201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpushack.com review, received a 139 USD mothercard for 359 USD... on: June 22, 2017, 06:04:02 PM
It seems I only received a MOBO and CPU, at MyUS it doesn't show anything else in my dashboard at the moment. I hope they just forgot to add those items to my dashboard because I don't have yet RAM nor USB with EthOS. I was very surprised to see only MOBO and CPU, but concerning this issue I'm waiting to see if the problem was MyUS who forgot to add the items or not.

Also you forgot that those are MSRP prices, the margin is made by buying those items from the brand directly.

At 139 MSRP they still make a good margin, or nobody would be selling this stuff.

The main point here is, you paid for the expertise and convenience of that company putting that bundle together. By no means is it a ripoff, seems a very fair value to me for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1050 TI 4GB on: June 22, 2017, 05:54:02 PM
i googled but i didn't found smart ass.only found for the 2gb one

Search the forum dildo.... an entire thread where one guy is getting 14.8 mhs with OC...

I swear some of you people need a reality check and a cold glass of water to the face.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100 on: June 22, 2017, 05:50:15 PM
I might as well report on my findings here for the Radeon™ Pro WX 5100 card since I seriously doubt anyone else will. It is a 4th gen GCN polaris card with 1792 cores and 8GB memory with a 75 watt TDP (no external power). Essentially an underclocked RX 565 if there ever was one.

Stock clocks were fairly horrid, as seen in the image. The only redeeming factor being Samsung memory. I had to heavily OC the memory to get any decent result. Anything past 1900 mhz resulted in decreased performance and it crashed at 1990 mhz.

When I attempted to dual mine (Eth + SIA) after getting the clocks in the sweet spot the card just wasn't having it.

Best I could do was 16.4 mhs Eth and 460 mhs for Sia, it was forcing the card to draw too much power and the clocks were throttling hard down to like 750-850 mhz. It was also at 89 C dual mining.

Changed over to Eth only and got a much better 21 mhs with a stable 79 C and clocks around 1173 mhz. Power was hovering around 75-82 watts , the other card is an RX560 with a maxed out memory OC.

It is absolutely not a card built for sustained heavy load but it does manage and gets the job done decently. For my $250 I dont think I did bad, will mine with it and resell for more at a later time.

If you somehow get these for super cheap(less than $200) then its an instant buy

On paper it doesn't seem like a bad card. 1792 stream processors is like china's Rx 470D, a slightly cut down 470 and it has 8gb ram too. I think the problem is 75W tdp limit, it is limited by power draw, not core or memory. Have you tried severe undervolt or raising power limit? Eth only mining should increase hash also.

1000mhz clock, 1850 memory, 800mv. Use 1425 or 1500 straps.

Ill look into it later today but ill have to try and undervolt, raising the power limit is useless as its already at that 75 watt limit at default. Eth only mining does increase hash from 16 to 21.

undervolting and memory straps may yield excellent results. Still, you can tell its really struggling in that 75 watt power envelope.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpushack.com review, received a 139 USD mothercard for 359 USD... on: June 22, 2017, 05:40:52 PM
It's also up to him to let this topic online or to take it down, it will soon be on Google and in the first results for gpushack.com review.
What I stated is true, he is the one listing at 359 USD a pack that is worth no more than 200 USD.
This is a review of my purchase, nothing else. Future buyers when doing due dilligence will see this topic and decide to buy somewhere else.

Also I should be able to cancel an order if i'm unhappy with it, buyer protection should exist on internet too.

Entitled fucking prick, where do you get off DEMANDING they sell products at COST to you? THE POINT OF A BUSINESS IS TO MAKE A PROFIT!!!

If the service/goods they sell perform as advertised HOW can you possibly complain? Of course they are going to use the cheapest mobo capable of 8 cards.... why would you waste money on more expensive boards that offer NO tangible benefit?Huh

Simple facts here, you wanted a plug n play setup that was guaranteed to work, you PAID for the PRIVILEGE. Could it have been done cheaper? Sure, but you would have had to do actual work, I know, you're probably allergic or adverse to that....

