201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: July 30, 2024, 01:11:24 PM
[edited out].
...... there is Bitcoin that is almost risk free when the plan is for long term?

I agree with every point you made in your post Moreno233 - except your point that bitcoin is almost risk free.  Even if their is potentially some technical truth to what you are saying, the way you said it has a potential to imply that bitcoin is guaranteed or that there is no risk.. even though you said "almost."

From my perspective, your use of the word "almost" does not relieve you from presenting a misleading assertion, even if you might be technically correct in that assertion.
Correction is taken as we learn every day. I think I got carried away by the fact that my Bitcoin investment have given me peace of mind so far. Considering where I'm coming from as a trader, risk is always a daily experience. I have also tried buying altcoins but the risk there even increased exponentially. When I started buying Bitcoin to hold, a lot of things changed for the better. Holding Bitcoin bring some kind of peace of mind that one could be tempted to conclude it was completely safe. Now I know it is wrong to make such assumption. Every investment have some level of risk just that some have lower risk while others have higher risk. This is important to avoid taking wrong decision.
Holding comes with peace of mind, as it's less risky than trading which i believe we can all agree. However there are still some persons that go with the notion of saying, " it's too risky not to take risk", as they see risk taking as an essential ingredient when venturing into any business or investment, they believe the higher the risk, the higher reward, so they go all in.
The point is that, some traders have the money to spend, so they see beyond the risk that an average trader might be seeing, and that is the reason why most of them are still succeeding.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Club loyalty or winning bet? on: July 29, 2024, 09:51:08 PM
Sports betting is a very passionate type of gambling. This is because some gamblers are supporters of a team or contestant before even placing bets on them. Some fans are so passionate about a club that they can risk betting on them even when they know that they lack the quality to win the game. They don't care if they win because they want to show their loyalty or support for their favorite clubs or teams.

A few days ago, two friends who were gamblers were discussing, and one of them said that he would be willing to lose a bet that would make him cash out $500 so that the club he supports could win the UEFA Champions League this season. The other one, who is also a fan of the same club, said his friend was stupid. He said he prefers to win the bet and doesn't care if the club wins the Champions League. The other diehard fan told him that he was not loyal to the club and was not worthy to be a fan.

I am also a fan of a club that I love, but I would prefer to win a $500 bet than to see them win the UCL. My loyalty doesn't supersede my quest for gambling wins. What's your view?
Ordinarily I cannot question people for the choices they make, I try as much as possible to respect it, even though I see that, it doesn't make much sense. As for me, haven been a gambler all this years, I'm only loyal to my gamble as long as it pays me, that includes betting against my favourite team to lose, especially in a situation where I know that they don't stand a chance to win, this is gambling and money is involved, emotions has little role to play.

A passionate football fan, might find it difficult to wrestle through the murky waters of gambling as he/she will be too emotional to take strong and decisive decisions when predicting because he/she will find it difficult to place a bet against the team his supporting, forgetting that gambling goes beyond you being fan.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: July 29, 2024, 09:15:00 PM
Girona will not have difficulty if they appear like last season. Bologna will also experience the same situation as Girona in the Champions League in a new format. We imagine Girona and Bologna as a team that just competed in the Champions League will be difficult, but I don't think they will experience the worst level of difficulty because they are ready to face competition in a new format that has been set will take place in the 2024/25 season.
Honestly, it is quite doubtful to expect Girona and Bologna to perform well in UCL. You must be aware that these teams have changed, they are no longer the same as the previous season. Some of the key players of Girona have moved to other teams, even their captain left the club. It will be very difficult to maintain the performance if some of key players are no longer in the squad. Meanwhile Bologna has changed their coach because Motta moved to Juventus. I am sure the performance of Bologna won't be the same as the previous season under the new coach. Even in domestic competitions, these teams may be difficult to maintain their performance. It will be harder to play in UCL, I am a bit worried with the performance of these teams in UCL. If they can't play optimally, I think they can't reach the knock-out stage.

