loshia,

It appears that my most recent dogie block 1027508 wasn't paid to me.   It went with the 500ish doge payout to

DFeviTwbDbJXgjPRS6zxe74Z4hodvRrTKP

Not sure why that happened..  is that one of your addresses?

ehhh
Yah it is mine... It seems a bug from my side ...any way. I see you are using nicehash and it is not your first time mining here Wink And it is the first time that this happens. Is that correct? If yes can you tell me if you entered something unusual this time inside your pass and corrected it afterwards. It will help me diagnose my bug and fix it. From pool logs I can see all was good but....obviously it was not
Thank you in advance

Please excuse me for inconvenience
best
PS: aaaah I found why that happend. The reason is that yo fond a block just three secs after worker authorization. So it explains the story. Anyway it is fixed in new server which will be deployed within days

Prelude,
I have just done quck pol restart and I see you are reconnected so all should be good with your old LTC and new doge address;)

New features are comming in mail notification for your solved blocks and worker disconnects which are configurable inside your password if you want to use them of course.
Just keep on eye on thread or pool home page for details
They will be deployed with new server very soon probably next year Cheesy

Prelude,

Is the above address your?
If yes coins are moved somwhere already...
I have recently changed pool doge generation address (pool restarted today) and I found out that more than 100 confirms are required for coins to mature. What I am trying to say is that I blindley followed BTC rules but they are different for doge. I am too tired right now to check doge code to find out how many blocks are required.

Any way I will dig it ASAP and And I will fix pool  block stats

That is indeed my DOGE address at poloniex. Are you saying the coins aren't lost, and that I'll eventually get them? Would be cool if so, but no biggie if not. Smiley Wallet is almost finished syncing, I'll continue mining to it instead.

I'm enjoying the pool so far, loshia. Much better than nicehash solo which is what I was using previously when I felt like having some solo fun.
To Use your wallet for sure is a better  idea. And a friendly advise when you sync it never ever upgrade your Dogecoin. I upgraded pool client once and suddenly lost 100000 coins Angry then I lost the rest 100000 or so by mistake. But this is not end of the world. The important part is to have fun and learn from our mistakes.
Please change your LTC address also if you can. I was playing with pool code and found an issue with reconnect. What I am trying to say is there is slight chance if you use your old LTC address your new doge address to be silently ignored due to pool specific code.
Another option is to post here so I can do pool restart. I am deploying new server and that bug is fixed there.
And finaly if you happen to find coins to your old doge address because of the pool I will refund them count on that Wink

Do I need a DOGE wallet + address, or can I simply use an exchange's DOGE deposit address for my found blocks? Don't really want to install the DOGE wallet.
It is up to you. I will say as log as your exchange deposit address is permanent use it. Jus keep an eye on it. That is not the best you can do though but if things go wrong with exchange considering current exchange rate the loss will not be so big

I'm having some issues connecting my A2's... using my LTC address as username and my DOGE address as password gets me a 'pool' not 'self' designation. I know the addresses are valid... is there a prefix or suffix the stratum is looking for?
Can you pm me your LTC address please. I am going to check this right away. Meanwhile your password should like as:
:YOURDOGEADDRESS
Do not skip : in front and make sure there is no space at the the end
Something like
x:DD5SVCG5mD3bYaTiRu4pJWAukxaPV8puK5
10x

Got it running now - no worries. Didn't see that I needed x: included in the password. That got it straightened out.
Super Wink
Meanwhile doge block page stats is looking as usual and working.

Doge blocks page looks buggy. Last 10 blocks are shown as orphaned, but they are not. I am going to fix it ASAP

Congrats on your first block solve... and absolutely absurd good luck, too.  Only 364,375,814 shares.  That's 0.38%.

thanks mate, we only had 2.15Th on the pool at the time aswell Smiley christmas miracles do happen Smiley
So assuming this was your hash rate only you do have 25 coins to deposit for escrow just in case Wink
As I said miracles do happen but only some times......

