When you say "re-auction," do you mean to re-auction the mint mark choice (as we are doing here) or do you mean re-auction the free gold coin? If you mean to re-auction the mint mark choice, then I would advise against that, because it may be complicated, since we would need to approve any mint mark choice, even in an auction not run by us. However, if you mean to re-auction the free gold coin, then yes! Please feel free to do that.

Simply stated...

The manhole cover, as a canvas, represents the intersection of technological advances, old (2500 BCE) and new (2008-2009).

The freshly spitted-out gum wad represents our recent rejection of old, stale, flavorless — arguably quite overly-chewed at this point — fiat currency.

The discarded [bitcoin] coin represents the inevitable acceptance of cryptocurrency in the near future. Within our lifetime, cryptocurrency will be so commonplace that we will hardly give its existence a second thought, much like a simple “penny” dropped on the street.

The lost bitcoin ATM receipt, which records conversion from USD to BTC (and vice versa), is there to illustrate the current point in cryptocurrency’s timeline — the point somewhere between the old fiat of the past (gum wad) and the inevitable future of bitcoin / cryptocurrency (penny). Plus, it acts as an actual receipt of funding for the art piece and acts as a sort of COA.

And the yellow line? Streets have yellow lines.

As many of you know, for the last SIX YEARS, we've auctioned the mint mark space on our classic Copper Collection to the highest bidder, and every year we have a TON of fun doing it!

Traditionally, our Precious Metals Collection — SILVER and GOLD — has been mint marked with the respective chemical symbols (Ag and Au). However, this year, upon special request, we are auctioning these LIMITED EDITION mint mark spaces on our upcoming 2021 Bitcoin Penny® SILVER and GOLD Commemorative Coins!


PRIZE

In addition to seeing YOUR chosen mint mark on our upcoming 2021 Bitcoin Penny® Precious Metals Collection, the highest bidder for the SILVER mint mark wins one FREE SILVER coin, and the highest bidder for the GOLD mint mark wins one FREE GOLD coin!

Anti-Sniping Rule / Grace Period: There will be a grace period of 10 minutes following the last bid. When 10 minutes pass without a new bid, the auction will be officially ended. For example, if someone places a bid on Friday, July 30 at 2:55PM, then the auction will extend until 3:05PM. If another bid is placed at 3:03PM, then the auction extends until 3:13PM, and so forth.