I don't know about Bologna, but as for Girona I'm sure they will perform well, at the beginning of last season they were performing very well in their domestic league and even towards the middle of the season, at some point they were even at the top of the table in the Spanish la Liga for a while before Madrid took over the mantle. so I think they have the temperament and the composure to chat a new course in this their champions League journey. If Girona continue the way they played last season, then they are a team to watch out for.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 29, 2024, 05:06:37 PM

Man city 3 - 4 Celtic

We saw match between Celtic football team and Man City football team in the Kenan Memorial Stadium . That match was  not one sided and every person enjoyed this match . The shots of Man City team were more in number and shots on target were also more in number  but Man  City team could win this match because they did only 3 goals in this match and opponent team did 4 four goals in this match. Kühn was the person who played excellent role to win this match because he did 2 goals in this match and that is not easy to do 2 goals against Man City. Both team were of same capacity but onlyone teams wins the  match. Palma did excellent goal and after that no team did any goal and according to my point of view Palma is match winner and he did goal at best time and he did at 68 minutes of  match.
I feel maybe it's because the match was a pre-season match that was why Manchester City had to allow those number of goals, because I believe if it was a competition, I trust Manchester city would have done better, al lest not concede those number of goals. Though CITY tried to play to take the lead, but it was just an unfortunate day for the citizens.

Celtic on the other hand came out in full force with the mindset that they are playing against the premier League champions, so there is need to pull out all our arsenals against them, which they eventually did. Winning Manchester City 4-3 will certainly boost the moral of those Celtic players.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scared Money don't make money; gambling helps you delegate your money. on: July 29, 2024, 02:48:45 PM
Some people are scared of Gambling because they are afraid to loose money. Same reason why they probably don't want to start up a business or invest their money into something that might yield a fortune in the future because of the probability of failure.

Gambling is just same with delegating money in a normal enterprenural context, you keep your money idle and don't put it into something and it forever remains that way and might even suffer the effect of inflation, take a portion from it and invest it into something or place a bet with, you might lose it in a worse case scenario but the chances of winning is way much higher.

Let's not always look at gambling from a negative point of view, for me, gambling is just like I'm delegating a portion of my money into something that could yield greater returns for me and since I can do my analysis on games and it works well for me, gambling is another way of making money with money.

You want to remain stagnant? Become scared of putting your money to work for you, the reverse is literally gambling.
I don't think gambling and business or entrepreneurship should be in the same context, gambling is basically a prediction of an event and how the end results of that event will come out to be, however in predicting the results of that event, you will have to stake your money in line with the prediction you've given, more so the results can go either ways, it's either you win or lose. Meanwhile business or entrepreneurship as you may call it, involves buying and selling of goods and services either in the market or a choice location for profit making.

If you check at the risk factors involved in gambling, is higher than that of opening a business venture, of course businesses can collapse if not well managed, but that collapse can mostly happen in a rare occasions compared to the frequency at which some gamblers lose their money.
206  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What's your view on the proposed August 1st protest? on: July 27, 2024, 04:44:07 PM
Haven't gone through the demands that where listed by the protesters, they were thoughtful and well articulated, especially the case of the removal of fuel subsidy which has snowballed into causing hyperinflation and the weakening of the purchasing powers of the average Nigerian citizen. On that day I'll be coming out to match along with the protesters for government to look into the plight of Nigeria's and stop paying lips service to what we are facing as a people.

I can see from the media, they've paid a lot of persons to come and talk down on the protest and for people not to come out and protest, because they believe it will be hijacked by hoodlums, but they are forgetting that we've been hijacked by hoodlums in the leadership space, people that have little or no intention of bettering the lives of Nigerians except for themselves and their cronies.
We are not backing out, as we cannot sing kumbaya when it is not yet Uhuru, freedom comet by struggle.✊
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat standard vs gold and bitcoin standard on: July 27, 2024, 04:17:42 PM
I would like to learn more about fiat and why a fiat standard is doomed to fail. I am a complete newbie in everything economics.
Video sources are preferred but also quality tutorials are ok.

How is fiat created? Why is it debt-based? How does it create inflation? How do banks, central banks and world governments manipulate all this?
Why was the gold standard better, and what could happen under a bitcoin standard?

