I think I've discovered the problem, here:
Shaggy thinks a real town works like SimCity.

Promotes Neural Repair Vitamin C Folic Acid B6 & B12 Vitamin E Ginger Omega 3 I gotta hand it to you Shaggy, this is some of the best actual research I've seen out of you yet. I know you still have your fingers in your ears, but I'll ask anyway, maybe someone will quote me: Have you thought out how you're (or if) going to farm all of this, and still feed the people? Some of these things grow very poorly in the southwest, so would need, at the very least, a greenhouse. Since you got quoted I will reply. Please read post #1, about using geo-domes for farming. This is exactly what I am talking about, you want to stop being ignored, but you still haven't read the very first post of this thread. There was exactly as much information in that post as there was in this one: "We will be using geodomes for greenhouses." OK, Great. Are you cognizant of all the various disciplines required to make a functional greenhouse? Are you aware of the number of different climates required for all of your food and research materials? Have you planned out how many different greenhouses you're going to need, and thus how many people you're going to need to maintain them? Starting a town is a BIG project, and it just seems to me like you've bitten off more than anyone can chew.

If I were one of those cops, I would need a change of pants.

And what's going to be the budget for that? Inb4 wait for the video.

Wait, didn't you already post that? Yeah, that's what I thought. See, I do read your posts!

These guys are clearly not 'organized' for some purpose. No political movement, no ideology. It is really pure frustration by common people against authoritarianism. At least this is what it looks like.
To be frank, I'd doubt that they could topple the government. I am not sure if that is what they want either. I think if the government said "ok we cancel the plan to demolish the park" and pulled the cops back, they may as well go back home.
And frankly, that would be the best result for all involved. Historically, when a mob topples a government over an unpopular policy, the end result is not good. Now, if they had a goal in mind, something other than inchoate rage, then they might be able to get something done. Probably still end up bad, but at least there's a chance.

Lol, two people I've ignored because they won't read anything I write before replying, having a discussion with each other on my thread. You ignored us for being critical of your ideas, nothing more, and nothing less. And frankly, any idea that can't stand up to a little criticism is not worth having.

I don't get why people end up so angry about an idea.
Not angry, just supportive of the idea but not when the creator's answers to everything is "yes, we will give you that too". It turns a good idea into a non-feasible idea. And when most people think Bitcoin town with no government and no taxes they think of a libertarian/ancap town. Not a commune. I'm probably the harshest critic of Shaggy's ideas, and even I'm not "mad" about them. I just know that most of them won't work, and the rest are so poorly thought out as to be little more than hopes. Maybe 1 in 20 of his ideas are feasible for real-world application.

I suspect the entitlements will "win" in the long run, in that they will be what topples the system.
Thank god for the baby boomers. The first waves are starting to retire, and you can already see the cracks starting. By the time the whole group is out of the workforce, the welfare/warfare state will be drained dry. I've heard that up north, deer can be killed simply by being drained dry by a swarm of mosquitoes. You're thinking ticks, i think, though i've only seen that in some documentary. Whatever. The imagery is even moar suitable. Parasites, at any rate. If you follow the course of the "greatest generation," you see that they're a really powerful demographic. They got some serious changes made back in the 60's and 70's, though not as much as they hoped, in the 80's and 90's, they influenced car and house design (to say nothing of all the other consumer industries), and now in the 00's and 10's whole industries are springing up to care for their failing health. Come the 20's and 30's, they'll likely be responsible for the fall of an empire. "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." - George Carlin

Anarchy is the non-patriarchal, non-monogamous, autark, selfsufficient, matrilineal community, which is not taxed and dominated by masters, rulers, strangers.
Only an agrarian, matrilinear society community could be free from oppression.
Do those two statements look the same to you? They're not word for word, if that's what you mean. But they convey the same meaning. Don't forget, what you actually said was: So, only an agrarian, matrilinear society is truly free?
You're doing interpretive acrobatics, and then go round telling others about using dictionary definitions. And all that for what? So you can avoid confronting the truth that there's no such thing as "true freedom"? Hahahaha! So, there is no way for anyone to be completely free from coercion, so I should stop fighting it, huh? Well, no matter what you do, people are still going to rob, rape and murder. Should we, therefore, accept these actions? Just shrug and say, "Well, it happens," when a crime is committed?

Now that is a picture. I recently saw a gallery on Google+ of some pictures with captions detailing what is going on, I'll try to share it here, But I make no guarantees that it will work. Here is the gallery. (looks like it works OK, let me know if not, and I'll share them here manually)

I honestly don't know what to make of this picture, it looks like some asshole cops decided to harass some people in a park, and set up a riot line to make sure nobody escaped their attention.
I mean, counting the photographer, there's only 4 people on this side of the riot shields. Maybe the real action is off to the right of frame?

Hmm. I wonder what food it would be more beneficial to plant in a limited space garden... what sort of garden would be the most nutritionally complete, and how much space would be required per person?
I might do some research on that.
Heard a guy come on Bloomberg over sirius/xm the other day that is on a liquid diet only, called it soylent, I kid you not. When he mentioned the name I thought that Bloomberg or sirius was running a spoof. Well, there is a robotics company named Cyberdyne. I'm beginning to think these things are named as jokes.

This is my question. If there would be no state monopoly on violence (=regulation), what would stop me from killing my competitor instead of improving my product? A bullet is surely cheaper than investing in actual innovation is.
Well there never has been a stateless (post-state) society so there are only theoretical answers. Uhm. No. There, you're wrong. Somalia is post-state, and if it's a bad place to live, that's mostly because of how awful the State was before it collapsed. They have a functioning polycentric law system, which pre-existed the state, and picked up right where the state left off when it collapsed, and life has greatly improved since the collapse of the State. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xeer
