201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you think Trumps supporters still love him? on: February 27, 2017, 02:05:06 PM
Studies say if you hear a lie 5 times or more you stop thinking of it as a lie. I think that has a lot to do for anyone stuck to supporting a specific politician.

Also most people never want to admit they are wrong. When people say they went to a Casino, they always did well. They never lose. When they vote for some guy they don't have buyer's remorse.

Last night a FB friend posted that if they had been on the Oscar red carpet they would have worn an Ivanka dress in red white and blue. A few people said 'You know those are made in China' and posted links showing 'made in china' on the label. She said 'Oh that's just liberal media'.

I think that means we're in a post fact world.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Zcash May End The Money Trail on: February 27, 2017, 08:29:28 AM
All the more reason for anonymous crypto to be more popular. Not for the illegal things, for the simple ability to not have big brother knowing everything we do.

Awhile ago a city used a rewards program history to see who was buying dog food, and if that person didn't have a dog license, to figure out if people had unlicensed dogs. It can only go downhill for there.

203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the closing down of the Community Forum of IMDB means on: February 27, 2017, 08:24:16 AM
Napster wasn't distributed, they had centralized servers and that was the reason they had to buckle to the music industry. Depending on the audience who under 25ish even knows about Napster?

Still I agree with you about IMDB, shame they closed their forums. It was handy to see some other fan theories on certain movies.

204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite alcohol? on: February 27, 2017, 07:50:55 AM
Last summer I made some cherry liquor

Recipe is here
https://gardencorrespondent.com/2013/07/12/channel-your-inner-granny/

A few pounds of nanking cherries, some sugar, and let it sit in the sun for months. No real effort to do and turned out nicely. This summer I'm going to have to make more.

It is a nice sipping liquor, a great cinnamon smell and taste.

205  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: February 27, 2017, 07:42:26 AM
I have spread the good news of cryptocurrencies and use coinbase to get the $10 spiff when when someone signs up.

It's not a lot, yet it does add up over time.

206  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to earn 25% to 300% interest on your bitcoins in 3 months on: February 27, 2017, 07:36:05 AM
If this worked so well why would you bother telling anyone about it?

Also you may want to use some of your splendid profits to spell check your website

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] piWallet - Opensource Online Altcoin Wallet on: February 26, 2017, 10:59:02 AM
Nice open source wallet. Thanks

A suggestion, in order to not need to open up fopen in the php.ini I'd recommend switching from
jsonRPCClient.php to easybitcoin.php. It only required a few changes to get that going

I set up a simple web wallet for BUMBA at http://wallet.bumbacoin.com

I still recommend using the official BUMBA client for most of your coins. However the web wallet is handy and available.

It is using the very nice piWallet software.

211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do I buy Digicube coins? on: February 22, 2017, 04:09:57 AM
Digicube is still a little alive, there are buy orders for it with DOGE.

https://bleutrade.com/exchange/CUBE/DOGE

You will have to put in some nodes in a DigiCube.conf file

addnode=176.9.58.13
addnode=149.56.154.72
addnode=144.76.237.39
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ✪ Virtual Coin. an ongoing/repeating scam since 2014? what's going on with the pre-mine?? on: February 22, 2017, 03:23:49 AM

If you're using that wallet it's a few years out of date. Also the entire coin was converted a few years ago from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake with a very long conversion time.

With no pre-mines, ICO, or wacky code I'm not sure how you claim to have lost BTC.

How much is 1 bumba coin worth now?

Next to nothing. I bought 600K and sent them to my step-brother as a birthday gift. He is 59 yo but I have no problem to beat the shit out of him and take my token back in case things ramp up and prices lift up.

I see a future Springer episode - My step-bro took ma Bumba!

Oops, missed that. Yes, the Bumba Devs have been giving the coin some love with an update. Use -test it fixed a few issues and is stable. I changed the posting.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]--★★BumbaCoin★★-- POS X11 on: January 09, 2017, 07:08:42 AM

Yup i have not, and i'm not expert on tux, did you have a nice tuto working to do that ?
thanks.

Here's a quick walk through for linux.

First, get all the build tools you'll need

> sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev  libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev

You will need git for the source
>sudo apt-get install git

Get the source files
>git clone https://github.com/bumbacoin/bumbacoin2-test.git

move to the source directory
>cd bumbacoin2-test/src
>make -f makefile.unix

When it finishes you'll have a bumbacoin2d

when you run that it will create a ~/.bumbacoin2 directory

Heya, is there a nunux 64 compiled somewhere ? i mean for Ubuntu 16.04 64bit

or i have to find/test a tutorial (if that <- any clue ?)
Thanks.

It compiled fine and synced on 16.04 for me. Make sure you have the typical build environment for coins and make -f makefile.unix

A friend spoke to a law firm, this is the response they gave

"We have recently discovered that another creditor has presented a winding up petition against Alpha which has been listed for hearing in the Manchester District Registry on 23 January 2017.

A winding up petition is a request that the court order the winding up of Alpha on the basis that it is unable to pay its debts.

It is possible to support or oppose a winding up petition and you should look regularly at the London Gazette within which the creditor will advertise the petition. This will give the details of who any intention to support / oppose should be sent."

I haven't found any further info

sendfrom newaddress oldaddress 1000
Would this require 1000 sendfroms with a value of 1 before I do the final sendfrom for 1000?

How are exchanges not getting hit with issues of sending various amounts?

If my wallet only has one account, only one deposit to it, how would I combine inputs in order to send a small amount like 1000?

Or would a sendmany work here so I could send the 1000 and also send a chunk to another wallet I own?
