good morning, thanks for sharing updates , but i dont even know how to compile this miner , i was trying to use wolf cpu miner but crases on my xeon e3 1230 v2 on win 10 64 bits , using currently old miner for hodl  Yup, no AES_NI on that CPU. cpuminer-opt is not available for Windows so keep using hodlminer or switch to linux. e3-1230 has AES. Must be something else. I just looked again and you're right. Don't know what to say about hodleminer-wolf crashing. If the CPU didn't have AES_NI it wouldn't compile. Since you're on Windows have you tried the binary available at Cryptomining blog? Both versions are available, make sure you get wolf. I've tried it on a i7-4790K win 8.1 with no problems. i dint know how to compile that binarys , i just downloaded the precompiled files they post there from this link " http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/hodlminer-wolf.zip" |

I'm not sure that Windows binary was compiled as a Windows distribution binary... I don't know how many more times I can make this clear.. until we get the Wolf's code properly compiled as a Windows distribution binary a lot of you will continute to see this error |

Well we are seeing a nice steady amount of deposits Total HOdled:1,378,598 68.39% of total supply Visualized: As I'm sure many of you know, HOdl is a crypto project funded by the public. There was no premine or ICO fund collected, it had a 100% fair launch. As you can see we have been collecting bounties for things we need along the way. There is a core few of us, who have spent a good amount of our own funds (HODL, BTC and USD) on all these things so far. We need your help moving forward, we have set up a general funds address. We think this will be the best way to do this. Instead of every time we need something and have someone lined up to do it, coming to the community and waiting weeks to collect the funds. So what do we need these funds for? We are working on the website right now and we will need funds to host the site. Some of you may have seen that Fuzzblaws has been working on a custom HOdl block explorer. We will need funds to host this, we need to scale resources as traffic volume increases. We think you will all love what he has done with this block explorer. It has a Top HOdlers list by address, complete with number of active deposits, amount of HODL deposited and the Mature Value of each address. It also has charts showing how much of the total supply is HOdled at this moment, as well has how much of the total supply has come from HOdling. Those are just a few of the features he has brought to this new Block explorer. We will also need funds to get these stand alone miners released properly. As I'm sure you have all seen and tried some of the newly released miners, we still don't have a proper binary release of any of them. While we truly appreciate all of the hard work that went into all of them. We have bits and pieces of them spread out all over this thread. This is where the general funds would have come in handy, we could have gotten a binary release of Wolf's new miner, rather than just the source code which is all we could afford. As Freetrade has posted a few posts back, Wolf has agreed to provide the HOdlcoin community with an open-source, GBT CPU miner if a 1.25 BTC bounty can be raised. Look at this general fund as investing in the value of a coin you already own and may be HOdling for years to come. I don't know what you mean. I've compiled Windows binaries and used the same one on different machines with different CPUs and versions of Windows. There was no special setting for Windows distribution binary. It just worked, after I installed the necessary dependencies. Maybe you could post your console session with the command line and error message so people who are trying to help have something to work with, something that has been asked before. And don't tell other people how to fix your problem, especially when you haven't defined it. If you know what your problem is, fix it yourself and share your solution with everyone else. So step up, how does one build a Windows distribution binary? |

The same coins can be deposited and redeemed many times and the principal doesn't add to the coin supply. Perhaps a chart showing the contributions from mining and interest to the coin supply would be handy. |

Yes limited info on errors has been a theme me and the other working on this project have ran across.. it has lead us to close two issues on GitHub due to an inability to reproduce and lack of info... distribution binary = statically linked (self contained) binary package that requires no additional 3rd party libraries to be installed on the end user’s computer.. |

at YOBIT i hodl 3600 sat  its way cheaper then mining it's currently underpriced, it should be at 10k satoshi, if the demand will increase mining will be profitable again, at 5k satoshi it's already a bit profitable |

also seen zips with one or two DLLs included with the miner EXE. I guess they weren't statically linked either, but I
managed.
The HOdlcoin Qt wallet / Daemon is one such example of a distribution binary. (as are many other coin wallets). packaging a supporting .DLL(s) is also common, but the binary (.EXE) needs to be able to recognize and use the .DLL(s) |