How is it only worth $200?

Mobo - $139

Eth OS flash drive - $40, Eth OS does cost $40 a license you know.... a cheap flash drive has nothing to do with it.

RAM - 4 GB - $30

G3930 - $42

Total = $251 and thats not counting the free shipping which I promise you cost at least $10 bare minimum, closer to $20 more likely.

So $261-271 BARE MINIMUM.

I dont give a fuck about "gpu shack" but as someone who runs a small business, I would tell you to go fuck yourself in NO uncertain words. Especially with that negative review extortion BS that you implied above.

And you wonder why they dont answer your emails.... I still cant believe the attitude you have. Simply unreal.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I use 2 GB RAM CPU for mining altcoin ? on: June 22, 2017, 07:25:57 AM
ofc u can, but will it be profitable? Not sure, u should remembe about electricity

No. I think he means using 4GB cards but the CPU only have 2GB RAM. Anyone do this?

Yup, I bought some Zotac AMD E-350 boards to mess around with and they came with 2 GB ram (bundled separately).

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500068

Installed windows 10 on a 1 TB 5400 RPM laptop drive and it works great for mining Zcash. Slowest windows 10 computer I have ever used but it has Zero issues. 110 watt draw at the outlet with a Radeon 7850 2GB GPU mining Zcash. Will try an RX 560 tomorrow and my WX 5100 for Eth. Likely to see less than 90 watts total for 21 mhs on that WX 5100.

I bought a mini PCIe riser to try that slot with the wifi chip and also have a 1x to 3 (1x) riser coming in. Its a shot in the dark but I wanted to see if I can run 2, 3 maybe even 4 cards off one board. Really doubt it but never hurts to try.

Super efficient and passively cooled, makes a great mini mining rig. CPU is pentium 4 tier in power but its enough to get the job done, a small SSD would be best for it though.

You can get one for $20 and use whatever old hard drive/ssd/flashdrive and power supply you have laying around. RAM on ebay is like $5 for 2 GB shipped or $7-10 for 4 Gb.  Has USB 3.0/eSata (not that it really matters) and wifi which is nice.

RMi1000 is great, so is Rmi850.

I have 6 GTX 1060 dual mining Eth + Sia on an Rmi850 and it shows 880 watt draw from the wall and 778 out.

I run it near max because it can take it and it is financially beneficial (rather than pay an additional $40-50).
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Biostar TB85 MoBO on: June 20, 2017, 08:43:47 PM

209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 20, 2017, 07:38:17 PM
I just sold all 7 (all 4 Gb models) of my 470/480/570/580 for right over $400 each on average. Managed to nab 7 GTX 1070 fo $399.99 each (or less) in the past few days.

Feels damn good. Free upgrades all around.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Melted Molex/Sata Adapter Riser...Is My Setup Safe? on: June 19, 2017, 11:36:03 PM
Sooooo did i just buy these for no reason and just to put my UPS driver to work?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N3UVJHM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Bad purchase?

I dont see the problem, just directly hook your power supply molex to the molex on the risers....

Ethereum will go PoS eventually, losing a few percent is not a big deal. Those Polaris chips will continue to be great for any other crypto.

Its not a few percent.... after some months people will feel the pain. The main point is, RX cards are not sustainable(over the next 6 months) for mining now. Its a fact at this point, confirmed by claymore.

Calm down my people claymore just analysed the situation(today quick peek), he ill figure something out

you can also mine Musicoin and set auto exchange to eth in bittrex for example,

You can mine expanse, you can mine ubiq,

stop talking no sense shit like polaris is dead

my 480s ill aways be better them the shit 1060 in dual mining, even on dag 4248328946324632

No, he said it CAN NOT BE FIXED.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.msg19652577#msg19652577

Your 480's will NOT be better than 1060's a few months down the road. You'll be left holding the bag if you hang on to those 480's. Actually I prefer you hold on to them. Dont sell them, you're right. You'll have no issues at all.  Grin

"I see the speed drop. I checked possible workarounds, at least for Polaris, they failed. So probably this hashrate drop cannot be fixed, at least on miner software level."

