201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 17, 2013, 06:32:12 PM

I dont think that is the real answer to the question they were looking for. That is bitcoin and not Nxt.

The real answer is probably yes to the question.

Bitcoin early adopters still had to mine their coins. Nxt founders did not have to mine their coins.
Nxt founders risked some btc when your mouth has been busy trolling somewhere else!
The amount btc early adopters had paid for mining something in existence and processing were almost the same amount in fiat, that we has paid for funding something which was not even clear to come out of the dark or not (and all of you had the same opportunity)
So stop whining, buy some, or if you find it not useful, move over to another one fitting your preferences!

YOU my friend are trolling me, I only answered a question that someone posted. Check yourself before flaming me for giving a truthful answer. Truth defends itself.

Do genesis block owners still hold +50% of the total market cap?

The original 73 accounts from the genesis block transactions have a total balance of 286009248 nxt.
28.6%

Satoshi still has about 8% of total BTC network after FIVE FUCKING YEARS!!!

Now go buy some DOGEcoins or 'pre-order' some ASICs or waste money in GPU+electricity...

Why are you guys so angry?
hehe, really typical!

Excellent, this will save a lot of time for me to review and arrive to a decision, Thank you bud!
Any other person who thinks there are some few others that are not included in the above list, please quote this post and add them as well. I am going to put them in the OP soon for the final decision.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] Announcements for Nxt (the first pure POS coin) on: December 15, 2013, 10:55:34 PM
I just created my second video, first was reported here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345773.msg3875930#msg3875930

Short description of NXT for general audience:
http://wideo.co/view/1302961386354824506-nxt

Then a lot of people asked me about NXT mining, so I created this second animation that is only about NXT Mining:
NXT Mining:

Nice, may I ask you to upload them in youtube as well and post the link here.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] Announcements for Nxt (the first pure POS coin) on: December 15, 2013, 09:43:32 AM
Now that I sent 200K for klee to continue the giveaway, I get enough free air to start reviewing the submitted videos and articles and finally arrive to a final decision about whom to award the bounty prizes (500K for the video, 100K for the artcile and 50K for the Chinese translation).

Please one of you that is more informed and up-to-date, list all the submitted videos and articles with the link in a post. You can also include submissions in other threads and sites, if you know of any!

About articles, yes there are some good ones, that compilation that I promised to receive min. 15K even if its creator can not prevail to exert and produce a good article (coindesk style) from it.
But overally I am not too satisfied with the articles, some of them got submitted in the last moments close to initial deadline (5th of December) and in a hurry Wink Also none of them includes any graphic and has not the standard format of coindesk or btcmagazine news articles.

The last deadline for the video and also the article is December 20th. If you are making one, let us know here ASAP!

I already saw some negative press about this from some trolls claiming that Nxtsters are cheap & Nxt is a scam...F*#king trolls!

Ola asked me to post my BTC address.

As we now have an agreement - if anyone has donated BTC please PM me with your BTC address and the amount you donated and I will provide a refund.

Quite frankly I have more than enough clients currently who are paying up front - so you let me know when you want a Press Release for NXT

Cheers

EDIT: There is actually 0.4 BTC which has been donated towards the NXT Press Release (https://blockchain.info/address/1DhWW2JhTFn1sx8wrMTDPDv6UnDUsbShnk ). So would you like me to do a Press Release for NXT or refund the BTC? As you said you didn't agree with it - so I want approval before / if we go ahead (I like to keep things above board). The main reason we used BTC was because my only NXT wallet is at dgex (which only accepts manual deposits) - and we hadn't heard back from you re the Press Release for NXT and wanted to get the ball rolling.
Dude I just didn't like the method, nothing personal about you, just the method. (I believe you should make a cap for the funding request, so not more than enough donations be sent, or from people who don't know what it is exactly for)
Now that some generous guys have sent you the required 0.4 BTC, you can start and thank you in advance. But please have a submission and conversation with Come-from-Beyond before getting into it, and also please use some material which have been published on the bounty thread for the media coverage (some articles- videos which I am soon to select from and pay the bounty prizes accordingly).

Also please put a cap for the BTC and Nxt donation (that is the part I have problem with). What you do is a kind of paid job, so we better know how much you need per each and in conclusion how much total should be donated to compensate the whole.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 14, 2013, 01:55:20 AM
How much does the community have to raise?

If we pay him, say, 1M then it's ~5'000 USD. But after his work done this million may be worth 500'000 USD...

approximately 0.5 btc..I am unsure how much that is in nxt

Thanks for the support Ola! Some members of NTX dev team expressed interest in a Press Release but unfortunately until now I had not heard anything else from them.

