Some of the most decentralized exchanges are bisq and hodlhodl.
If an exchange is decentralized but makes money off of the decentralized exchange transactions, is there an element of centralization for the exchange itself, if the addresses that collect the profits made, can be traced and the people behind those addresses are then leaned on to the point that they take down the exchange to avoid the wrath they face? I am not sure exactly how many of them work as far as being paid from the decentralized exchange transactions that take place on those exchange websites.

Blockstream Green is a simple and secure Bitcoin wallet
As attacks are made on crypto stuff in the coming months, only the most decentralized wallets will survive. These wallets can not be identified as being controlled by any identifiable group of people..... who can be leaned on by the attackers. I believe EXODUS will lose massive amounts of people in the years to come as it is not a decentralized wallet anymore....

Some crypto holders are above 60 years old, and their memories are not as good as they used to be, so they are more inclined to forget versus the younger bunch of crypto users.
If the older bunch are tempted to write down their crypto details inside of their computers on a notepad, then they are putting their crypto holdings in danger.
There are solutions though.....

Please do not limit your responses only to Bitcoin.
As crypto crackdown grows stronger the world over, only the most decentralized wallets and exchanges will survive in a state of freedom.
I would like to see a list made of the most decentralized wallets and the most decentralized exchanges that have the best chance of surviving in a state of freedom in the months to come.
I am sure that many will enjoy and benefit from this thread.
Thank you for your responses.

It is in June 2020, one year ago. When I firstly look at the link, I thought it is June 2021. So the news is very very old and does not bring anything new.
Furthermore, I failed to find any mention about XLM in the report.
Thanks for your reply and attempt to express your concerns. My intention was not to bring something "new" that only was printed recently, but only to reveal insight from the past that people may or may not have known about before. I also did not say that XLM was directly mentioned but only by possible indirect involvement with XLM through Corda was it in my mind that the IMF would like the project XLM. Here are the words that I wrote about that: "Corda is mentioned which encompasses the big 4 which are XLM, XRP, ALGO, and XDC (XinFin)." So you can see I was not saying that the IMF mentioned XLM directly. Again, thank you for your attempt to express your concerns constructively.

Back in the earlier years of Stellar, I have been given around 30k of XLM for free and I lost my wallet. So much regret on that but I have learned to really keep my wallet safe and nowadays these wallets are really cool and easy to use. Great innovation for Stellar in my opinion. I have since moved on because I have still profited and gained on some altcoins I had and still continue to seek and invest in this blockchain technology.
Sorry to hear about your loss, but glad that you handled the loss well. IMF - International Monetary Fund likes XLM This IMF PDF document from the International Monetary Fund mentions several projects at the end. Corda is mentioned which encompasses the big 4 which are XLM, XRP, ALGO, and XDC (XinFin). The cryptos Zilliqa and Ethereum are mentioned also. Look at the 24 hour BCN purchase amount on gate.io. I have been watching this for a long time, and someone, or even more than one person perhaps, has been willing to pay a price for BCN that has been around three times the price you can get BCN for on other exchanges. Now I see this buyer or these buyers are willing to pay up to four times the price on gate.io that you can get it for on other exchanges. Just look at this page: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bytecoin#marketsWhoever is buying must have real faith in the future of BCN and perhaps they are going to use it within their particular "ecosystem". Perhaps they realize that privacy will disappear for many crypto holders in the future and BCN will be a crypto that will still retain its privacy for owners of this BCN crypto? Very interesting !!!

Most will be surprised to hear that I am watching Bytecoin and I have not purchased any yet. I offered to ask questions on here for some people on a very private forum, and so you see me asking questions for one of those people on this thread.
What will make me interested in buying Bytecoin someday?
SHOCKING REVELATION OF WHAT I AM WAITING TO SEE:
When the world starts to move to a blockchain system for their currency, and privacy coins are outlawed, then those coins whose developers and admins are exposing their identity to others via a website, will be attacked by the powers that be, and those coins will go down in price and may even fold up as the admins and developers come under threats by the powers that be.
The privacy coins whose admins keep themselves anonymous, will go up in price because they will still survive.
Bytecoin is one that stands out to me as a privacy coin that will survive while other privacy coins will be attacked and fold up.
The worse thing for Bytecoin admins and developers to do is to change it's anonymous policy concerning the identity of the BCN admins and developers. That would be a big mistake.
Bytecoin will be very huge in the future as long as the BCN admins and developers keep themselves very anonymous.
If I see BCN developers and admins maintaining their anonymity when the privacy coins are attacked, then I will have the greatest incentive to buy.
AMEN.
P.S. Those who are now getting in ahead of all those who will later pile into BCN, will have the greatest financial return on their decision. IMHO. I am not a financial advisor so I am not giving any recommendations to anyone. Just giving my opinion.

