201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 16, 2020, 06:28:50 AM
We already have many good estabilished coins that constantly developed their product, they have much more developers and bigger fund then start-ups so why you still think that these start-ups could win?  Wink
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV, A Game Changer? on: January 15, 2020, 07:49:35 PM
In few days Craig Wright should prove that he is a real owner of Satoshiīs address, this is the reason behind recent growth of Bitcoin SV. But do not expect much, he canīt prove it. Maybe he will prove it on Bitcoin SV network, but this will only show that he manipulated the whole Bitcoin SV network. Stay away from it, Satoshi was never as agressive as Craig Wright is with his statements.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Warren Buffet build wealth by investing? on: January 12, 2020, 04:58:35 PM
He invested mainly into stocks and he hold stocks for a long time. Now he see how big opportunity he missed, so he called cryptocurrencies a fraud. And stock market is not a fraud? Not pumped by money created by FED and other commercial banks?
You can follow his ideas in something what he is doing, in what he is good, in what he understands. But, do not trust everything what he says, he defends his interests.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: War affects the Entire Cryptocurrency? on: January 11, 2020, 09:23:34 PM
Panic and fear of possible war caused pumps on gold, oil and shares that represent arms industry. Bitcoin followed this trend and from this move we can expect that Bitcoin will behave the same way also in next big economic crysis. People will move into gold, precious metal, oil and Bitcoin, in every rare thing to protect against huge inflation that is connected to economic crysis.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Staking WAR has begun, who is wining it? on: January 09, 2020, 08:48:38 PM
I see big risk with growing Binanceīs power. Binance is going to be the biggest crypto platform for everything connected to crypto. Wallet, exchange, staking, margin trading, lending, ICO investing, token creating. Is that really good? Do you know that we are fighting against authorities and now we support Binance to create a big crypto giant for every crypto needs?
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: January 07, 2020, 09:06:13 PM
I am mining Pi for about 2 months and still the only function of the app is a bottom where you click on mining and thatīs all. No use case for the token, no exchange listing, so why we should use the app?
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 05, 2020, 07:52:58 PM
We do not need to find next big thing. Blockchain is already the revolutionary technology for digital finances, digital identity and digital property and what is the best? The technology is decentralized and immutable. We do not need to apply blockchain technology for everything as many startups think.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: January 04, 2020, 03:41:04 PM
If I were to be anticipating an extended bear market, I'd rather just take the fees of converting my crypto to fiat money and keep that fiat money until I see market conditions improving and convert it back to cryptocurrencies later. One main advantage that stablecoins have is that they can be traded just like fiat dollars but without the string attached with trading with fiat, which is partly why so many traders use stablecoins, but you lose that when you're keeping the stablecoin for an extended period of time.

I also see most stablecoins as being slightly risky even though they might claim to be extremely safe and secure, especially Tether. I don't use Tether, I don't plan on ever using it, and I certainly won't be holding it.

Check Monero Dollar (#xmrd) is a secure, private, untraceable Stablecoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5214640.msg53512987#msg53512987

But when it is private and untraceable how do you assure that price will be stable? How it is backed? How we can verify that someone is not cheating?
I do not think that stable coin could be anonymous, even decentralized stable coin is a problem to control the stability.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: January 01, 2020, 10:43:52 PM
But even you hold stable coins you are in a risk.
At first, when you hold centralized stable coin like Tether, you never know if everything is okay with the company. What happen if regulations come. When you hold decentralized stable coin, you never know if the coin be stable in the future.
Secondly, you risk that price of cryptocurrencies will grow dramatically and you loose the potential profit.  Wink
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 31, 2019, 12:03:24 PM
I pray for the world where I donīt have to trust the other side with I do the business. Blockchain ans smart-contracts made a real revolution in it, but we are still far away from trust-less protocol, right?
And what about other blockchains, am I understand correctly that Cardanoīs network will be more strong against hackers due to its unique coding?
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 29, 2019, 09:43:39 AM
I've been hearing this lately but it seems that the explanations here made me understand it quickly.
You give Ethereum tokens as a collateral - locked in smart contract and for this you will get loan in DAI tokens (USD stable coin). So you can buy more Ethereum tokens with these DAIs. If Ethereum grows, you are in a bigger profit, but if Ethereum falls, the situation is worse for you.  Cheesy
If this how its system works, it's almost the same as leveraging in bitmex right?
Yes, pretty similiar, here you lend coins from Bitmex (traders).
This is a decentralized way how to leverage your position. Also there is a way how to hedge your position, good for miners for example, that want to secure their profits.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 28, 2019, 11:59:33 AM
Obviously I am not interested in p2p financial systems like this. But the subject you mentioned at the end is intriguing to me. Is the amount you give them as a collateral is calculated with the value in USD? So if you keep the $1000 ETH in your wallet, will not you earn more? Moreover, there is always a greater chance that such systems are scam. That is why, whatever you do, always consider your safety as the most important factor.

