161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best investment in crypto since 2018 on: November 23, 2019, 05:18:20 PM
My best investment since 2018 turned out to be none other than Carry protocol, although they wasted over a year before the token was listed in an exchange, it turned out to be worth it in the end since the CRE token went on to do an amazing x15 in Upbit Korea exchange when it was listed, at that point I had counted the money I invested in Carry Protocol as another loss but was pleasantly surprised what what happened in the end. This doesn't mean that I would gladly tie up some of my funds for a year just so I could get 15x profit, I know it sounds like something a greedy person would say but that year wasn't funny at all, I guess it's not knowing that made it seem bad, if I had been given a timeline, it would have been cool.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance to Sue the Block and raises 200 bitcoins to fight fud. on: November 23, 2019, 05:13:01 PM
This is pure market manipulation in it's finest form and The Block should be held accountable for it by not just Binance, but also the entire cryptocurrency space and everyone involved in it, they reported a fake event that never happened and even when it turned out to be false, instead of doing the honourable thing and apologizing, they decided to play fast and loose, this event has just proven that anything they report are not to be trusted and everybody should stop reading whatever they publish because they would simply repeat it in the future again.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: November 23, 2019, 03:57:52 PM
Trading is a combination of many things and some of them depends on your desire to get the news on time and this definitely means that you should trade the news, I don't mean the news that cryptocurrency projects tend to release these days by announcing a future announcement or burning some of their tokens, I am talking of the real news that would have the potential to shake the market like the news of China cracking down on Cryptocurrency exchanges, just see how much it affected the market.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listed exchange matters on: November 23, 2019, 03:53:11 PM
I honestly don't see a lot of bounty of projects that would be holding IEOs gate and Kucoin exchanges, most bounty hunters just do not have a choice in the project's they participate in because it's mostly just a collection of terrible projects and you just have to select the one that has a prayer of surviving in this harsh market conditions, the IEO tokensale model is all but dead so there are not hundreds of them out there for us to choose from, bounty hunters are basically just trying to keep their heads down until things get better.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China vowed to "slash" crypto exchanges, bitcoin prices plummeted. on: November 23, 2019, 03:46:26 PM
It's a very sad thing to see especially after we have spent so much time hailing China as visionaries saw the potential of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrencies considering the fact that they plan to release their own, so the last thing I was expecting was to see something like this happening, even with the FUD of Binance office being raided, I don't know if this is all market manipulation but the way things are now, it's very bad and things needs to settle down.
166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Copy post / plagiarism on: November 22, 2019, 05:47:50 PM
It's more of an issue of spam than plagiarism, but it could also have been an innocent mistake since both might not have searched to ensure that it's not posted before they posted it in the forum, it would have been considered plagiarism if they had not added the source of the information they are posting but since they added the source, they are acknowledging that sources s the original author before posting, although people should make more efforts to make their own original posts instead of typing whole articles word for word.
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Trading competition good way to earn money? on: November 22, 2019, 05:40:00 PM
Just like everything that involves trading Cryptocurrencies, trading competition requires a great deal of luck to earn money from it, starting from the fact that you might not even win it at all in the first place to the fact that Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and in price and could start high and by the end of the competition, the price is now so low that you have lost a good chunk of your money from bad trading and trading fees that not even the price could cover the cost, so ilike I said, it's a good way of earning if you're a a very lucky sort.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can do Governements against Satoshi ? on: November 22, 2019, 05:35:43 PM
First of all, Satoshi is just a Pseudonym and you cannot harm someone that you cannot even identify in the first place, if they could have identified the individual or organisation behind the Pseudonym, then they could possibly have tried to get their hands on his private keys or something and maybe even try to tap into that awesome brain of his but I seriously don't see what else they could possibly do to him, he or they have proven to be quite the anonymous artist over a 10 year period and the trail has gone cold so it's likely that Satoshi would remain anonymous until the end of time.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best mobile crypto wallet? on: November 22, 2019, 05:25:33 PM
One of the best mobile Cryptocurrency wallets I have ever used is the imtoken wallet and it was my favourite ethereum wallet until the upgrade to imtoken 2.0 where they simply blew my mind by upgrading it into a multi currency wallet which now supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS and so much more, imtoken is very easy to use, is very secure and the sweetest part is that it's a fully decentralised wallet with a simple interface, I would recommend it for anybody.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO: A professional scam on: November 22, 2019, 05:22:10 PM
When the IEO tokensale model started off, it kicked off with a great start because there were lots of good projects around just waiting to conduct their tokensale with already developed products but as time went on, people's standard started reducing and all they started caring about was just the exchange where the tokensale is being held because of profit.

Centralised exchanges are not Non-profit organisations and we always have to bear this in mind and when they see opportunity, you don't realistically expect them not to take advantage of it and make as much profit as possible and this is what they do in most cases, and nobody really complained about the quality of projects until the IEOs stopped yielding their desired results.

