202  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitmain - Prices are Ridiculous on: November 27, 2014, 09:28:58 PM
What a shocker, Bitmain is working for themselves and not actually for you. Wow unbelievable...
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you interested in Bitcoin because of the concept or to get rich? on: November 18, 2014, 03:08:10 PM
Owning bitcoin is no longer a path to great wealth. People who buy now may find a quick path to poverty.

Heard that in 2011.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I warned you on: November 03, 2014, 03:46:18 PM
We dont care about the price of bitcoin with fiat money. For us 1bitcoin=1bitcoin and this a real value and not comparison with fiat scam money.

What a loser's mentality. Its like the losers when i was a kid who kept saying : The important is not necessarily to win but to participate. Come one man...
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Random thoughts on flash crashes on: October 20, 2014, 08:06:39 PM
tl;dr

life's too short to read every idiot's theory on something as unpredictable as BTC.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: October 16, 2014, 04:45:04 PM
I have a extra unit I could sell if someone wants it, It would be for the same amount I paid which was $600 in bitcoins

In $ -  yes...in BTC...no... Grin

Cheers,

ZiG

I will also take the exact amount I paid in bitcoins which was 1.59BTC

Why do you want to sell now if L1 is coming first with X11 and scrypt-N.
If I had 1,59 BTC ,I would buy now without any questions ..

Thats why you dont have 1.59 BTC.
207  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are there non-scammy scrypt cloud mining services out there? on: October 09, 2014, 07:56:21 PM
No.  Concept/design failure.

210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Would you rather get paid in bitcoins or fiat? on: October 09, 2014, 04:26:39 PM
Fiat,

Chances that BTC worth zero tomorrow is higher than the same with fiat.

211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is cryptsy the only legitimate altcoin exchange? on: October 07, 2014, 02:15:47 PM
Don't get me wrong, i like cryptsy and think its the most honest and best exchange to trade at.

I also understand that the verification process is imposed to you by law.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is cryptsy the only legitimate altcoin exchange? on: October 07, 2014, 02:08:45 PM

Apparently when you register there you also confirm that your personal information will be shared with few people for their personal use.

Apparently that's true.

You know, Cryptsy is probably the type of people who would come after you for spreading libel and fud about their business. there is no evidence that they have shared your identity or personal information with anyone.

You can read our privacy policy here. https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/privacy

''We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others.''

What about share ? give ? etc.

Playing with words at its finest. I am also very skeptic about what Crypsty is doing/will do with personal information (driver license, pictures etc. heavy stuff)

That only applies to verified folks on the DL, pictures etc and is required by law.

What about share ? give ? etc. No. I suppose we could pull out the thesaurus and add every variation in every language.

No i guess you could just have put a clause like, ''personal information will be kept in the exclusive possession of Project Investors Inc DBA Cryptsy.com and will not be revealed to any third party''

A general clause that exclude every possibility. Mine is pretty rudimentary but you get the idea.

Your actual one has a pretty limited range.

In short. F their verification process.I'll let idiots fall for it.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is old 3.5 floppy safer than USB drive for cold storage? on: October 07, 2014, 01:57:12 PM
Ageis secure key is my current selection, but they have only 3 years warranty, means electronic components might fail in future

This thread is pretty entertaining. Keep going.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is old 3.5 floppy safer than USB drive for cold storage? on: October 06, 2014, 09:02:47 PM
Floppies seem to have a life of about 15 years (give or take). And flash media needs to be powered up every once in awhile to prevent you from losing data.

I personally have password protected wallets inside a TrueCrypted file, copied and stored on multiple forms of digital backup. If one backup fails, I have plenty of other methods. I highly suggest this.

You know that there is speculation that TrueCrypt has been compromised?

TC is safe.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is old 3.5 floppy safer than USB drive for cold storage? on: October 06, 2014, 08:00:50 PM
With the news on USB firmware hacks I was wondering if I should add a 3.5" floppy to my online computer to transfer from my cold storage old XP computer that already has a floppy. Would it be safer?

Some people recommend storing the keys/wallet on a DVD/CD.

DVD is plastic/polymer. It dries and cracks over time.

Your dvd is (potentially) done in 10 years.

Thanks to all.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is cryptsy the only legitimate altcoin exchange? on: October 06, 2014, 07:10:06 PM
Its the one i would be the less nervous to trade on.

Getting verified looks like a huge pain in the ass. Didn't do that.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why not to sell your bitcoins yet on: October 05, 2014, 03:02:24 AM
In my eyes btc is worth more than 1000$ Im going to hodl for life. If you cant afford to hodl or need to sell btc to survive your in the wrong industry then crypto currency is not for you. Its like stock exchange Wink

Clearly , in the long term its way more valuable then $1,000 ;-)  5 ,10 years we are talking about $50,000 - $100,000 ea. coin.

Well, I dont think bitcoin would rise to 50,000 or so.. Probably the maximum it could goes is 2,000 in five to ten years time. Well, that is my guess.

2k$/coin for a 21 million coins supply for a potential market of 2-4 bil people ?

More like 50k-100k$ each coin.

Potential is there. Will it be recognized ? 50-50 chances IMHO.
