201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that cryptos such as Bitcoin would be mainstream? on: November 14, 2019, 01:47:18 AM
If I didn't think that Cryptocurrencies would eventually be mainstream, then I wouldn't be here in the first place because it would mean that I am just intentionally wasting my time for something that is doomed to fail, as Cryptocurrency Enthusiasts, we have been hoping for the day when we wouldn't have to have to explain to people what BitcoinBTC is all about because the majority of the world is already using it to make transactions.

That is the kind of world I envision and that is what makes me leave my bed every morning with a smile on my face knowing that I am a part of the future financial system when the majority in this world are sti either oblivious about it''s existence or think it's just a waste of time.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 13, 2019, 08:53:14 AM
From experience, I know that the deep web usually accepts mainly Bitcoin and even though it's quite ironic because there are privacy coins which would better fit their MO of privacy, Merchants there prefer to accept payments for goods and services in Bitcoin because it's more popular worldwide, Moreover let's face it, Bitcoin is as private as it gets when you want to transact with full anonymity, this was my experience years ago when I used it though, j don't know if other currencies are being accepted now but with the rate that ethereum acceptance is growing, I wouldn't be surprised if they are accepting it too now.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you sell a million dollars bag of crypto? Would you trust exchanges? on: November 13, 2019, 08:48:16 AM
In the Cryptocurrency space, trust is overrated, I wouldn't trust any centralised exchange with that kind of funds so if I want to exchange a large sum of money, I would just do it in one of the big exchanges but I wouldn't do it all it once, I would be doing it gradually until I convert all the funds, I would do it within the limit where the withdrawals wouldn't warrant extra scrutiny by the exchange, eventually I would convert all the funds but I wouldn't try to convert such a large sum all at once, it might give them ideas, I have heard too many sob stories about exchanges locking people's funds and demanding for extra funds to unlock and this includes Binance but I have to admit that I haven't confirmed the story though, but I think it warrants being more careful the way we transact with centralised exchanges, the power lies ultimately with the owners of the exchange and not you.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: November 13, 2019, 03:54:33 AM
When innovation is fairly new, it usually doesn't catch up fast but once it catches up, it soars to new heights and you start to imagine how humans has been surviving without it before it was invented, this is a classic tale about the internet, when it was invented many people didn't understand it and hated it but today, it is one of the greatest inventions of all time and has revolutionised the way we do many things.

Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrencies are the next step in the evolution of money and it is here to stay, it has started gaining the interest of whole countries and big organisations and we are approaching that stage where it would be accepted worldwide, it's just a matter of time, it's not fading anytime soon, infact it's doing the opposite.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the most interesting / fun person in the crypto space? on: November 12, 2019, 10:35:20 PM
Definitely Vitalik Buterin, although he isn't much of a social media personality like the CEO of Binance for example, I have to admit that I have so much love and respect for him, I feel that spending an evening with him would leave me wiser than I was when the meeting started.

Another person would be Pompolino, a huge bitcoin fan on twitter, he always tends to post the funniest tweets and updates about bitcoins, I would definitely like to meet him too, maybe him and Vitalik together, Vitalik to impact the knowledge and Pomp to keep it light and funny.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 05:00:44 PM
There are websites which has done this in the past and they are called faucets, they always claim that there are no strings attached but when you visit them, the websites are so choked full of adverts that you can't scroll through the websites without wasting atleast more than x10 of the reward on data, nothing comes for free in this world and sometimes things like look free but it's actually not free because why would somebody do something like that without aiming to make any profit from it?
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Turkey working on their own digital by end of 2020 on: November 12, 2019, 04:55:36 PM
I knew that the Chinese Cryptocurrency project would be a wake-up call for numerous countries to jump on the bandwagon, even those that has the capability and those that do not, it would be interesting to see how this all ends up, which country would come out at the top smelling like roses and which country's Cryptocurrency project would go down in a blaze of glory,, the Cryptocurrency space is maturing and this is one of the first steps, we are gradually inching towards worldwide adoption and it's amazing to be here to watch it happen.
208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 08:21:33 AM
Let me give you this little statistics... The whole Cryptocurrency market cap is presently hovering around $240,000,000,000 and bitcoin price is somewhere around $8700, during the peak in 2017, the Cryptocurrency market cap hit an ATH of around $900,000,000,000 and bitcoin hit an amazing $20,000 high.

Experts cannot seem to agree on when the bullish season would commence but one thing they all seem to agree on is that the Cryptocurrency marketcap would eventually be worth trillions of dollars so imagine if Bitcoin hit $20,000 when the marketcap was less than a trillion dollars, imagine the price it would hit when the marketcap is worth trillions, let me just leave you with that.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Permission to Use Bitcoin Logo on: November 12, 2019, 07:53:16 AM
The fundamentals of Bitcoin is decentralised and transparency and I think this includes the Bitcoin logo, it's a logo that promotes a decentralised currency and I think this pretty much means freedom to the people, you do not need to ask for permission to use the logo for a t-shirt because everyone is welcome to use it.

The fact that you want to make a t-shirt with it shows that you are a huge fan and you probably own some bitcoin and I think this grants you the right to use the logo if you want because you are part of the Ecosystem, so dont worry about any lawsuits because you would probably be doing Bitcoin a favour with free publicity while you wear the t-shirt. I think I would make one too.
210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i make 50.000$ fast ? on: November 12, 2019, 07:48:13 AM
Since you mentioned day trading, then I think you want to start with some capital of your own as opposed to just earning tokens so earning $50,000 is possible depending on how you look at it... If you intend to start day trading with maybe $1,000,000, then it would be a realistic target, but then again you could get burnt and lose most of your funds especially since you have admitted that you do not have any knowledge or experience about how it's done, because even the experienced people gets burnt when it comes to trading.