What I am trying to say is that even as investors in IEOs, you heart was never in the right place, it wasn't about the Tech or the project, it was basically about the profit and if the shittiest project gave the highest profit, it would have been seen as a resounding success and this is exactly what the exchange's did as well in order to maximise their profits, the basic problems are we the investors, we are the ones who allowed it all to happen.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 20, 2019, 03:22:47 PM
Once the projects is still alive and functioning, there is still hope no matter how slim it is, I have seen seemingly dead projects come alive in a bearish market and when the bullrun come, the dead really comes alive and does well, so you might be lucky when the bullrun comes but you shouldn't hinge your hope on it to avoid double disappointments, Cryptocurrency is a mystery especially when it comes to trading and hodling but it has it's perks and when any of them ends up doing well, it would be worth the time.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Mark Zuckerberg Isn't A New Crypto Messiah on: November 20, 2019, 03:16:34 PM
Just like in the article said, being unable to launch the project Libra without the US Congress approving it may have lead to Facebook Pay. But it's oddly similar but what I don't get is that more and more information would be gathered about the person, it's already on their hands, why would they want more? s?
Facebook might have people's personal info but they do not have credit card information, they do not have information about the kinds of products that each customer likes, they do not have a lot of information that would enable them to give more focused ads but your shopping preferences would enable them have this information just like the article pointed out, more power in the hands of a money hungry person.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Circumvent KYC if You Can? on: November 19, 2019, 11:57:02 PM
One of the reasons I fell in love with Cryptocurrencies is the fact that I can make transactions fast and anonymously, people simply like their privacy and this isn't a crime but the society is constantly finding more and more creative ways to part with every details about us and many see Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies as a way to do this, so ofcourse, we would always find ways to circumvent except in cases where we absolutely have no other choice.

In my opinion KYC procedure is needed at least in order to avoid frauds, but not everywhere.
I strongly disagree with this, KYC just forces criminals to hide their activities better, they would just find better and more creative means to hide their illegal activities, I think the KYC is just enforced so that they would have the upper hand and not because of any practical reasons.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Mark Zuckerberg Isn't A New Crypto Messiah on: November 19, 2019, 11:44:35 PM
We've seen news recently about the Facebook Pay launch and even though they keep insisting that it has no link to the ongoing Libra case, we all have to admit that Facebook pay is very similar to what Libra aims to do but instead of using Cryptocurrencies as originally planned, the Facebook pay uses fiat instead. Most likely, you've heard about Facebook Pay. In the recent blog post, we're trying to understand how its release affects the crypto world and why Mark Zuckerberg  switched to it from Libra.

I recently read an article that served as an eye opener about the ulterior motive of the Facebook CEO and I would like to get your opinion on it to see if yo also agree with the reasons as well.

175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Terms People Use in Cryptocurrency on: November 19, 2019, 11:26:17 PM
And the most dangerous of them all are FOMO and REKT although one usually leads to the other but not always

FOMO (FEAR OF MISSING OUT): This usually happens a lot to starry eyed newbies who have heard stories about how one single good ICO or coin in an exchange could turn one into a millionaire overnight so when they see a coin mooning like crazy or hear so much hype about a new upcoming ICO, they get swept u in the frenzy and invest (most times a lot of money) into those projects and the end result most times is that they get rekt although this doesn't always happens a few get lucky but in most cases, they get rekt.

REKT (WRECKED): Just like the name implies, it means that the trader/investor has been wrecked, their money has gone into a shady coin that would never give them the millions they crave, infact it did quite the opposite and they lost their hard earned funds and one of the leading reasons why people get rekt is FOMO.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My research for spam coins/tokens on: November 19, 2019, 08:53:23 AM
The painful part about this is that some of these tokens raised so much funds in their tokensale stage and some just quietly faded away into the sunset to enjoy their loot, some didn't even release a single shred of code after their successful tokensale or ever did anything to boost their token price, they are just around and quietly waiting for their community members to finally lose interest in the project and move on, this is quite painful but it isn't rare in the Cryptocurrency space, I got some of those tokens you mentioned, more than I could possibly admit but it's all lessons learnt.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think all crypto is scam on: November 19, 2019, 04:59:46 AM
I get your point but I think you should change your wording from "All Crypto" to "All ICOs".. If you mention Cryptocurrencies in general, then you are referring to both Bitcoin and Ethereum as well and even though this pains me to say... "EOS".

There are good coins out there and they shouldn't have to suffer for the sins of the shitcoins which we chose to invest in hoping that it would turn out to be the next Ethereum and make us rich beyond our imaginations.

But I couldn't agree more with your views, many projects has their eyes on one thing and one thing only... Money. And some would even develop their products, build whole Blockchain and go to the extra length just to look genuine and gain trust and they dump their tokens on investors.
178  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone think the fees are too high on Coinbase Pro? on: November 19, 2019, 04:48:13 AM
The fee is quite high especially when you consider the fact that you could get close to a similar and quality service elsewhere with just a third of the fees but this seems to be the last of the top Cryptocurrency exchanges that still supports  US traders in their main exchange and not an exclusive branch of it like Binance and Huobi are doing with the Binance.us and Huobi.us websites
.
But additionally Coinbase has proven that they are worth the fees with their history of quality service and security, although they should consider reducing this huge fees unless they want their competition to collect all their traders.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 04:42:10 AM
As much as this would be a very nice thing to do, the stories of horror that has been heard about exchanges makes me think that I would stick with the banks and take my changes instead, and if you think your funds are SAFU, You might wanna read this: https://twitter.com/crypto_c00kie/status/1196463697822134272

The fact is that at the level that Cryptocurrencies are right now, you cannot make your daily transactions using Cryptocurrencies, your local restaurants might not accept Cryptocurrency, Your Grandma might not accept Cryptocurrency, your hospital might not accept Cryptocurrency and the list goes on and on, presently I don't see that working but we all know it would be in the future when worldwide adoption is finally real.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is no one trading CNHT ?? on: November 19, 2019, 04:35:10 AM
It seems that nothing has been happening about the token because to be honest, nothing has really been happening with it, it was launched sometime in early September 2019 and up till this day, the total number of addresses holding the token are a whopping number of 20, and just 35 total transfers, you can see this information in it's contract addresses: https://etherscan.io/token/0x6e109e9dd7fa1a58bc3eff667e8e41fc3cc07aef

These days Tether just seems to find every little excuse to print a new coin and peg it to whatever catches their fancy, the latest would be a gold pegged Stablecoin, it hunk the dollar pegged Tether works just fine and so do majority of others but evidently, Tether doesn't agree.
