21  Economy / Speculation / Re: RIP Bull Market on: February 26, 2019, 11:23:57 PM
Looks like it all ended in one trade.
The bull market was not even close to starting, many people were very excited to see the growth on bitcoin and they believed this was finally the bull market they have been waiting for a year, but the bear market we are facing is the longest and most difficult in the short history of bitcoin and I do not see it ending any time soon, in fact it is possible the bear market will be still with us until the next year.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO culture dead already? on: February 26, 2019, 11:08:33 PM
Forgive me if I’m living under a cave, but I haven’t heard any news about the promising ICO’s in a long time. Maybe you bounty hunters will have a better idea. Apart from the scams posted for the fake ICO’s, I don’t see any interesting projects like Dao, Liks or Waves these days. If you have any such projects to share, please list them down below.
While this is not going to be the most popular opinion in the forum I am glad that icos are losing popularity, it is true there are many success stories in the forum of people investing at the right time and making a fortune but there are many more stories of people that lost everything they invested due to fraud from the developers or that lost their coins to hackers.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will the Bear Market End? on: February 26, 2019, 10:39:52 PM
I am a Hodler, I have waited for straight 8 difficult months to see the bulls return, we were having some semblance to a boom in the last 2 weeks, now market cap is struggling with 250 Billion $. How long are we going to wait?

When will the bear market end? Sometime in 2019. It might have already ended. But if I had to guess, it will end sometime after June 2019.
I think that signal is already visible, the price has increased significantly and the price has risen by more than $4000 now.
if this condition continues to occur. of course bearish will completely disappear and change to bullish. hope that happens
And now we saw the opposite happening and the price went down, predicting the market is not something that everyone can do, only a few can do something like that everyone else can just watch it and hope that things go in the right direction but that will not happen now and we will need to keep waiting so we can see the positive movement in the market we want.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: February 26, 2019, 10:24:26 PM
Since bitcoin was created many people have been predicting that is going to disappear or that is going to be replaced and ten years after its creation bitcoin is still here and I do not see a reason to believe that will happen, and it is not difficult to see why this has not happened, bitcoin is not only the first coin but the one with the best developers and the best ideas and no one can surpass them.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a new BIG BTC buy signal??? on: February 21, 2019, 08:54:00 PM
I don't trust the buy signals anymore. Anytime people say we are going up I feel like we might go down as much as we can go up as well.

Like there is no difference anymore between going up and down and anything could happen at any given second. Tomorrow I can wake up to bitcoin being 2 thousand dollars or 10 thousand dollars and neither would be impossible. We all would be surprised that it moved that much but none of us would say how it happened because its bitcoin and we are used to seeing stuff like this from bitcoin.

I think the most logical thing to do right now is to wait and see how the trend will move the price, depending on the trend if it starts to go up you can buy (if it goes up %5 you can start buying because usually if it goes up 5% then it goes up higher as well) and sell when it starts to go low.
That is just the nature of the markets, if you watch any other market you will see people making bullish predictions and then when the market goes down they try to find some explanation for it when most of the time there is not a logical explanation we can give about why the market moves the way it does, that is why long time ago I decided to stop following those kind of news and only concentrate on the price.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether or altcoins? on: February 21, 2019, 08:49:52 PM
At this moment I will prefer to hold ethereum over most other altcoins, and the reason is simple we are going to see a great increase in the price of ethereum during the next months and I do not want to miss it, other coins could grow even more but this is the easiest money that I will ever made since it is obvious that after the update ethereum will go up.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC bear market over????? on: February 21, 2019, 08:36:30 PM
ICOs now is having a big problem, the whole market is tanking, only a few of the projects can reach the hardcap, and some projects are regulated or even stopped by the governments. I think it is much much harder to find out a promising ICO project for now...

