I hope you started upon posting this because I'm sure you would now have much more than 100-200 with the bitcoin price rises, but certainly if not it is still possible, you can participate in signature campaigns for starters which will probably net you about the amount that you stated. |

Bitcoin is still the number one, the highest potential for large gains will be some small coin no one has really heard of right now. I would put ethereum high up on a list of coins to invest in for 2018, I think its growth in % terms will be greater in 2018 than that of bitcoin.

Keep spending the same amount you were. The USD value is the same, just see the bitcoins you purchased at a cheaper price as "discounted coins".. You just have to think that in X years, what you're buying now will seem very cheap in comparison to the actual price.
Definitely the way to look at it if you are determined to invest in bitcoin, yes you may not see the same returns on your later investments but you can still profit as well as the fact you will not lose your earliest investments and the great returns you enjoyed on them. |

I would be surprised is SIA does not pump again at some point in the future, I feel it is just too cheap right now and that a pump will definitely occur in the coming months, I am not so sure we will see previous highs any time in the next 6 months or so however.

My personal opinion would be to try and mine coins that have a lot of potential and profit greatly that way, perhaps mine some stable profitable coins along side that to cover costs. But really it all depends on each persons preference, for me I'd like to grow rich from crypto instead of just earn a nice amount passively.

The nice thing with speculation threads is no one can tell you you are right or wrong, I suspect you will be wrong but if in a years time you are right I will come back here and congratulate you myself, one thing I can see happening is ethereum surpassing bitcoin as no 1 market cap.

Segwit2x is definitely having an effect on the price, but i can't help but feel that there is some other reason that we are all missing, I guess all the new publicity also helps attract many new investors.

I decided to invest around 2400$ for a long term investment in BTC but the price is currently high. Should I buy now or I wait for the fork when price probably go down ? (I will invest in etoro so no exta coins will be obtained after the fork)
If you will not receive the potential free coins from the fork then definitely I would advise to wait until after the fork, there is a high probability the price will fall before that date. Perhaps you could invest before and sell again before the fork and rebuy after but that opens you up to potential volatility. |

I think that the highest price we might reach before 2018 begins is about 8200 usd, I suspect that the bullish run will slow down and perhaps there will be some minor step backs, I do not think it will be long until we see 10k breached however. |

While some say bitcoin is freedom and others are saying not, I really think Bitcoin is one way of saying that they have financial freedom. But as long as Bitcoin is used accordingly to what its purpose is then I think it will give you freedom.
This to me is the freedom I hope to achieve from bitcoin - financial freedom. So many are now liberated and secure in their lifestyles because of bitcoin, I too would like to be able to say the same at some point in the near future. |

There is no 'good' amount of btc to buy because it depends entirely on each individual, always people shouldn't invest all of their money in to bitcoin. A time horizon of a week is really not wise, bitcoin should be an investment for months, years, decades, not weeks.

When do you think one can start invest in altcoins? Due to strengthening of bitcoin almost all altcoins are crashing, is it good or bad for cryptocurrency?
Any growth of cryptos is good, irrespective if it is in to bitcoin or altcoins because eventually the money will spread out across them but initially it is hardest to get new investment, this is where bitcoin is currently doing very well for cryptos. I would say now is a good time to invest in alts, I feel they are near to their bottom price. |

We will see a massive slump. Current demand is only due to hard fork. Over the past weeks billions of capital have been transferred from altcoins to Bitcoins. ( https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/) Main reasons for slump: 1. Capital will be transferred back to altcoin markets after fork (happened after every fork) 2. Investors cash out profits 3. No short-term demand, as rate reached all-time high and there are no forks or other big events in the near future Agreed, it is the thoughts of myself and many others that the bullish mood is currently because of the previous fork and now the upcoming fork, once they are both out the way there will likely be a downturn in bitcoin price. |

I don't think you will ever find such a study but it is not too hard to figure out, mining generates bitcoin whereas holding simply grows the value of your bitcoin, therefore if you mine and hold you will always generate more than if you just hold.

Indeed I really know about this, because I am included the citizens in this country. But I don't think this can reduce bitcoiners in Indonesian, even still many miners from Indonesian are still doing mining and not only that.. many investors are still investing in bitcoin. Indeed bitcoin is banned to be used as a method of payment, but doesn't banned to buy or sell it to local currency, of course I think this is not so very influential on bitcoin price.
It is interesting that they would only ban it as a means of payment, it seems as if they are okay with bitcoin as long as it does not undermine their own currency. |

It really depends on the level of hoarding and the level of usage, there has to be a balance between use and hoarding so that bitcoin has a true value, if this is the case then hoarding is no problem, it would be nice in future to see some system whereby bitcoin is recycled, by this I mean something alike to a bitcoin bank.

It certainly seems like Binance and especially Kucoin are the hot topic right now in terms of exchanges, though given some time I expect to see a decentralised exchange really begin to dominate the market in the coming years.