Bear with me, I dont know much about this thing. What would you suggest for a newbie who doesnt know much about the topic to do. The terminology will also probably be completely new to me.

THX
The number one reason why fiat fails is due to inflation, as it increases from time to time, so in most cases you see that the forces of demand and supply in one way or the other affect the prices of goods and services in the market which in turn weakens monitory values in most countries. The major policies for central banks in different countries to use is being controlled by policies of IMF and world Bank, because they are the big boys in policy formulations, they determine the value of your currency on the international market.
As for Gold, gold is a precious stone that has the same value in any part of the world, though the price can be manipulated on the international market, but same cannot be done with bitcoin because of its decentralized nature.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: July 27, 2024, 02:34:46 PM
Ordinary nobody goes into a business or investment with the mindset of losing, but however for the business of trading it is inherently required that as a beginner you must get a mentor or somebody who teaches you ways and means on how to go about trading, so in teaching you, he will tell you about the fact that you will get losses along the line, because the market variance and force's can work against your predictions anytime.
So for me your mentor should be your guide so as to reduce those risk, so you don't just walk into trading without caution inside you.
At the same time some of these mentors especially those one on YouTube that only want their videos to be the best, they don't speak much about losses only how to make profit and you'd agree with me that many who only think of getting more profit are those who uses their imagination to start up trading, they just picture themselves to be at the top above every other starter.
I think getting someone like a mentor shouldn't be a problem but the issue is how good is the mentor because everyone needs to be careful not to be in the losing side of trading, not everyone we call mentor has what it takes to guide someone to the right direction.
My decision to pause my Bitcoin trading at least for now and concentrate more on building a Bitcoin portfolio through long term HODL was not a hasty one. I have thought about it properly, following my experience in trading. I have tried a lot of things including paying for several mentorships, using Youtube and many other resources and practicing on demo which usually yield good results but when real money is involved, it is a different ball game. I'm not saying that it is impossible to succeed as a trader but the process is not just a straight forward one like most mentors and Youtubers will make you to believe. Of course the risk is also in another level that should be a huge source of concern for anyone aspiring to take that route.

Another thing I also noticed while trading is that you can make profits for one month of trading and lose all in few bad trading days which means work done becomes zero... no progress, all wasted efforts. This was what made me to sit down and analyze the process again and then decided that instead of this back and forth, let me change strategy that will give me better results. So, for me, trading is not bad but for now, I will have to focus on what is working fine and giving me peace of mind.

I was not discouraging anybody from HODLing or investing in bitcoin, as investing in bitcoin is one of my primary responsibilities in my constituency, especially conscientizing the people i can about the need to invest in bitcoin. But what I was pointing out was the fact that, for any beginner that fathoms the idea of wandering into trading, the first projections that will be placed on your training table as a beginner are the losses that are involved in trading,  which are the prerequisite knowledge you need to equip yourself before venturing into trading, however for the fact that you didn't succeed in trading, doesn't mean others will not.

Of course investment in bitcoin and holding is less risky compared to trading, but some persons that have the mind to trade wouldn't be patient enough to hold, so the options are there for everyone to choose
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: July 27, 2024, 02:00:34 PM
Kane has no titles at all and the situations are completely different on all sides. I'm not saying that a player like Mbappe is a panacea, but he significantly strengthens an already very strong squad that is capable of winning the Champions League. Real have been playing at the highest level in the Champions League for the last couple of seasons, so I don't rule out that happening again this season
These two players are of course quite different because Mbappe has won many trophies with PSG, but he failed to win the UCL trophy with PSG. And if Harry Kane certainly hasn't tasted a prestigious trophy with his old team or with Bayern Munich so he is quite ambitious to win a trophy this season. So speaking of these two players, of course they are strikers who are hungry for goals because they are often the top scorers on the teams they play for. For this reason, we will see how they fare in the Champions League this season.
For Real Madrid, they are getting stronger and in my opinion, Mbappe's arrival has made them favorites again to become champions this season.
Apart from that, we cannot forget the words of luck and surprises that will decorate the Champions League journey this season. Will Leverkusen make a surprise in the Champions League because previously Leverkusen broke many records in their journey in the European league and in the domestic league.
Kane for me, doesn't even need to be in the picture, ever since he left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich, I haven't seen much significance in terms of improvement in goal scored compared to when he was in Hotspur, even in the just concluded Europe 2024, his contributions to the English national team was less impactful.  let's just hope the arrival of Vincent Kompany will spark up an improvement on kane and the Bayern team this coming.
Mbappé will certainly increase the numbers of accolades in his career upon joining Madrid, he has been passionate to win the champions league and Madrid has all the trappings to give him that opportunity, I just believe we will see more of what the French Man has in-stock in Santiago bernabéu.

