all coin dump the first couple of week after early miner that never care for the coin dump for CENT . but the whale will buy them up cheaper and wait few month and pump the price and make DOLLAR miners with free electricity will dump the shit out of every coin, because they are getting them for free, easy profit for those miner yes free energy exist you just need to have the right tools, and it's called green energy, not completely free but close enough If thats the case (and i believe that you are pretty on point with your Statement) the reward structure of 50 Hodls for the next 4 years without halving already became a problem. So we might need much more Buypower or lower Block Rewards to equal that out over time. 4 years without halving is frikkin eternity imo. A rare POS Coin that is already collapsing from the miners sell pressure. "Flaw detected" This is the same halving that Bitcoin has followed and Bitcoin is about to go though its second halving (down to 12.5) in ~90 days.. I'm sure on month 2 of Bitcoin Satoshi thought 4 years let alone 8 years seemed like an eternity as well.. yeah right HODL is totally comparable with btc. lol Shortterm this needs a good PR Guy and/or Campaign. Yeah I guess it is a little stretch to compare HOdl to BTC.. I mean BTC didn't even have a price its first 2 months.. As far as PR.. We have a few things we have discussed.. As long as we keep getting donations we should be able to do some of them..

As I'm sure many of you know, HOdl is a crypto project funded by the public. There was no premine or ICO fund collected, it had a 100% fair launch. As you can see we have been collecting bounties for things we need along the way. There is a core few of us, who have spent a good amount of our own funds (HODL, BTC and USD) on all these things so far. We need your help moving forward, we have set up a general funds address. We think this will be the best way to do this. Instead of every time we need something and have someone lined up to do it, coming to the community and waiting weeks to collect the funds. So what do we need these funds for? We are working on the website right now and we will need funds to host the site. Some of you may have seen that Fuzzblaws has been working on a custom HOdl block explorer. We will need funds to host this, we need to scale resources as traffic volume increases. We think you will all love what he has done with this block explorer. It has a Top HOdlers list by address, complete with number of active deposits, amount of HODL deposited and the Mature Value of each address. It also has charts showing how much of the total supply is HOdled at this moment, as well has how much of the total supply has come from HOdling. Those are just a few of the features he has brought to this new Block explorer. We will also need funds to get these stand alone miners released properly. As I'm sure you have all seen and tried some of the newly released miners, we still don't have a proper binary release of any of them. While we truly appreciate all of the hard work that went into all of them. We have bits and pieces of them spread out all over this thread. This is where the general funds would have come in handy, we could have gotten a binary release of Wolf's new miner, rather than just the source code which is all we could afford. As Freetrade has posted a few posts back, Wolf has agreed to provide the HOdlcoin community with an open-source, GBT CPU miner if a 1.25 BTC bounty can be raised. Look at this general fund as investing in the value of a coin you already own and may be HOdling for years to come. Hodl needs more marketing to attract more users, the market cap and volume is very small at the moment. When you have that and you have a lot of miners that mine and sell things will never look good... more exchanges can also help in attracting new users. The dev should contact more exchanges and the user community should also ask for the coin to be added to more exchanges. There are still very little Hodl users IMHO.
We have reached out to Polo and Bittrex more then once.. it's up to them when/if they list it..

I have a question about the bonus interest rate which decreases with every new block. How does this rate get applied to existing coins. Is their rate reduced or does the lower rate only apply to new deposits. This question applies to regular deposits as well as TDs.
TIA
When you make a TD you are locked in at that blocks rate.. Same goes for standard interest.. The Standard interest rate is set at the rate that output was last moved.. Until 30 days and then you most move that output to start interest accruing again..

Windows distribution binary
Windows distribution binary
I don't know how many more times I can make this clear
I don't know what you mean. I've compiled Windows binaries and used the same one on different machines with different CPUs and versions of Windows. There was no special setting for Windows distribution binary. It just worked, after I installed the necessary dependencies. Maybe you could post your console session with the command line and error message so people who are trying to help have something to work with, something that has been asked before. And don't tell other people how to fix your problem, especially when you haven't defined it. If you know what your problem is, fix it yourself and share your solution with everyone else. So step up, how does one build a Windows distribution binary? Dude I don't have a problem that I'm trying to have you fix.. I'm the one that paid the bulk to Wolf to have him code the miner.. I just spoke to him.. he is busy atm and will work on the Windows distribution binary soon enough... Fair enough. I still don't know what a Windows distribution binary is or how it differs from what exists. If you know I'd like to learn. I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, and I appreciate the bounties and the bounty donators. But there seem to be too many users that just say "it doesn't work" and don't follow advice to eliminate the obvious problems. I have yet to see one user who has followed advice, still has the problem, and provides supporting data as has been requested many times. I guess we both don't like having to repeat ourselves. Yes limited info on errors has been a theme me and the other working on this project have ran across.. it has lead us to close two issues on GitHub due to an inability to reproduce and lack of info... distribution binary = statically linked (self contained) binary package that requires no additional 3rd party libraries to be installed on the end user’s computer..

Man people aren't holding they're just dumping their interest and its driving the price down just like any other Proof of Stake coin.

good morning, thanks for sharing updates , but i dont even know how to compile this miner , i was trying to use wolf cpu miner but crases on my xeon e3 1230 v2 on win 10 64 bits , using currently old miner for hodl Yup, no AES_NI on that CPU. cpuminer-opt is not available for Windows so keep using hodlminer or switch to linux. e3-1230 has AES. Must be something else. I just looked again and you're right. Don't know what to say about hodleminer-wolf crashing. If the CPU didn't have AES_NI it wouldn't compile. Since you're on Windows have you tried the binary available at Cryptomining blog? Both versions are available, make sure you get wolf. I've tried it on a i7-4790K win 8.1 with no problems. i dint know how to compile that binarys , i just downloaded the precompiled files they post there from this link " http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/hodlminer-wolf.zip" Yet another user that doesn't provide any data with their problem and doesn't read previous posts in the thread to see if their problem has already been addressed, which it probably has. I can't help someone who won't make an effort to help themselves. How to mine this coin? i downloaded a cpu miner from cryptocureency-blog but it got error.
I'm not sure that Windows binary was compiled as a Windows distribution binary... Windows distribution binaryI don't know how many more times I can make this clear.. until we get the Wolf's code properly compiled as a Windows distribution binary a lot of you will continute to see this error

Maybe a HOdl-bounty-address could be useful. It´s all about HOdl here We need this for paying for host servers and other resources.. That don't except Hodl as payment.. There is no need to get Hodl to then have to dump it.. Plenty of dumping going on already on the exchanges..

The binaries from cryptominingblog weren't built properly, which is why you and 90% of the other HOdlers are getting this error.
Here is the address both Freetrade and I hodl the private key to this address 1BountyAyfaj2LRD2VhTY5iyfgjg79nmSx