When he says THEY, he reffer to minergate, and he says probably, so how you are so certain about that?

I dont know what you are smoking but he is 100% saying he personally checked for workarounds: "I checked possible workarounds"

Then goes on to say "So probably this hashrate drop cannot be fixed, at least on miner software level"

Its all there in plain text. Deal with it, Rx cards will be shit for mining over the next 6 months.

Check eBay people are offloading RX cards in droves, "barely used" "tested for 2 weeks" BS but we all know they were mining cards.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 IN STOCK on: June 19, 2017, 10:05:01 PM
Biostar TB85 and TB250 are in stock right now on Newegg, $85 and $89 eac, limit of 1 per customer --- act fast they will be gone soon I am 100% positive.

Bought both and had roommate buy both.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1050ti Ethereum Mining Rig on: June 19, 2017, 09:19:58 PM
Could you please run the claymore miner benchmark up to DAG 180-190? Wondering if these 1050 ti will be the same as 1060's (wont loose hashrate over time).

All the RX cards have this issue but so far no pascal cards seem too.

It`s the Rx 470,480,570,580 4GB GPU`S that will be affected not the 8GB versions.

Wrong, 8GB versions are affect all the same. Better start selling your AMD cards for max profit and switch over to Nvidia, which doesn't have any issue.

Check the top comment : https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6i1ulz/incoming_hashrate_drop_for_rx_400_and_500_cards/

Wrong, both are affected but more so the 4gb polaris cards

You're precious 8GB isn't saving you now. 100% wasted money.

Why are you all so obsessed with Ethereum, there is Zcash too which is soaring and I have switched my mining boards from Ethereum to Zcash and I am very happy with such move. Each board have 5 RX 480 Gpu-s from Sapphire with a bit of overclock I am reaching 335 Sols for a card and I making a good amount of money. I don't think this will stop for at least a good few months.

Its the giant in the room, if every with RX cards switches to Zcash what do you think will happen? It will be far less profitable than it is now....

Point is, Nvidia cards are now king for crypto. Claymore himself just said he could do nothing software wise to stop the eventual decline of the RX cards.

If you want 1070's you buy them TODAY. Ive already sold what little I had a 480/470/580/570 and got a nearly free upgrade to 1070's.

It feels pretty damn good to be justified in buying 10's of 1060s. recently too. Soon we will see 1050tis dry up as well. Some of those are capable of 15 mhs with samsung memory at +1000.

Ive always been for team green, AMD is trash and always will be. I should have never bought those RX cards.

... it seems you all donīt get it:

You canīt escape the difficulty bomb !

Do your own research or cry later !

 Cool

This has nothing to do with the diff bomb. This has to do with the hardware architecture of the cards. The reason it started now is because DAG size is over 2GB. In a simplified manner, you could see it as part of DAG now physically ending up on a different IC. This causes the memory controller to switch the IC it reads from more often. The larger the DAG, the bigger the part of the DAG that ends up on a different IC, the more switching it has to do.

Hats off to AMD for making trash cards once again.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting a mining business on: June 19, 2017, 07:43:31 AM
I have a lot of people that want to invest in mining rigs in my city, over 20 people.
I am looking for someone that has lots of experience in mining, that can help me with the parts and everything.
Would this also be profitable for the clients? Since ETH will be turning to POS and mining might not be as profitable.

Here's the thing, how are your morals/ethics? You can build these rigs and people will buy them because they want their "slice of the pie". Some of them may become jaded after awhile especially if they see they are hardly making their money back over the next 6 months.

I dunno, just make sure you let them know that this is a very volatile thing and that no success can be guaranteed.

I'd use 1060s and 1070s before they too get gone. RX cards are a very bad choice at this time. They are NOT future proof in either 4 or 8 gg capacity. Nvidia cards are future proof provided you buy 6GB 1060s
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 19, 2017, 07:14:13 AM
Im selling my 480's and 580's for 1070s! $400 each easy on eBay, and an excellent upgrade.
