I am thinking to purchase and trade some BTCs, and Bitfinex seems very user friendly, however i have noticed they delay severly.
Are they a solvent exchange and if so, are they reliable?
I wouldnt want to be part of a Cryptsy/ Mt gox scenario.
Realistically, no exchange is ever completely safe. Think about...inside job, hacks, government crackdown, insolvency..... Don't invest more than you can afford to lose in any btc exchange. Spreading out your capital among two or more exchanges might be one way to hedge against the risk. |

How many of you guys trade on Bitfinex? What is your experience with their platform? I tend to see quite a lot of lagging at times when there is increased trade action.

Correctly calling a market bottom can be very profitable, although can also be very risky, if you are mistaken.
Therefore it is important to have a stop-loss.
There's a saying: "a trend is your friend".
My biggest trading problem is that I set my stops too tight for fear of losing too much. Its such a bad habit I even move up my stops when the price moves in the direction I want it to. The result is my stops are constantly being triggered. How to remedy this mindset? |

Anything that can be programmed can be hacked...unless its properly coded. Bitcoin code isn't very large so it is easy to fix bugs, and these bugs have mostly been discovered and patched.

Interesting, I had not realized that Bitcoin had surpassed Western Union already. But in hindsight I am not surprised, we have much higher expectations for bitcoin than beating western union at their own game.