0.5 BTC to 1 BTC will ensure we can do a massive PR campaign Smiley

The only NXT address we have is on the dgex exchange - where NXT deposits are made manually.

So BTC donations would be best. All BTC will be used to purchase NXT on the dgex exchange - as I want to hold more NXT as well as supporting the project Smiley

BTC address for NXT campaign: 1DhWW2JhTFn1sx8wrMTDPDv6UnDUsbShnk

Once we reach at least 0.5 BTC we can get the ball rolling Smiley

Depending on the size of the marketing fund - we can do as many Press Releases as the budget will allow.

I will update this thread once we have reached 0.5 BTC - and then I will work on writing up the Press Release.
No gentlemen this is not the way, of course people may send donation to you as they wish but based on our previous discussion in this thread, I am able to pay you in Nxt from the donation pool I have gathered from stakeholders' donation (~870K Nxt atm we have there).
Ola sent me a pm and so I have to quote: the last time I introduced psybits' pm in the main thread, Become-from-Beyond asked us to wait until the client becomes stable.

I am not a dev or manger of Nxt project, but as the keeper of that donation pool and temporary runner of the bounty thread, I repeat my readiness to pay psybits pre-agreed expenses for covering Nxt in above-mentioned media sites, if and only if the main devs, BCNext and his deputy and current voice Come-from-Beyond agree. But any payment will be only after the job is done satisfactorily.

I have to express my disagreement for the way you are trying to collect BTC or Nxt for compensation of the  media coverage expenses you promise to do, but that is only me and I can't stop people donating you for whatever reason they have under their belt.

PS: for the giveaway waiters, I am sorry for the delay. If my client doesn't get correct sending klee 200K to let him start assigning in the next 24 hours, I ll then send him 200K using a public node to let the giveaway go forward again.

219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 12, 2013, 02:00:29 PM
Okay I have to put my two cents on the matter too:
-While as Jan-Luc correctly posed it, I am following other crypto-projects and also carrying the barrier of my real-life affairs in the same time, so it is hard to put 100% of my time and attention to Nxt alone. But:
I have been active in running and managing the bounty and giveaway thread (if there is a delay in keeping the giveaway going, should you blame the client bugs and not me). from ~49M I got at the day of launch, I've sold and distributed about ~26M starting from ridiculus low prices of 0.5 btc per million, I already donated a lot publicly and also privately and paid several extra bonuses to early buyers as well.

By the way by the nature of my job and the style of my life I can't be online a lot. Some part of the blames BCNext poses regarding laziness and selfishness of some stakeholders are completely legit and I mentioned them as well, but expecting one to help and also mine and... is not realistic.

Some people could help technically, some could help by managing the projects, some by securing the network when mining, and some by donating some coins to help the others keep things going.

Quoting other peoples' post by saying this is a good idea or that is terrific, or proposing impossible childish plans (AKA spamming), or even coming out of the dark voting for something, or saying after a private deal that somebody is the most honest guy here (making others look not that honest) is not helping at all.

Good Day!

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 12, 2013, 12:14:27 AM
@klee: thanks bro, yes we should help Nxt get further Smiley

@Pouncer: this was another part of the idea, we will need soon to put aside a funding source to support techies and devs working on Nxt core development.
We have a funny situation here, some +5M stakeholders have nothing more to do than spamming, and people like Jean-Luc and Nextren are contributing a lot and get nothing to keep their motivation alive. It becomes more tragic when nextern offers a part of the donation he receives to supply my giveaway (which I refused and advised him to keep them for his own uses) but not a dime from.... well I don't need enemies.

The +850K I secured already is for supplying the already posted bounties (video-articles-whitepaper). With the 600K neer.gh promised more, we can be aasured that we are able to pay the remained 400K to Cunicula when he gets the paper ready (he already received 600K) and run the giveaway a bit longer.
But we need another pool and more donations to support the core devs progress. neer.gh has promised 4M Nxt first to supply the giveaway and bounties but in a recent pm I asked him to keep those 3M for himself and only donate us 600K more. I did this because it is not fair that only one person pays 4M while they cost $4K atm and all the others just sit back and wait for the dumping moments and keep spamming (yes I mean you bahamapascal)

Can you briefly summarize what Jean-Luc and Nextren have contributed. Thanks.

Also, my PM is open to propositions for bounties. If I see value, you can be sure I'll contribute.
You can find the details of their work in this thread easily, I have to fly into my bed now Smiley