And who are the ones that are guilty of what is happening now? The icos share a great deal of the responsibility of what it is happening now, icos have been promising to do all kind of improvements and in fact most of them did nothing positive for the community and instead stole most of the money that could have been invested in useful projects, so if icos are not getting enough funds then they deserve it.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: February 21, 2019, 05:57:42 PM

I dont know if the government will issue their own crypto because they already have their own currency and its enough for them to earn a profit because they can create a supply of it whatever they wanted to.

Many country do already issue their own coins but most of them have failed because they didnt get enough support from their people  .  this is not a threat to crypto overall  .
Just look what happened to Petro, Venezuela's own crypto currency, in which now became useless. It's too controversial as it says it's backed by their oil but unfortunately didn't.

Personally, I don't see myself using government issued crypto currency as yes it's obviously centralized and damn don't trust any of it.
We all love bitcoin and other alts because of its decentralization and after all this is what we're yearning for.
And that is the issue, bitcoin was at first created by satoshi as a way to not have to rely on governments for your currency since they have shown through history they should not be trusted, so it does not matter what they say about their created cryptocurrency they are lying and only a fool will trust them, it does not matter what they do I will never use a cryptocurrency issued by a government.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this just a bounce? on: February 21, 2019, 05:30:03 PM
Only time will answer the question if this is just a bounce or the next bull cycle starting. For example, Bitcoin broke down from its bottom support zone around $6000 last year and unless it is back above $6000, it can not be called bullish. Similar considerations apply to other top coins and it will all be clear in coming months where market is headed.
I think we will be back at that level again, we stayed longer at $6000 until we got dumped so hard.
Well, it's just a matter of time, what comes down must come up and I believe this year we are going to witness some good uptrend.
BTC will survive even if we got dump many times, hopefully bearish will be over anytime soon.
I also think that a recovery to that level is inevitable, it may seem hard now that the price of bitcoin is struggling to overcome the 4000 dollars mark but it will eventually do it and once it does it seem to me we are going to see optimism in the market and we could reach 6000 again, however I think we are not going to see that until the second quarter of the year.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: February 19, 2019, 11:23:21 PM
I can sell my altcoins if what I expected is no longer what I’m seeing at last. Sometimes you expect a token to perform good but when you get in you start to see it perform worse than you expected, so you have no other option than to sell it and quickly use that money to maybe buy another altcoin that is doing much better than it or even use that money to buy extra Bitcoin, cause that one is more reliable than altcoins.
Whenever you buy a coin you need to have in your mind a price in which you will sell it if things begin to go wrong, many people never do anything like that and they keep holding their coins even when they know the price is going down and that is why you have people that have lost a fortune in the market and some that lost the savings of many years by investing in icos.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: February 19, 2019, 11:19:06 PM
I would say look at the top-10 coins, chose one or two, take a more deep look at their teams, their plans and the project as a whole. Invest in 4-5 coins for a long-term hodl.
Even some of the coins at the top of the market are not worthy of our investment or to be held for the long term, just look at bitcoin cash which was a coin trying to say it was the original bitcoin, or tether which is not even a cryptocurrency since it is backed by dollars, so investing in the top 10 coins is not enough, you need to see if the coins are any good before investing in them.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Who controls the market? on: February 19, 2019, 11:15:11 PM
So far, those who can control the market are traders because the traders have a big impact on the market increase and also a decline if it is my own opinion
I really respect your opinion but for me it is not only traders but there are allot of people who has control over market such as selling and buying strategy and those who panics can change price of market, there are some whales too who use to sell high amount of bitcoin at panic and make price too low with high supply and low demand again they buy double with almost on half price to hold.

actually we are the one who controls the market once we sell our holdings the market will move, it is depends on the amount if the amount is too small then the market wont be move in a wide direction. We wont be able to move the market because of the amount that we sell or bought in the market and those whales that usually had the huge amount of transaction they are the one who can control the market.
Anyone that buys or sells moves the market slightly but since most of us have very small amounts of money it is impossible for us to move it too much or at all but the whales thanks to the huge amount of coins they are holding can move the market but even they need to be careful, if they move the market too much in any direction another whale may take advantage of that and make them lose money.
33  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: February 19, 2019, 11:05:22 PM
That is a very personal decision that you need to take depending on your circumstances and what you believe it is going to happen to this market, if you believe in bitcoin for the long term then this is the perfect moment to buy since the price will surely go up during the next years but if you are not that convinced then this could be a good moment to get out and not comeback until the recovery is obvious.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 19, 2019, 10:39:48 PM
You got a point here . strategy of others wont always work on some people . thats why it is much better to foccus on your own strategy , not only it is beneficial for you . it can also teach you a valueable lesson if ever you fall from your own mistake .

