i do not see any value loss, it's almost at it's all time high. actually i wouldnt be surprised if we could see 10 cents before the next race I don't think so! All Alts have their all time high, just because a lot of money is flowing into the market! I don't think that we will see 10 cent again, but nothing is for sure.. |

Take a look at ETH, their technology is worse than NEM's, but thier marketing is way much better.... So I asked one of our electronics stores who accepts bitcoin to also accept NEM. They told me they are going to expand on crypto but they are definetly not accepting NEM, since, same as XRP, it is owned by a private subject    so they are not going to support this "synthetic currency" since it's not even crypto. Earlier today there was a crypto ""expert"" explaining top 10 cryptos on twitter, stating that NEM and Ripple are not even blockchains. (yeah both of them put shit Ripple and a diamond NEM in one bag and shook it) Conclusion: loads of people that actually study crypto have no idea what NEM is!! imagine that people would know that NEM is most decentralized public blockchain! I would rather vote for NEM funds to be spent on new internal researches then looking for dev teams around the world to apply and develop new NEM technologies. Similar to what ETC is doing now. Any external requests for funds is a red red red flag!
Consider all the failing insecure Ethereum dapps that just sucked money from crowd funding. NEM dev funds should never get trapped in any sort of crowd funding for projects or Dapps that operates on NEM unless the project/research is a core NEM piece that initially been developed internally by the NEM dev team. Only then we can vote.
A third party request for funds should not even open the door for any sort of voting! I would rather vote and debate such principal first.
Everytime something like this comes up, I have not seen one developer in the thread asking for a vote or setting up a system for the initial investors to vote on. We can discuss this all day long, but if we can't actually physically vote then all these are just words and we will be ignored. Can anyone point me to where the voting is happening? If you look at Dash and their model of the masternodes voting on what to fund each month you can learn how to increase use and utility. Dash has a YouTube channel describing everything about development and progress etc. Their aggressive advertising has helped them brand their coin. They have paid outside companies to incorporate dash in their websites. Enabling fiat to dash.
Nem is a great platform but it could use some good advertising and videos explaining the utility. This should be done quickly because new platforms are evolving quickly. Dan Larimer has a new project called EOS that seems very similar to Nem.
We have been telling the Nem team to do some good marketing for years, but they just won't listen. Pls NEM team, put this money into marketing instead of supporting this project! A good marketing is much more important! |

First let me say: I really like the NEM project and before I invested some month ago I did a lot of research. I think we are really looking into a bright future with NEM (maybe with better marketing, that could even be brighter), anyway what makes me wonder is the very low volume for a coin ranked on #4 based on market cap.
I am not sure what could be the reason for the everyday low volume and if that is a good or bad sign, personally I would like to see a higher volume, because than prices are more stable and it needs more capital to move the price. Not sure if that is a correct conclusion.

Low volume is due to no selling pressure due to miners. That is a good point, I did not think about that. But still not the only reason I suppose No margin trading is also a reason and NEM is mostly traded at Poloniex, not at Kraken or other big exchanges.. We are just at the beginng  Contact relevant exchanges to show them demand for NEM ... done!:) Pls everybody, contact these exchanges, it will cost just some minutes of your time but will make NEM much stronger! |

It makes me sick seeing the NEM booth at Consensus knowing I still have NEM Stake that they didnt let me redeem since I was on active duty orders. Really shitty.
Fault is entirely yours as you didn't invest 10 minutes to get your claim in time. Blaming others quite pathetic here so get over it, it's just money and crypto industry boom only started. Many people did stupid things (myself included) and lost this opportunity. But other opportunities are still here and who knows where NEM can be in one or two years. Absolutely right! I lost also a lot by stupid daytrading and on some days I am really pissed off! But this is just the beginning of crypto, who knows maybe XEM will be at 100 $ in 10 years or even in 5 years! I also lost out a big deal a couple of times, but that's life and it's a lesson learned. Just never give up and don't lose hope. I was lucky that I put all the rest of my btc into XEM, because I believed in this project! And it is still the best coin! |

They're one of many sponsors to the event, a smaller one at that. Still a great development and things seem to be moving quickly with this coin. I do believe that XEM is the perfect bitcoin replacement coin. It's the best tech for a scalable currency of any of the alts and bitcoin although respected, is old code with it's own set of limitations.
And one of the best things about NEM is that it doesn't need big mining companies and btw not wasting electric energy! |

I am hesitant to invest it. after all, it is the first XEM-based project, and the current XEM price trend is quite good, but judging from the community activity, it seems not ideal. anything wrong with it？ or just the project is not so promising？ It is just too expensive in my opinion, but it is up to you! |

I guess NEM will be at 1-3 $ in one year, Catapult is still not released! It is unbelievable that NEM goes up to 10k Satoshi without Catapult I have more expectation on NEM may be I am expecting more than 5$, still, i am holding a lot of XEM coins for bigger returns. Seems there are many developments being happened at background so there are big chances that price will increase. Of course 5$ is possible too:), but 1-3$ is for sure on condition that everything will be fine with Catapult! |