213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 26, 2019, 09:40:51 PM
Nothing in this crypto world i 100% safe! Especially those p2p lending platforms who are offering interest to the depositors. Smart contract doesn't really play any role in securing your money!

These kinds of business functions on percentage difference similar to the banks but they are more prone to market risks because they don't have backup from the venture capitals or any similar organizations. So if you are looking to earn some passive income, be very very cautious!
And that is problem, I thought that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is said to be trustless protocol and it should be. But maybe the problem is that cryptocurrencies are still pretty young and not tested enough against various bugs or hacks. Maybe after few years we will be able to finally say that cryptocurrencies and smart-contracts are safe. I pray for this future without any intermediary.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 24, 2019, 01:31:08 PM
Hello, I just learned something about DeFi, I would like to know your opinion about that. I am talking about MakerDao or Synthetix for example.

It is really 100% safe as it claims? It should be protected by smart-contract, but who knows if it is 100% without a bug? The problem is that you canīt reverse the tranaction when it happens and investors will loose their money. It looks like a good alternative how to leverage or hedge your position.I think that now it is the best time to learn something about it because you can easily grow your portfolio thanks to secured loans (it is not so likely that the Ethereum will fall by more than 50% to endanger your leverage position). Those who do not know anything about it, here is a good example: you can lock for example 1000USD in ETH to the DeFi smart contract and you will get loan worth 500USD (in Dai tokens), you buy more Ethereum and when price goes up, you will need to pay only 500USD to unlock your Ethers.

Also there were some DeFis that didnīt survive for example NuBits. Do you know about others one successful or unsuccessful?
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Peak = $ 1,432.99 USD (Jan 13 2018) on: December 22, 2019, 05:33:19 PM
In your opinion, does the founder of Ethereum (Vitalik) still have tens of thousands of personal ETH?
I have read an article about Ethereum for $ 1,432.99 USD (13 Jan 2018) and in a written statement that (Vitalik) sold 30,000 of his personal ETH at the same time. but I forgot the link.

BTW, for example (Vitalik) still has tens of thousands of ETH or hasn't sold all of its assets at the time, so I think Ethereum still has a big chance to reach the highest price again.
how about your mind?
It could be a sign that Vitalik believes that price will be much higher in the future. While Charles Lee sold all of his LTCs at peak and from this point LTC is continously falling, Vitalik didnīt sell anything. Maybe he is rich enough and do not need to sell ETHs, but more likely is that he knows more than us, just like Charles Lee.  Wink
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese City Warns Investors: Crypto Isn’t Blockchain on: December 21, 2019, 05:38:26 PM
Do not believe Chinese. They are trying to tarnish the name of the cryptocurrency and then they promote their digital yuan as the better solution. It is betetr? it is not, it only alows Chinese goverment to track every move which is made by the Chinese people. The spy state wants to keep everything under control.  Roll Eyes
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized way how to earn interest on Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2019, 12:38:09 PM
Thank you for every reply, I just only wanted know if it is possible, probably not, you only need to risk something to gain something right?
Also lending on platforms like Binance, Bitfinex or Nexo are not risk-free, right?
So I continue hold my Bitcoins in my wallet, rather than loose them on some exchange or platform.  Wink
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized way how to earn interest on Bitcoin? on: December 16, 2019, 01:43:21 PM
And what about lending through a smart contract? For example I will lend my Bitcoin to someone, but I will be sure of maturity through a smart-contract. Something like this also doesnīt exist?  Smiley
I am not educated in this industry, but I thought that something similiar is DeFi on Ethereum blockchain, isnīt it?
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Decentralized way how to earn interest on Bitcoin? on: December 15, 2019, 08:39:43 PM
Hi guys, please, I would like to do something with my Bitcoins that that lie in my hardware-wallet.
Do you know about some decentralized way how to earn interest? I mean for example by using smart-contract? That Bitcoins will not leave my wallet and I will still earn interest?
I know that custody services like Cobo wallet or Binance offer that, but there is a risk connected to the centralization, you know.  Roll Eyes
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges that offers staking service on: December 14, 2019, 10:42:35 PM
So Kucoin and Binance looks like the best solution for holding and staking many diffrent altcoins.
But be careful, it is an easy solution how to store your cryptocurrencies on one place, but we know that all exchanges are vulnerable against the hack attack.
Maybe the future is in a decentralized (not custody) multi staking wallet?  Cool
