6xGTX1060 rig

ConvertFrom-Json : Invalid JSON primitive: .
At C:\..................\Include.ps1:32 char:55
+ ...   if (Test-Path $Path) {$Stat = Get-Content $Path | ConvertFrom-Json}
+                                                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (Smiley [ConvertFrom-Json], ArgumentException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.ArgumentException,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.ConvertFromJsonCommand

running startahashpool24h.bat.

I have other rigs running ok on nemos miner.

Any idea?
thanks

Its a bad txt file in the stats folder.  I usually go in there and sort by date and delete recent ones that are not the ccminer hashes, so stats for ahash,zpool,etc.  That fixes it right up.

Thanks mate. This fixed the problem right away.
Good to know.

-edit - Running it on 2 identical rigs, side by side, same algo & miner and I can see that the usage & power are alot "smoother" as well.

Already regret doing it.

The auto switch algorithm is based on current price or it's a future prediction. Because basically the reward for unit hashrate will reduce when the coins price is higher. However, for the most of case, the coin price is undervalued will have more income. When the price is pumping, the reward will be really high.

Feature request:
add ccminer palgin mod 1.1 for nist5.
add palgin's hsrminer for neosrypt.

working on Palgins HSR miner atm... any help testing would be appreciated :

https://github.com/nemosminer/NemosMiner-v2.3/archive/2.3.1+Palgin.zip
NemosMiner-v2.3.1+Palgin HSR Neoscrypt(testing)

palgins mod 1.1 i have had in nemosminer in the past there was no need for it....

i'll do some testing but im sure my current Nist5 miner is just as fast if not faster...

Regards
Nemo

Hi Nemo,

Tried using this updated miner for Palgins HSR, but Palgin keeps on crashing randomly when running. I am using an 8 GPU 1070 setup. Running on ahashpool

Yw. Let me know how it works out. Need some testers.

Working great on my end. Only had to replace a couple "<?" by "<?php" in index.php. Probably a different configuration between my server versus yours. Was showing the php code after those "<?" instead of interpreting it.

I even added a second grabber to monitor another rig. Working perfectly. Thanks for your work!

Yep, when sharing code, it's usually best not to use the shorthand version because it need a particular configuration. See php doc :

Quote
PHP also allows for short open tag <? (which is discouraged since it is only available if enabled using the short_open_tag php.ini configuration file directive, or if PHP was configured with the --enable-short-tags option).

Clean UI though !

Thanks.
Went from 35 to 40 MH on X17 with 1060 3GB.
I hope it keeps behaving nicely Smiley

How many 1060 is that? I hope it's not one or I will seriously have to reconfigure my rig  Smiley

I'm using it for few days also - and it is very helpful Smiley Thanks for this very much Smiley And have one suggestion - could You add also summary for the last 24h in just one line? that we could see how much did we earn in last 24h - i know that i can add earnings from all hours but this would be less work for us Wink

Sorry, whole rig.
Also, I made mistake by forgetting that that one particular rig has 6 1060s, and not five like the rest of them, so no noticable improvement over the old drivers.
At least the gpus are not Melt(ing)down anymore Smiley

Ah I see,

But good information anyway. I am thinking of extending my rig and it's difficult to find hash rates for x17 on the different cards (might have missed a calculator somewhere). Not sure if I should go for 1060s, 1070s or 1080Ti
So it's fair to say that a 1060 3GB does ~6.8MH/s I reckon?

If it helps for x17 my 1070 TI's right now are doing 13.7 MH/s per card and the 1070's are doing 10.7 MH/s.

Cheers!
