You obviously are not familiar with Bitcoinmegastore. It's his one hobby..

Yeah....I found that out after arguing with him for a bit.....

anyways any updates sensei??? I saw that you got moved up to the best ROI on that chart that compares all the asics.

I didn't even know about that chart until yesterday.

Yea a lot of the info still is wrong but hey can't complain about being #1 right?

It would be nice if my issue could be resolved because I am not able to sign up for other accounts  Embarrassed
Also an update at the end of every day to say what the max amount someone is up to would be nice.
Thanks for this fun competition by the way...the site is actually really easy to use.

Curious, how will the winner be determined?
USD or BTC?

It's the usd of the converted currencies at the time

https://beta.kraken.com/signup

hmmm....for me it is still down....can someone on the kraken side check to see if I got blacklisted or something??? I don't want to be at a disadvantage for this competition. added a timestamp http://imgur.com/bUSMSy8

Now I am getting a rate limit exceeded error
206  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [CONTEST] KRAKEN.COM - 1 Week Trial Mode Top Trader Tournament - 10 BTC Prize on: June 17, 2013, 08:22:32 PM

What do you mean??

If you want to sell btc at a dollar a piece go right ahead. Mt Gox doesn't get cases like this because people are dealing with real assets while we have monopoly money. Here you can get the equivalent of about 15k by pressing a few buttons. The real market isn't like that.

It's play money. Let's have fun while we can!  Smiley

It's play money but that does not detract from the fact that this is a competition with 10btc at stake.
207  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [CONTEST] KRAKEN.COM - 1 Week Trial Mode Top Trader Tournament - 10 BTC Prize on: June 17, 2013, 07:50:05 PM
Whoo! Market Manipulation!
Just sold some BTC at $1 a piece!  Who's gonna get it?
 Smiley
Just curious, how does Mt. Gox prevent this?
Or is it just that we are more careless with our play money?

Yup.  That's part of the game.

Ok but are the signups now disabled for good? I would highly suggest you make the market data from gox because this isnt a competition of who can trade the best but who can manipulate this puny market the best.

No, signups are not disabled.  You can create as many accounts as you want.  Not sure how being a good trader and market manipulator are mutually exclusive.  Even within a mature market, you'd want to do both to the extent possible.

http://imgur.com/JbM4QSr Signups are down

With this immature market I can create a new account and buy out all of the sell orders until I get to mine and basically fund my first account with a couple of accounts to take out the sell walls since their isn't that many users. If this was actual trading people wouldn't waste new money to garuntee one of their accounts a portion of that money. It would be a net loss on all accounts except for the one.

Also you never answered my questions about a 1 btc fee I had earlier in the thread...can you look at that?

disabling mtgox data was extremely stupid

Because?

do i really need to explain this ?

because the low of price went to 30 that means your contest is pointless if one make dozens of account push the price down and go long at 30 then maker a push up to 150

Yea this guy has a point. With a little work someone could manipulate this market so easily because it's so few people in it and in the process take all three prizes.

Also I was jut getting used to all the trading by using another account and I tried selling all my xrp for a bitcoin and I did but there was a fee of 1 bitcoin on that transfer? http://imgur.com/a/om8gg

Is that intended?

213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 16, 2013, 02:37:01 PM

Thanks...I can put up a small bounty to try to get people to design a really cool one. Is that okay with you?
I'm ok with that but I don't want to get too distracted with it myself. I'm quite fine with the one Laserhorse made up above - though I forgot to reply, Thank You Laserhorse. At least I don't have to worry about infringing anyone's copyright - assuming Laserhorse states it's CC license or public domain. I like the simplicity and if nothing strikingly better pops up I'll update the Kicad library with it.

Keep in mind it needs to be simple enough to show monochrome on a PCB.

I somehow didn't even see laserhorse's...I guess that one works perfect. Alright well I'm off to make stencils to start customizing my Rpi and cases and such. Thanks again for the help.
214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 16, 2013, 01:57:53 PM
This might be a weird question but whatever. On the k1 miner board photos you linked, is that the official klondike miner logo that is on the boards? If so can you link me to an image of the logo itself? I am wanting to customize my cases a bit.

Thanks in advance
It is the logo but I'm not sure I'd call it official. I just found it on google images and decided it was fitting and it'd be nice for a graphic on the board. There could be someone out there who's going to be stompin mad I used their pickaxe and shovel graphic. So if a talented graphic designer here wants to make up a similar or even different and better one that can be released as CC licensed I'd be open to that.

For the time being I'll see if I can dig up the image and put it up on github.

(... done)

Thanks...I can put up a small bounty to try to get people to design a really cool one. Is that okay with you?

216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: K1 NANO NOW AVAILABLE (Mod note: 'NOW' means 'PREORDER with claims of 12 weeks') on: June 15, 2013, 04:31:16 PM
Ahaha wow. Went on the website and the preorder price is 1.4 btc for a k1 and 2.2 btc in July. Honestly that is a joke. Only 282 mh and probably 30 dollars in parts without the Avalon chip and you want to mark that up to 1.4 btc? You are out of your mind. Their are people offering assembly for a k1 if you provide the chip for only .3 btc.... if you are serious about a k1 go check out the other buy threads. At this price you would be better buying the asicminer usb miner (which they are using for a stock photo of the k1 on their website) even though it will never return your investment. What a joke this post is.

Hey man thanks for this...was really helpful in getting things primed for some of those k1 miner's I plan to order.

Just a cross post for those not following the K16 thread.

K1 test boards are here and I'll be working on assembling a few for testing next. The firmware is mostly done and I'm expecting by the time the ASIC samples arrive the kinks will be worked out and I can focus on just the ASIC data signal issues.

Insults will get you nowhere in life.

I disagree, retard. Insults are great way of hurting those that IMO should be hurt. If I don't do it, you might develop much more serious issues
beside those you obviously have already.

Thank you for proving my point. What little credibility I was willing to spare to you is gone.