As for Leverkusen, of course they will come with a lot of suprise no doubt, but don't forget that, this is not the Europa League, this is the champions League which comes with different aura, they will have to face the very best team from different leagues in Europe.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: July 26, 2024, 07:42:53 PM
Mourinho managed to win in his first match coaching Fenerbache, as you said Fenerbache was lucky enough to maintain their victory after Lugano tried to catch up with them in that match, but to be honest, I haven't seen many changes that have occurred in Fenerbache current style of play and If you pay attention, it seems that the Fenerbache players have not been able to maximize  from Mourinho style and playing strategy, So far we know Mourinho as a coach who often applies solid defense (parking the bus) when they are ahead, but in fact in this match it was very visible that the defense possessed by Fenerbache is very fragile even though at the end of the match they were able to secure the victory, the first leg may be in accordance with Fenerbache hopes but the second leg will be very difficult even though Fenerbache will play at home.
José Mourinho in turkey and expects quite different dimensions and heighten level with the coach. He have his own style of play and his oppositions are there to ensure he doesn't secure his ambitious run with his new club. Perhaps one of the good thing to happen to Fenerbahçe this season. We know the records been set by José Mourinho in Europe and he's not bending down because he will fight his way through for the purpose to lift major titles for Fenerbahçe.

Very important victory for Fener and Mourinho against Lugano in away game. This victory placed them with first odds to qualify further and I'm well surprised to see Fener having a strong attack and score 4 goals but I'm a bit shocked to see a team of Mourinho conceding 3 goals in his first important game and I'm sure he will work a lot more in defense because it's clear that his team needs to learn his tactics of having a great defensive style. Overall , I think Fener did enough to secure the next phase of UCL qualifiers and they do have real chances to catch the groups.  Cool
Mourinho main target at the moment is to restore Fenerbache glory as well as break Galatasaray dominance in the Turkish league, fenerbache have very big ambitions and that is why they dare to recruit a very experienced coach like Mourinho at the moment and it looks like Mourinho will be able to do it, but on one condition that he will get full support from of Fenerbache management, currently Mourinho has brought Fenerbache to a slightly higher ladder in the Champions League qualification but there will be a difficult job currently waiting for Mourinho in the next match, so far the Champions League and even the qualifying phase present very tight competition so that each team It requires concentration and a qualified squad to be able to qualify for the next round, although I doubt that Fenerbache will be able to talk much in the Champions League next season, but I hope that Mourinho will be able to repeat his current success like when he coached Porto in last 2004.
Mourinho is one man that enjoys attention, so in getting that attention, he needs to give Galatasaray a run for their money in the Turkish domestic League, and he has started bringing brilliant players to help him achieve that, he has just recently signed one of the best forwarders in England Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle united, Saint-Maximin is one player i admire his style of play and dribbling skills so much, Mourinho really has the eagles eyes. Let's just have a dose of the special one again in the champions league.
211  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Is education really important anymore for the Nigerians? on: July 26, 2024, 07:03:51 PM
I was in a car yesterday returning back from work, I over heard one man complaining very bitterly that he doesn't know where this country is heading anymore. That he got 3 children and he have tried his best he worked very hard to make sure his first son and daughter becomes full time graduated from anything concerning school side, says but it seems his efforts was wasted cause up till now the children haven't gotten good work with the good grade they had.

They have applied to many companies most of them will tell them to bring money before starting, and it's not a little amount of money that you'll just wake up and get it immediately, then his daughter had the chance to work as a government worker but one man with a big stomach was asking her to sleep with him before anything else. That he wish those times he was wasting time working so hard to trained them in school he would have rather paid for them to learn an and work.

