Well.. this is a difficult topic. I know that formally both Canada and Mexico are the co-hosts. At least on paper, they have the same rights as that of the United States. But at the same time, most of the matches are being staged in the United States and they are taking care of most of the expenses. So we can't say that in this case the status of the US is the same as that of the other two countries. However, I am not sure about the revenue distribution. IMO, revenues (apart from ticket sales) may be split equally between the three countries. But this is a European competition which is definitely very different from the local league. The pressure here is a lot more, so the mentality plays a big role in a competition like this. But we'll see how far Feyenoord will be able to go. Oh yes, Juventus will face a club that got rid of one of the favorites in the Europa League this season, Sporting. Spoorting could get rid of Arsenal in the previous round, and this is of course a big threat to Juventus. Another day, another game but the difference was the way both the teams batted. MI had a pathetic start as usual both the openers failed to give a good start. Whereas RCB had a little bit shaky start but both openers were going after the bowlers which ended up them winning the first match of this season.
It has become common to see players dropping important catches in this season. Both teams had an equal amount of catch drops. What I really liked was to see the confident in the eyes of Virat Kohli while he was batting. As usual he took his time but later on there was nothing that could have stopped him.
It's important for every team to aim for a winning start in the tournament. While the RCB's bowlers were in control of the game, Tilak Varma remained strong and contributed a competitive total for the Mumbai Indians. But, Mumbai Indians seem to have made a habit of losing their first match, and history repeated itself once again as they suffered another loss in their opening game of the tournament. On the other hand, it was a fantastic run-chase by the RCB. Virat Kohli, exhibited his top form and concluded the game in style with his usual T20 innings. It's always a pleasure to see him scoring runs. Mumbai's batting was weak. I consider this to be the main reason for their defeat. Their collection was only 55 runs after losing 4 wickets in the first 10 overs. In the next 10 overs though, they batted brilliantly. But 171 runs was not a good collection to win on such a batting friendly pitch. Because Bengaluru's squad has several experienced batsmen in the T20 format. Bengaluru team reached the target of victory by losing only 2 wickets. Virat Kohli and du Plessis formed an excellent partnership. Bengaluru collected 148 runs from the opening pair. Kohli remained unbeaten on 82 and du Plessis scored 73. Even in just 16.2 overs, Bengaluru reached the target. If Mumbai could have given a target of 30-35 more runs, then maybe Bengaluru would not have won the match so easily. In fact, Mumbai Indians scored very few runs. So I'm expecting Real Madrid will win with big margins in the first leg since it will played on Real Madrid's home. Chelsea doesn't need to win, they only need to make a draw at their best. Because if they get beaten with big margins, it will affect every players' psychology and think it's impossible to beat Real Madrid.