Just stay away. Don't waste your time. Like most of you, i was holding some bytecoins "just in case". Today, my wallet is empty for no reason. 18.000 just gone
Your solution: Stop using: https://bytecoin.money/ and take "money" out of the URL and replace it with "one" and your coins should appear. I kept about 500,000 BCN in my wallet( https://bytecoin.money/). And now the number 0 is on my balance sheet by itself! Dear developers, I ask you to return BCN coins back to balance! Are you not ashamed to engage in theft? Shameful! If you are carrying out technical work, write about it on the site. Don't forget that your photos are available on the site. And the police can easily find you and bring you to justice if you try to steal from us.Remember this even before going to bed. Your solution: Stop using: https://bytecoin.money/ and take "money" out of the URL and replace it with "one" and your coins should appear.

GOOD NEWS UPDATE: I was in contact with my friend the other day who thought his Bytecoins were stolen by one of the Bytecoin developers because his coins were missing from his wallet and he checked it more than once as I remember his report to me, but just the other day, he decided to look again using the new web wallet app, and all of the Bytecoins were in his wallet and nothing was missing. He is very happy and wanted me to update you. You can see the date when I first reported the missing Bytecoin below. But now all his Bytecoin is there in the web wallet. He told me he is in the process of downloading the desktop wallet so he can obtain a private key so he has sovereignty over his Bytecoins. Dear BCN community,
Is BCN still has future? I have to buy or sell it. Please recommend to me. Thank you.
I would stay away from it. Why? I was contacted by a friend I trust who told me how his BCN disappeared from the online web wallet he was using. It was very apparently an inside job and he could not trace where the BCN was moved to as the BCN explorer does not allow that for privacy purposes. So he could not report it to expect any meaningful results. That web wallet is apparently made by the same head developers who developed the coin as it is an official wallet found on the BCN website. Do you really want to be a part of something like this? Look at the top of this thread and you can find this warning: "Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they strongly believe that the creator of this topic is a scammer. (Check their trust page to see the detailed trust ratings.) While the bitcointalk.org administration does not verify such claims, you should proceed with extreme caution."My trusted contact got scammed, and I wiil never ever buy this coin because of his experience with it.

In order to help other newbies in the future, would it be too much for someone to edit the message to read: "This payment invoice expires in ...... hours."
That way, Poloniex will not scare others when they tell people not to use an expiring address. I think that it is impossible for an address to expire anyway, don't you? But newbies do not know that.

Someone with whom I am in contact, and is not a member here, asked me to ask this question on the forum here and get an answer that will solve it for him:
He generated a new address in his Electrum wallet about 12 hours ago and then went to his Poloniex account and requested a BTC transfer to that address not knowing that Poloniex is now taking up to 24 hours to process withdrawal transactions.
So after he clicks on receive on his Electrum wallet, he sees what is in his wallet, and also a pending transaction is showing. I understand from what he wrote to me that the Electrum wallet gives him a message that the address or payment request ( he made about 12 hours ago ) expires in about 12 hours.
When he investigated withdrawal problems at Poloniex they tell their members not to use expiring addresses as the funds could be lost. But he did not want to create an expiring address with Electrum and he did not know that Poloniex can take up to 24 hours to process withdrawals.
Is this person standing in deep horse crap by being in danger of losing the BTC that may not be sent in time to his expiring electrum BTC address?
Do electrum addresses expire and the BTC sent to them after 24 hours is lost?
What can I tell him so he can act in time and save his BTC if need be?
Thank you.

The Power of Stellar Stellar is an open, interoperable payment and currency system. Below, we explain a few of Stellar's powerful features—asset issuance, the network’s distributed order books, and the path-payments system—that will enhance and simplify any fintech product. Stellar Lumens On Stellar, you can issue your own assets Stellar allows a user to create a redeemable, tradable representation of any asset. Such representations are called tokens. Tokens are most useful when tied to currencies (representing dollars or yuan or euros digitally makes payments borderless and instant) but in theory, on Stellar, you could issue a token for corn bushels or gold or shares of a REIT or an hour of your time as a consultant. In a sense, Stellar offers a generalized toolkit for anyone to do what Tether did for the Dollar with their USDT, or what Coinbase is doing with their USDC. Stellar lets you digitize value and then issue and redeem claims on it; the platform was designed for stablecoins before stablecoin was even a word. ....tokenization is a fundamental part of the network, so the supporting code is tested and fast. The ability to issue and redeem assets is one of Stellar’s most powerful features. It means that all asset types can take advantage of Stellar’s global reach, near instant transaction times, and ultra-low costs. You can get started in just a few simple steps. Today is August 5th. Can you give us an update about how this all went? Something encouraging you can share?

So what happened during this hard fork? If a person had their coins in the GUI desktop wallet, what should they do to adjust or to gain or to prepare for what already happened? Another coin came from this fork? Please do not spare any details to unfold what a person should do. Thanks.