But I saw it in news earlier this day's that the president tinubu is giving 5000, NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICES CORPS(NYSC) you can check it more on here
https://nairametrics.com/2024/05/14/fg-to-empower-5000-entrepreneurial-nysc-members-with-n10-million-each/

And with this it seems school it's important in Nigeria, cause if it's not important the FG wouldn't have be focusing to give out such amount out to the (NYSC). I know their are so many graduates at there not working yet. Do we still believe the government are going to do something about this work issues? Why not just be like as you're graduating you're working directly no wasting time. Wouldn't it be nice that way? I say make I try explain my mind. Waiting you got to talk about this issue?
It's bad that after graduation people don't find jobs that will enable them apply the skill set education has given to them. But the mindset of the some parents needs to be enlightened, for them to understand that educating your child the University level doesn't guarantee automatic employment after school, yes you can be lucky to find good job but there is no certainty. However education is a masterpiece that broaden your sense of reasoning for you understand that you can improvise and create a part way for yourself hence jobs are are not fought coming.

So for me, I would have advised the man to take a chill pill, because that education he has given his children is the greatest empowerment for them to easily navigate through the hurdles of the society and succeed, so with time he will begin to yield the fruit of his labour.
212  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Tinubu has agreed 70k minimum wage for Nigerian works on: July 26, 2024, 04:45:18 PM
After all the long deliberation between the federal government and the organised Labour President Tinubu has finally agreed with the Labour that Nigeria minimum wage will be 70k monthly, so actually my question now is that does the minimum of the 70k involves every sector in the country including normal company workers? Or is it only applicable to government workers?, however the reason why I'm asking this is because Nigeria government can be very confusing at times.

And also lets say it involves all the sectors in the country including private companies how would the federal government make sure those private companies comform to there regulations? Because one of the things I understand about this country is that they are very good in making decisions but maintaining them is always the problem because they don't have a good law enforcement agency.

So what do you guys think about the new development by our president Tinubu?

Source: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/714906-updated-tinubu-approves-n70000-minimum-wage-for-nigerian-workers
I appreciate the fact that the President has recognized that there is need for a constitutional review of the minimum wage. But the problem is deeper than that, 70 thousand naira looks good but on the average, what can it really get for you in the market considering the hike in food prices. The people's purchasing power is eroding due to inflation, so we will appreciate it, if the government can do more in terms fighting inflation and restoring back the value of the naira, that way the 70 thousand naira can be seen to be appreciated.  Though the Nigerian labour congress said, they will be coming back to demand what they refer to as a living way, which pegged the amount around 250 thousand.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 26, 2024, 11:09:59 AM
So for me, I will certainly place arteta over ETH. if there are any magic ETH wants to perform, let him do it this coming season.

Coaches can always make confident sentences. Ten Hag seems to want to make an opinion to Man United supporters, he is the right choice for Man United. Of course, with the achievement statistics I get, I think Arteta is a little better at the moment. Although this season Man United got 1 FA Cup. But in the current game conditions, Arsenal is better than Man United. But indeed, in the end, the cup is indeed the main goal of the team.

In fact, Erik ten Hag is a coach who does not accept being blamed because after all, from several defeats obtained by Manchester United, Erik ten Hag also blames the performance of players more often. Therefore, the reality is that Erik ten Hag always wants to be considered perfect, despite the fact that there are many mistakes made by Erik ten Hag such as the choice of purchasing players and also players who were discarded before.

Thus, I think Erik ten Hag does not have a good attitude as a manager. Because after all, as a manager also has the right to admit his mistakes and there is no need to be prestigious to admit mistakes. But if we compare Erik ten Hag with Arteta even though Arsenal didn't get the trophy but anyway, at least Arteta managed to make Arsenal have a more consistent performance compared to Manchester United.
I have in several occasions complained about ETH attitude, as that has been one of the underlining factor's affecting his coaching style. I remember his ordeal between him and Cristiano Ronaldo, where he clearly showed that he lacks the managerial skills for conflict resolution and management of players that are topnotch in his team, same thing happened between him and jadon Sancho, where he couldn't manage the situation properly and Sancho left. One thing I've observed is the fact that, The choices of players he always gets, don't always turn out to be perfect replacement, as they always struggle to fit in into the team.