Fuck this pool and anyone who continues to mine here.
+10000
Fuck them all dude. I do strongly support your oppinion!
212  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: SPV Mining and how to slow it down ... if you care to ... on: December 20, 2015, 01:52:40 PM
Who are the pools who keep doing this and empty blocking?
If a pool mines empty block it does not mean that pool is SPV mining for sure Wink
But some pool ops have clearly stated something like: yes we are innovative and because of that we are and will continue with SPV minig. Which probably means something like we are big you are small so go and fuck yourselves
And all those pools have tx and non emty blocks also + support from the community. how pathetic...it is about time all of you who mine there for whatever reason to stop doing so if you truly understand and believe that SPV is bad
No ifs and no excuses just fuckem

I am glad to hear that

4 days + and a f.cking stale block ... Huh
Do not get disappointed dude. That shit happens at times. Doc said once that people tend to remember bad things in mining and do forget good ones quickly. Unfortunately he was right in my oppinion. But it is time to change this  Wink
Just be patient and do not change pool just because something bad happend. No pool is immuned to that and no mater what people told you this shit happens everywhere .
That was my number one pool when I was mining. As people say the one and only. I do miss times when I was in top three hashers here......with just one avalon from batch one shipped on time and a couple of Icarus boards...
215  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Stratum protocol discussion on: December 19, 2015, 03:15:30 PM
Stratum is fine except for 2 things.

1) difficulty isn't associated with work
Solution that resolved this: difficulty affects the next work item

2) the initial connection is convoluted for the miner
Cause of this problem: Getwork and GBT
Solution: well no one has done it, but it would be best to just ignore getwork and GBT connections and throw them away
cgminer already ignores getwork connections

Stratum uses too much bandwidth. I would like to see a zeroconf mining protocol which could deliver new job notifications to every miner in a big farm (same network) with only one packet from the pool server.
Come on same network big farm even 5 usd China switch can handle that. I am  sure that you have even cheaper ones laying arround Grin You do not need Cisco for this job. Your goal is to force other people do work for you so you can save a bug from hosting expnses right Grin I like your style though Grin
Some thorny from l2 networking if that is what you REALY want ...please note you will still gona need 5 usd switches here and there in the big farm

In general what you need is multicast and some strtum miner hacks Grin
As a big pool op it will be a peace of cake for you to make first two. But for the third one you need to have the sources of your crappy CHINESE borders miners fork. And as we all know it is a top secret STOLLEN FROM COMMUNITY and it is CLOSED. And you will have to pay a lot of money to your brothers to get ti;D Grin. What a irony dude Cheesy
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Run a pool on a Raspberry Pi 2 ? on: December 19, 2015, 05:35:57 AM
Hello everyone ! I was just wondering about the capacibilities of the Raspberry Pi 2. Would it be powerful enough to run a pool ? And what about Raspberry Pi classic, A+, B, B+ and Zero ? If the Rapsberry Pi 2 can't handle a pool, don't lose your time searching on Google the specifications of the other models, they are all less powerful.
I advise you to forget it and use real pc. The powerful the better Wink
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: LTC.TBDICE.ORG - PURE SOLO LTC/DOGE POLL 180 LTC/370 DOGE blocks solved! on: December 19, 2015, 05:13:15 AM
Nice work!  I really like all the stats.  Great running pool.
Thanks. By the way the pool is having amazing luck lately. And most important is that pool is working great and can take a lot of hash. Three are a plenty of HW resources available on my octa core 64 GB RAM collocated  server.
There were some hash spikes 20GH+ from rentals probably, and pool does not even notice ithem except graph speed spike of ourse Wink Have in mind that for real solo pool + doge MM a lot more cpu cycles are needed especialy when it comes to stratum template assembly + unique MM header and share submission + validation. Some new features are comming in also. I have pool thread in litecointalk with more details for those who are interested.

218  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE/CN servers 141 blocks solved! on: December 18, 2015, 08:22:36 PM
Con,
Would you be so kind to explain what is the story with this commit.

Don't use persistent connections to bitcoind
https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool/commits/d2d5a5daaad5d6e2f969d8479b6752ef667e4b06

I never had an issue with presistent connections to BTCD and lo-127.0.0.1. In my understanding it will take longer to reopen tcp on each rpc call or I am missing something.......

Thanks
Newer bitcoind keeps dropping out during the rpc calls meaning they needed to be reopened and repeated and I needed a workaround - I couldn't find out why it started doing this. In my benchmarking, reopening the connection every time added less than 1ms to rpc calls when the rpc calls themselves take up to 100s of milliseconds but stopped them dropping out in the middle of the rpc calls.
Thank you very much that makes sense.