But there are ways to ride the ups and downs of holding but I think it's best left to the professionals, the best way to make $50,000 for a newbie in this present market is also the best way to lose $50,000, the market has changed a lot from those 2017 days when a complete noob could get in and still make a lot of profit, you might wanna take a while to read through the trading section of Bitcointalk.
211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why say "NO" to Web wallet on: November 11, 2019, 07:00:44 PM
Web wallets has had a history of insecurity and if you do a little research, you would discover that most of the phishing scams involving cryptocurrency wallets were done with a web wallet, applications are much more secure in my opinion because I think that whena hacker can't even identify a domain, then they wouldn't be able to hack it.

Even the biggest web wallet has been hacked in the past by a good Samaritan hacker who later returned the funds and you could read the article here: https://www.coindesk.com/good-samaritan-blockchain-hacker-returned-255-btc-speaks
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Twitter held a Bitcoin Meetup in Nigeria! on: November 11, 2019, 06:07:47 PM
Even with all the negative feedback that the country is getting because of their tendency to scam in the Cryptocurrency space, but these days the country has been gathering a lot of momentum in the Cryptocurrency space, first Binance listed their currency in their exchange and now the twitter CEO is holding a meet-up there, although when I research about the country, it seems that their leaders are oblivious of the existence of Blockchian technology and what it entails but the Cryptocurrency Enthusiasts seem to make up for it.

This is another evidence of Cryptocurrency going mainstream, first it was Mark Zuckerberg who used to fight against Cryptocurrencies but has embraced it to the extent that he even wants to create his own ,and now it's the twitter CEO and the Chinese showing massive love to Cryptocurrencies, the future looks bright, buy and hodl some Bitcoin before the boom.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: November 11, 2019, 05:57:56 PM
There are 3 components that every good crypto project continues to improve on

1) Technical capabilities & Delivering on Technical goals
2) Marketing, Community and Adoption
3) Integration, Partnerships, Usability and Company Structure
These a very valid points and ideally, it should be the things that define a successful Cryptocurrency project, but unfortunately that is not the case especially when it comes to the perspective of investors, there are projects that meet the above mentioned criteria but are still seen as a failure because let's face it, the investors are mostly in for the profit and not the tech.

These days the yardstick used to mention the success of a project is the profit that it fetches it's investors, the project might not meet any of the criteria's above but as long as it's tokens keep doing well in exchanges and keeps yielding profit for it's token holders, then it is considered a resounding success even if it has no actual tech to speak of.

I personally cannot support any project with just a good token price or ROI because I would keep feeling like it's just a house of cards and would crash down at any moment but if you look closely, you would notice that most investors don't really care about tech, it's all about the money where they are concerned.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FET & BINANCE Best of Scam ??? on: October 31, 2019, 07:35:54 AM
Cryptocurrencies are a high risk investment and while many projects who did IEOs are doing well, it's a sad fact to also know that some of them are blessing in price daily, it's just part of the game, that is why you should never invest more than you can afford to lose, this is the ultimate rule of Cryptocurrency investments.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Brave Browser Crypto Rewards Program on: October 31, 2019, 07:33:20 AM
I have seen so many project in 2018 promising to do exactly what Bribe browser has just implemented, projects promising to pay viewers for the adverts they view daily and I am overjoyed that while majority of then failed, it's good to see that Brave actually actualises the goal, I would check it out.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on COSS Crypto Exchange and their daily income token COS? on: October 31, 2019, 07:31:03 AM
I still have a pending case with COSS exchange, I made a deposit and the deposit never showed in my COSS account,. This was in 2018 and when I wrote to support, after taking a very long time to respond, they still didn't resolve the issue up till today, I would rather throw a token away than trade it in COSS exchange, that's how much I dislike it.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 30, 2019, 11:24:45 PM
Like I always say, to survive in this space, you have to ignore what people say and DYOR and when you are convinced about any coin you have invested in, stick to your guns and don't let another person's opinion sway you, ofcourse bitcoin has done well but some Altcoins are doing better and I believe that it's an Altcoin that would eventually lead to mainstream cryptocurrency adoption.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Support Or Have You Supported A Coin That Makes A Comeback on: October 30, 2019, 11:22:32 PM
I have a lot of coins like that, back when I used to purchase a bunch of shitcoins and hope for the best, some of them I wrote off as lost, only for them to make a magnificent comeback in a spectacular fashion, some of them.i got via Airdrops and bounties and some of them I invested in, I have been one lucky dude.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on XRP for long term investment (BEGINNER) on: October 30, 2019, 11:20:18 PM
The only advice I can give you right now is that if you have to ask for opinions about projects to invest in on Bitcointalk forum from a bunch of strangers, then you want to lose your money, as an investor, one of the first things you have to learn is how to DYOR and I know it's not the shortcut everybody is looking for, but it produces positive results.
220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Qualities worth developing as a crypto enthusiast (Investor). on: October 30, 2019, 11:17:57 PM
1,3 and 4 are definitely very important and many people tend to lack that trait, you also have to learn how not to be moved by the sentiments of others especially when it comes to their choice of project to invest in, everyone is looking out for their pocket, that is the mindset you should always have.