So for me, ETH should be getting players that are perfect replacement for the wings he wants replacement or support, just the way pep guardiola gets good players to replace a certain wing and the result will come out perfectly.

214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: July 25, 2024, 08:42:31 PM
For anybody that will fathom the idea of going into trading, the person must have already known the implications involved, as the risk factors are the primary projections you will be taught at the beginning stage, however this does not mean that experts too don't make losses, because losses are part of the knowledge required for you to know how to be strategic in your trading journey. So is all depends on the individual  to know how to manage the risk factors in your trading. but however this is a pointer to the fact that trading has its own success story and volatility, just the way bitcoin holding has its own success story and volatility.

Many never have it in mind that when starting or going into trading that there must be losses, they only see themselves as those who gain more than they can lose whenever they start, that mindset is good and it makes some to be mindful of how they make their trading not by thinking that they know it all, that's where the down fall of many traders beginning.
The way you plan yourself and using other people's mistakes to learn can improve the way you go about business in the crypto world, sometimes taking that risk do pay more than being too careful but the question is "who doesn't want to make profit and who wants to stay losing"? Is an individual choice to make and learning from others is one of the key factors to survive as a trader and we shouldn't see those we seek for assistance as the best, is their experience they're giving to us not that they are 100% perfect.

215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Aviator games on: July 25, 2024, 08:12:45 PM
Why don't we talk about aviator games here? It looks like the least played casino game. I don't understand it is there anyone who plays it and what's it like? I have watched YouTube videos on it, but still don't get how it works. And the conversations here about it is scanty.
I've played aviator games several times, but trust me is one of the fastest ways to lose your money. It's not predictable and highly volatile, you can be winning good amount of money within 20 seconds but the next 20 seconds is not guaranteed because it can turn the other way round and finish your money within a twinkle of an eye. So most people always avoid playing aviator because of the high rate of volatility or maybe because there is really no game plan on how to play it. for me it's one of those games you win based on pure luck.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Winner: Atalanta on: July 25, 2024, 01:05:01 PM
Atalanta was the team that made this year's winner lose, wow, it really wasn't a match as expected. Lookman sealed the match with his goals. I have never seen Bayern Leverkusen so helpless, I'm talking about this season. Xabi Alanso fell victim to wrong game analysis and wrong choices. Atalanta fought throughout the match and did not lose their resistance and tried to play ahead even when they were ahead. Bayern Leverkusen remained at a very low tempo, compared to Atalanta, I think they did not expect Atalanta's constant pressure and they had a mental collapse because they could not play their own game. Bayern Leverkusen fans supported their team until the end of the match, which has another beautiful side.
I agree with you, Bayern Leverkusen already where the favorite side to win, and that was on everyone's lips, because looking at the parameters on ground as at then, they had more advantage, they just won the bundesliga with an incredible record of undefeated games, so who wouldn't go for Leverkusen.

Atalanta approached the game with an entirely different spirit, they where just good at the midfield and defence, there attack was a different story because Ademola lookman wasn't a strikes the Leverkusen defence early took cognizance of, by the time they knew it, he had already singlehandedly scored 3 goals to seal the winning, and that was the only underlining defensive error xabi alonso didn't see  coming.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 25, 2024, 12:20:57 PM

This is the fifth year running that Manchester City has dominated the EPL. Pep Guardiola has dominated over every single manager in the EPL including Jurgen Klopp, Mikel Arteta and others. But Erik Ten Hag sees things differently, he says Pep Guardiola is the only manager to have won more trophies than him in recent times. In the past two years where ETH has been Manchester United’s manger, he’s had two trophies to show in his acquisition. But by the standard of Manchester United, this shouldn’t be something to brag about. They have fallen down the pecking order. Manchester United Standard should be competing for league dominance and fighting for UEFA Champions league.

