Seems you miss the point of a roadmap. Also new exchanges will come in Q1 too, not only Q3, if you actually bother to read the roadmap properly. --ypsi He seems to be pointing to an inevitable crash after the airdrops end... I wonder what would be the logic in that. To me it seems that the airdrops were priced in during november when the BTX/BTC price dropped from over 0.004 to its current level. When the airdrops end, I'd expect some dumping to happen, but by then we should be higher on the CMC ranking too. There will be some dumping after the airdrops ends that for sure , but also there will be no more flooding of new BTX on the market, and the difficulty for mining will by then be much much higher. What is the reasoning behind these dumps you postulated? Of course if too many people expect that to happen it will for no other reason than that, but then people will try to dump early etc. It's hard to speculate what will happen. BTX community is made by two type of people: those who hold BTC because they like the coin and they think it has a future, and those who don't care about the coin and they just want the airdrops. Many people enter the community as part of the latter, but in time they understand the virtues of the coin and change their attitude. There may be some sort of dump as it happened with Byteball, when the airdrop stopped, but the consequences wouldn't last more than a few months - if at all. You say the right things and I'll add that it's not bad - that many people come to get only free coins in the beginning. BTX is extremely good technically, and if while the community is working on popularization the developer will work hard to include BitCore into existing businesses and services in parallel - then we will all have a wonderful future! But it is not enough to be just good nowadays. As Alice has once said, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place, and if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that. Just to stay alive and relevant, the coin must be constantly improved since competition is so strong while Bitcore doesn't have that first-mover advantage that regular Bitcoin enjoys. As the message says, you don't have the private key to that address in that wallet. Hopefully you have it somewhere, otherwise your mining profits are lost, too. I have private key on paper. Yes, would like to see this resolved. I wouldn't say CMC is playing bias for BCH as they had a static supply for some of the Zcash forks (namely HUSH comes to mind) but with a well documented spreadsheet, I see no reason why this can't be resolved for the site to properly reflect rankings. As more and more coins get stale with their coin supply, it will cause users to move to other providers for rankings due to inaccuracies. Can't believe the owner of CMC is an scammer. amazing how every rich owner turns out to scams.

After so many appeals from people and a team of developers, providing evidence, you must correct the circulating turnover of BTX coins. Or at least to declare all the reasons for which you can not do it. If you can not explain it, then many people are already inclined to think that you are playing someone else's dishonest game.

This Bitcore issue is starting to get newsworthy, it will be interesting to see a few of the crypto news sites picking this up and maybe investigate a little. very strange indeed  How clear does it need to be for you coinmarketcap? This perfectly explains it to you: CMC lists an incorrect marketcap for quite a few coins. Anyway.. to clear a few misconceptions, circulating supply means coins that have recently been sent or addresses known to be active (CMC gives no indication of the time cut-off however). A fairly stupid measuring metric to be honest. Total marketcap are coins generated 'to date' or in existence at any given point. If coins were sent to an address; and the owner lost the private key - this does not affect the marketcap total, as said coins still exist and are valid on the blockchain. The Bitcoin holders 'forked' coins don't matter, if they were reimbursed with BTX due to the snapshot - the BTX they were sent already existed beforehand. To find the to the minute (and correct) coinmarketcap: Ensure your baking tray is lightly greased, along with a txindex'd copy of bitcored, mix with python 2.7 and gently stir python-bitcoinrpc library in (pip install python-bitcoinrpc). Come on, that's getting out of hand here. Why would CMC have an agenda against BTX? Maybe they have an interest in BCH, BTG, and BTC and don't want any more competitors. IDK I am just speculating. So disappointing how most exchanges are going these days... This just shows crypto is still in its early days.
To be fair, they are mostly just overloaded right now. Crytopia already put out a statement about their crazy growth since December. The number of users almost tripled in a month. They have taken steps to provide some stability and they are working on the issues over the next few weeks, as well as taking on more staff. I use that exchange before others as I prefer it for many of my alts. I am pretty sure it'll be running well again soon. Can't really blame them for the explosive growth and issues that came with it. It is obviously not permanent. It can happen to any exchange and they all have their issues from time to time. There is no perfect exchange and there never will be. i agree, topia could end up being a top 10-15 exchange someday |
