He's around, he last posted on the previous page.

Interesting. Would it be helpful if I updated the open-source miner? I don't have very much time right now in the semester, but might be able to sneak in a weekend. It's been two years - I bet I can find at least a 10% speed bump, though it's been a while since I've looked at my code.
A performance boost for the open source miner would certainly help promote better hashrate distribution.

I want to congratulate with "the one" who SOLO mining because it's destroying this coin!
Clap clap
lol, tell that to the Bitcoin solo miners . . .

|

Miners should spread the hashrate, Riepool is mining 50% or more of the blocks. Switch pools or go solo.
Miners should use ONLY the available pools not going solo, if they want to help the Riecoin community. There is nothing wrong with going solo as long as no single entity has over 50% network hashrate.

whoah! someone is making a great work to maintan the ric network. Im connecting to 93 peers right now.
Thanks!
I've noticed a lot of peers as well, but check the "startingheight" on these nodes, they're all sub 100,000 blocks. Think it's a coincidence that over 100 peers show up, all un-synchronized within a few days?

Give me a break Simba, no pool should have over 51% hashpower. Your constant trolling / FUD spewing is toxic to the community.
Maybe someone does not know or forgot yPool periods.... I do not troll nobody, just tell what I think about the current situation of Riecoin and hopefully we can still speak freely here...... Are you actually arguing that it's perfectly okay for one pool or miner to have over 50% of the hashrate?

Riepool has mined 61% of the last 100 blocks and 40% of the last 1000.
Miners need to spread the hashrate, move to XpoolX or uBlock.it or go solo. Not doing so will surly cause the price to drop even farther.
I do not think that the value of the coin depends on how hashrate has a pool compared to another. The pumps are periodic Give me a break Simba, no pool should have over 51% hashpower. Your constant trolling / FUD spewing is toxic to the community.

Now on the Extraction tab of the blockchain: - RiePool 26% - RFqKLWLtxR5K6... 17% - XpoolX 16% - gpupool.com 4% - RHRYttuh4t7Y8... 1% ...and the remaining 36% The type of DDoS these days (the wallet saturation attack) and the fact that many solved blocks each come from a different address, I do not think it's a coincidence. Probably this is the same user with the 5% fee address mentioned by dga, the same that developed 2.500.000-3.000.000 KH/s of mining power on XpoolX and then mysteriously disappeared.... Meanwhile, the exchange value has fallen below 1000 satoshi. for dga: let me find the address (that I don't remember) then I'll communicate Yeah, this current DDoS hasn't been fun. Though I'm sure the blocks are still there, they just don't rank when each block is from a new address.

There's a tweak for periodic "high diff" blocks to set the record primes, and I don't know that part of it. It would be nice to assemble these all, now that you mention it. Once per week we have a block that has a target of 2hs instead of 2.5mins. So for that block we have a higher difficulty, which was enough to break the record a couple of times. The harder block also has more reward, and for the next blocks after the superblock the reward and target times are a tiny bit smaller than usual. This compensates for the superblock and keeps the average supply and block rates at their originally intended values. With the new upcoming update I'm hoping to have a new website with all the info put together in a friendlier way. What version are we moving to on the update?

Those 300 connections are not good, I'm putting together a block list. White-listing inbound connections is great for keeping your node up and preventing DDoS but what about people who need to download the chain? Some nodes still need to be listening.

Someone is now saturating all connections on some nodes, So I just spun up a few more with 1000+ connection slots. I've been running several VPS nodes for a few months now trying to keep this network alive. Initially it was to resolve the forking issues, now i'm just helping out the network. Anyone who can spin up more nodes would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen the name primesr in reference to Riecoin before, not sure if that's correct though.

Simba knows full well about the DDoS attacks, not to mention he's running a functional pool. Simba, if you've been trying to connect to my node with some bogus version string, you're likely blocked dga, if you've been getting DDoS'd I'm sure Simba has white-listed you now. Thanks Simba!

ill give you a hint.. alibaba cloud hosting is not locked inside the firewall