When it comes to fuds, we must not believe on them instantly because fuds are only the same as speculation and prediction . they are all unreal or no evidence to back thier statements .  fuds only causes users to panic  and fudsters only take the benefits at most .
Those that like to spread FUD most of the time appear when the market is not doing well, after all if the market is skyrocketing you have no reason to beleive anyone that is warning that the market cannot sustain such growth, but when they spread their FUD when the market is like this many people will believe them because deep down they are thinking something similar even if they do not want to admit it.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: The dollar affects Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2019, 11:15:19 PM
The dollar still affects the price of bitcoin. because basically the current value of bitcoin is also based on the dollar and if there is a negative sentiment towards the bitcoin dollar it will get a decline as well
currencies such as dollars should not be able to influence the movement of bitcoin prices because the dollar with bitcoin has a very clear difference, and what can influence the price of bitcoin is only the influence of the interaction between buyers and sellers in the exchange.
It is obvious the dollar has an effect on bitcoin, after all a popular currency to exchange bitcoin for fiat is the dollar but I see them as adversaries, if the dollar is doing well then the are is not a reason to use bitcoin for most people since they can use the dollar for whatever they want but if the dollar is in some trouble then there is a chance for the price of bitcoin to go up since people will be looking for alternatives.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Better Late than Never? on: February 14, 2019, 11:03:05 PM
It is not even that late, you cannot get the profits the early adopters got in bitcoin but you can still get profits so huge that can make you a lot of money in a short amount of time, I know some traders that are happy with getting 25% profits during the whole year and in this market you can get that in a month with a single trade if you enter in the market at the right time.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your expectations for ICOs in 2019? on: February 14, 2019, 10:49:42 PM
If the crypto market recovers, then 2019 will be a great year for investment. Investors have become smarter, and now they are studying crypto projects before investing.
I do not really think that many investors have become smarter as you are suggesting, many are still making the same mistakes as before and are investing in icos trying to recover the money they lost only to find out the number of scams in the forum has increased or that the tokens they got for their money are not worth anything and there is not a reason to think that will change.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: February 14, 2019, 09:59:07 PM
of course it need, because it can greatly help to eliminated the scam and fake one ico, who nwant to cheated us.

That is what they are using to tempt people into accepting regulations but believe me nothing is going to be solved and we are going to have two problems, the first problem will be the scammers that will always find a way around the regulations and the other will be the regulations themselves that will not allow the freedom we have to invest in whatever project we want like what we have now.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: February 14, 2019, 09:41:07 PM
this issue is somewhat interesting. For example, if a people entered the crypto market 1 year ago  The bitcoin he bought for $ 20,000 is now $ 3500. in altcoins, the coin that he bought for $ 2,000 may have been reduced to $ 50. and this really hurts the inside.
Even those that bought at 20000 could still get profits by waiting for a new bull market and even if the new bull market was not as big as the last one they could average down the price they paid for their coins by buying more coins now when the price is cheap, so he is not wrong, however it is better to buy for the first time when the market is like this than when it is skyrocketing.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will the Bear Market End? on: February 12, 2019, 11:23:06 PM
This is something I would like to know but it is impossible for me to answer that question, my only option is to keep holding my bitcoin and buy it whenever I have some cash to spare, I know that we are all tired of waiting but if some of the predictions of some of the users of the forum are true we will need to wait for months or even a full year before the bear market is over.