Looking at the stats and the performance of Manchester United in the last two seasons. Do you think Erik Ten Hag has bragging rights?

Come to think of it ETH is right, since he came to the EPL no manager have won any trophy that Man City are also competing and he has been the second best, where we have Arteta, Klopp and the others, you see him getting a trophy out of the two coaches so why are we saying he isn't the second best? Fine Manchester United haven't been pretty good but let's give the man some credit for the little he has done with the side by winning something no matter how small it is and some would want ETH to win the EPL title but he can't win it because they're not up to that level.
What ETH said was the truth here.  Ten Hag counted it since he came to United, and it's not about overall performance. Ten Hag won two trophies in his two seasons at Manchester United. Arteta and Klopp are tied for third with one trophy each. Arteta won 1 Community Shield and Klopp 1 Carabao Cup. It makes sense for Ten Hag to claim he's the best after Pep Guardiola. He did not count the overall performance, and It was only since 2022/2023. Ten Hag is now rebuilding his club seriously. We may see Manchester United come back to compete with City and Arsenal for the EPL trophy.

ETH should cut us some slack, he hasn't really shown too much of excellence to pride himself to be the second best after pep guardiola, the aesthetics of his overall performance for last season and the season before doesn't place him above Mikel arteta, we respect the fact that he won the 2023/2024 FA cup which gave him the leverage to qualify for the Europa league next season, meanwhile Mikel arteta is competing on a higher ground in the champions league. So for me, I will certainly place arteta over ETH. if there are any magic ETH wants to perform, let him do it this coming season.

People choose trade and end up with lose basically because they lack the skills and knowledge when it comes to trading field. For example, an investor will always go for investment meanwhile traders will go for trading so all this doesn’t matter. The only problem I get with traders or rather newly traders with zero strategy is they always want quick profit without learning first and most times they feel trading is easy compared with investing but that’s a lie, there’s this saying “what you know best will always speak for you “ meaning everyone should have the basic knowledge first before going deeply for example; bitcoin investment is program as a long term investment whereby an investor is expected to buy and hold secondly emergency funds is also needed more like a back up fund, etc. After reading different comments I think I understand, maintaining discussion is hard most times mostly when the discussion is not about trade rather holding so it’s best we try not to go off as there’s a board for trade and different kinds of discussions.

Trading bitcoin offers quick profits which attracts many individuals who might not really or actually know the high level of risk involved resulting to loss. It only takes a very skillfull and  good trader to profit from trading and they are very rare and only few of them can make profit out of trading.  Trading is very complex making it too challenging for profit making especially to those with shallow knowledge.  The rate of success in trading cannot be compared to that of bitcoin investment, bitcoin investment has very high rate of successful beneficials. Holding Bitcoin has generally outperformed trading due its simplicity and the effectiveness of strategy like DCA. Its important  to promote long term Bitcoin investment over trading, holding Bitcoin for a long term have historically shown more consistent and reliable results compared to trading especially for those looking forward to grow their investment with minimum risk.

220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson was sanctioned as a Pro Fight! Who wins? on: July 24, 2024, 04:48:34 PM

Mike Tyson +130

Jake Paul -160

Jake Paul can never be on Mike Tyson's level...but funny things are happening these days,  a lot of things are now scripted just for entertainment purposes, Jake Paul is young and still in his prime, he has a lot of energy and resilience, mike Tyson on the other hand is old and no longer the fighter he used to be, but if I had a hundred million I would place my bet on Tyson to win, He has all the experience he needs to knock out Paul, he's the fastest boxer alive after Mohamed ali
I can only place that kind of amount on mike Tyson in 1998 and not 2024. The last video of mike Tyson that I saw, he was moving on a wheelchair and i think he suffered an injury or something, but he did not look too fit. Just like you rightly put it, the fight is just for entertainment purposes else I don't see any reason why Tyson isn't fighting an opponent within his age range but somebody much younger, I feel it will be censored a little bit to reduce the aggression.

Those fast moves and punches we use to see Mike Tyson do has all been eroded by age, i will even pray if he can stand his feet by the third round, because jake Paul has all the trappings to knock him out on the second round.
