Guess them btc, ltc wallets are empty or wallet server down...

Since they ignore users for mounth this exchange is DEAD.

I got my withdraw yesterday, so it's not totally dead.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1156268.0

I can't post in the trollbox, support never responded to a withdrawl when a coin was delisted. XRP wallet says "frozen." Lot's of problems going on right now I feel like.

What?? Is he saying he's going to launch his own brand of Bitcoin ATMs? Maybe they'll come with Mike Tyson's Punchout and if you can beat Tyson you'll get some free bits, like a faucet Wink

Plus 1,000,000 to Punchout idea.

I wonder if he will do a Bitcoin episode on Mike Tyson Mysteries?

perhaps if you can't beat Glass Joe you have to pays funds into the faucet...  Grin
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 blocks in 4 minutes on: July 27, 2015, 05:24:10 PM
For more clarity, I was wondering what the probability of such of an event was.
The time it takes to mine one block is exponentially distributed with λ (mean) = 10 minutes.

This means the total time to mine four blocks is Erlang-distributed with k=4 and λ=10 minutes, and the probability to find 4 blocks within 6 minutes is about 0.336%.

So, roughly speaking (and strongly simplified, probability-wise), once every 100/0.33581 ≈ 298 chunks of 4 blocks, or once every (100/0.33581)*4*10 minutes ≈ 8.3 days, you can expect 4 subsequent blocks to appear within 6 minutes.

thank you Jace, good quant analysis. Also worth noting that you are assuming the difficulty, which could've been set as long as two weeks ago, still accurately matches the hash rate, producing blocks with a mean target of 600s.

Also note that the probability (W) being calculated is (p) mining 6 blocks within 6 minutes (so it would be the probability of 5 subsequent blocks being mined after any particular block, not 4) and also, given p, (q) the probability of no block being mined for an hour, so the probability I was looking for was:

W = p * q

I was guessing originally around 10,000 to 1

I sent a request to Poloniex to add us, please ping them if you have an account there:
https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Thank you, I have cast my vote.

Not sure they will add it because the coin is worth less than 1 satoshi. I would recommend getting onto the cryptopia LTC market.

With Cryptopia it looks like a coin can get listed for having a total of 5,000,000 total votes, where "DOT votes" count in the total, and 1 DOTcoin spent = 1 DOT vote (I assume). Right now DOT trades for about 17 satoshi, so ~$240 would be the total cost. I could get us started here with some DOT votes, would other people help vote?

Bittrex won't take us back until we are more popular. Allcoin's exchange may have issues with the dev responding.
I'm thinking about trying to get listed at c-cex, might get on for as little as a 1 BTC voting? People can post suggestions.

There is quite some discussions going on if c-cex is a trustworthy exchange in different threads here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1127722.20 to just quote one. I don't know if having c-cex as only exchange is good idea at the moment.

good call - let's make a push for re-listing at bittrex and getting added to cryptsy.

I noticed this coin has been delisted from both the exchanges it was on, but yet still reports 65 MH in network hash...

is there some movement afoot to get this coin re-listed somewhere?

the merge mine is why the hashrate is strong. It's actually 65 GH.

I like Plan C, but with a twist (call it Plan D), price carbon in an open-market system:

I would have thought you'd have plenty already Chris :-) If you have no limit on how many you can buy then why not spend 0.2 BTC getting the coin added to Empoex?

Just fired off a support ticket - will let you know how they respond!

Is block explorer updated?

Block explorer updated. It is still currently located here: http://gre-be.cloudapp.net/index.php

Mostly the features are cosmetic though there is one cool feature where you can click on the coins sent and it'll calculate the current amount of CO2 those coins represent (you can't "click back" yet but I will be updating this over time. I am doing this myself so I have to learn javascript, css, and php).

To see it in action, the most recent GreenCoin payout is here:

As an example, for Producer 8, he received coins in this transaction, which was part of this block (by clicking on the blockhash link). This transaction is part of block height #536451, so if you knew this you could type just the block number into the box on the front page.

Let me know features people want to see and I'll keep a list and try to do them in a one by one fashion.

#1: Fix the coin button so it goes back and forth between coins paid and kg Co2 (and thirdly toggle between price/value, if GreenCoin gets relisted on exchanges).
#2: List the last 20 non-coinbase transactions on the FP
#3: Separate the main coins from the "change" coins in a transaction
#4: List all transactions by address
#5: (etc)

PS: Allcoin dropped GRE as well.

WTB: offering 1 satoshi - no limit
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: intrinsic Problem of Altcoins on: June 27, 2015, 05:05:11 AM
You are totally on point about it being like a "real" business. I run GreenCoin as a non-profit and it's not even a real business, because the central premise of a business is to make money and I've dumped in $30k for 0 return. For me it's about the trying to tackle a global problem (carbon) in a new and different way. Really that's it, after a year+ on it and so little real traction, without that I would've jumped ship months ago.
